To buy a car they're good. Service dept not so good. They neglect to tell you the whole story and then blame you for the issue

Purchased a car from Minnesota and provided $1000 in earnest money and had a purchase agreement. Travelled out to New Hampshire to get the car and the sales manager sold it out from under me without as much as a courtesy call/text. Sales manager said it was a communication error? I don't believe it. He looked for a couple hours to find another car, called me back with an update and then I never heard from him again. More poor service and remember this is the sales manager who is supposed to support customer service. Customer service from management is poor and untrustworthy. Out of state/area buyers beware, earnest money and purchase agreement means nothing here and you may be left without a car and get the added burden of the additional cost of travel as a door prize. I gave them one star because I couldn't give them a zero to equal the car I didn't get. read more

Purchased a truck here almost three weeks ago. Needed a new sticker to match my birth month but really wanted someone to thoroughly go through the vehicle as our entire family is about to be in this truck heading out of town and did not want the dealer just slapping a sticker on. The vehicle passed emissions inspection but due to the cracked tires, failed safety. Contacted crest and spoke to the service manager, who told me to bring the truck in. Took the truck in to be told basically that the tires are inspectable, just barely, and that they had questioned it themselves when put on the lot but they refused to stand by the tires and replace them. Three weeks into a $40,000 truck and I'm replacing weather cracked tires. This was after they messed up our paperwork and STILL have not sent the information to the bank to be processed. took my Cadillac for service CHECK ENGINE LIGHT was told it was an sensor that was replaced and charged $270 picked in up and was driving hone and the CHECK ENGINE light came on so brought it back. they said the $270 part that was replaced was faulty so they replaced it at no charge. LIGHT STAYED OFF BUT WHEN I GOT GAS I NOTICED THE GAS CAP WAS NEW. No mention of gas cap and no charge, went to service dept to complain about $270 charge for part that was not needed as issue was gas cap. The gentleman that helped me today decided I had to be treated like a silly child instead of an adult who can handle herself, and finance choices. When I asked to see what cars would be under a certain price I was told: "I'd rather not until you know if you have a co-signer or not. I'd hate for you to get your hopes up. " Jokes on him I'm used to disappointment, and told him he could go ahead and show me the cars anyway. It completely seemed like he only had that demeanor toward me because he knew a sale wouldn't be happening today. I get it, commission sucks. Other than the way he treated me personally, he was a great guy. Very knowledgeable and could answer all my questions. Disclaimer: you're probably reading this and thinking I perceived him wrong, but once he asked my age he again changed his demeanor toward me. If I could give Crest zero stars I would. Absolutely useless. I was stranded because of a flat tire. They told me it would take up to a week to get a tire and install it on my car..........really? I went down the street, purchased a tire and had it installed in under ten minutes by the fabulous team at Frechette Tire. read more

This is the type of place that you hear about when it comes to car sales. The type of place that you think must ONLY exist in sitcoms, but it's real. They sold a $16,000 car for $29,000 to a Veteran who is hard of hearing and his wife who didn't understand what was going on. Once they realized the elderly couple were nodding and signing, they clearly took advantage of them. They have put this couple in dire financial hardship. The price and terms were not clearly explained, when they got the letter from the bank that their first payment (Coming up in a couple weeks) would be a huge chunk of their income, they tried to return to the dealership. Where they were met with a "Once it's signed we don't do anything" attitude. Once they got their signatures, this couple could go live under a bridge for all they cared. While there we saw a number of other elderly shoppers, apparently targeting the elderly and taking advantage of them is what they do the best. They added an "extended warranty" that cost $2700 and covers only what the manufacturer warranty covers. It started with a scratch ticket type promotion, when the couple showed up to "collect" the $1,000 they thought they had won, they got fast talked, swindled and taken advantage of. BTW... they never got the $1,000 off their car, and their trade-in came to -$4600. That's right, their trade in COST them more, and the people were told "We will take care of the payments on your old car" The car the couple bought blue-books (From dealer) for $16,000 and Crest was selling it for $20,000. Buyer beware DO NOT shop here. We are retaining a lawyer through the VA who intends to follow channels through consumer protection agency and BBB. read more

As a local, trying to keep my money local, I went to Crest because their radio ad states that they will match or beat the competition. We went in with a couple of comparisons and was basically told "Oh we can't compare these vehicles because they are not exactly alike, we stand by our price." You tell me how many vehicles out there are exactly alike, the same color, the same exact mileage, the same feature package, and the same location. There was no effort in trying to reduce the price or keep our business. The deposit to hold a vehicle was not given back, I have to return another day to receive my money. read more

This is the single most frustrating dealership I have ever tried to buy a car from. After test driving and agreeing on a price, I realized that the Bluetooth didn't work (a common issue for the model I was looking to buy). No big deal, they said that it had just been working and they would get it in the shop on Saturday and try and fix it for me (this was Friday). On Saturday I called to see if there was any updates, they said they were busy and it was going in the shop on Monday. Alright, so I called Monday, they said it was going in on Tuesday, called Tuesday, still not in the shop etc etc. It's now been a week and they just called me to say that the car didn't actually have Bluetooth so there's nothing to fix. It does have bluetooth, there's literally a Bluetooth button inside of the vehicle that gives you an error message when you try and pair your phone. Regardless, this was still not that big of a deal for me and I told them I would still be willing purchase the car with the broken bluetooth. The icing on the cake was when they wouldn't honor the original agreed upon price, and they now wanted OVER $1,000 MORE for a car that they had not fixed. Can't speak for buying a vehicle only customer/vehicle service. On those accounts though I can tell you I would never buy a vehicle here. I bought my new 2014 equinox at a dealer about 2 hours away and use crest only because of its proximity to me for my regular scheduled maintenance. Every time I have called the person answering the phone was rude and short. For example they have 2 service departments, GM and Chrysler. I did not know this the first time I called and when I asked to be connected to the service department she talked very condescending to me like I should have known they have two. The gentleman making the appointment was nice enough but when I showed up the guy behind the counter didn't even acknowledge me while I stood akwardly there for a couple minutes. The facility itself is just plain run down, water stains all over the ceiling, dust everywhere, torn magazines scattered around the waiting area which crams about 8 chairs in a 10x10 space so you rub knees with the stinky guy next to you. It's the little things that if they were fine you would never notice that subconsciously make you feel comfortable in a place but Crest lacks those things. The place really sticks out as a dump. I will only continue to get my scheduled maintenance here while it's covered by GM but when I need to pay I will be going elsewhere. By the way the vehicle service I get was fine but than again I have only gotten oil changes and tire rotations. read more
