This Y has the attached posted in the ladies locker room area. I have to add to my previous review that the front area receptionist,

This Y deserves to have definitely a 5 stars. The equipments are all updated and very new compared to other local Ys and the other gyms I go to like 24hrs Fitness and LA Fitness. The cycling bikes are the latest bikes that I have seen in any cycling studios around this area. The treadmills are all the latest model. The gym is super clean and spotless. There are sanitizer bottles in every room and at the entrance. The Group exercise classes have the best instructors I ever had in any of my other classes in any other gyms. The schedule of these classes are perfect for morning workouts and I love the outdoor pool which has always have a line for me for lap swimming. Overall this gym has it ALL for many activities .

Closed at 8pm, they turn sauna's off at 7:30. The facility is decent..BUT In today's world, A GYM SHOULD BE OPEN PAST 8PM AND OPEN ON SUNDAYS!!!! This is the most ridiculous policy in today's WORKING WORLD. Do better, people who are working sometimes don't even get to the gym until 7 or 8 pm. And closing a gym on Sunday, a day where most people get off and are able to actually go to the gym is ludicrous at well. This is a cop out, this is a excuse not to pay overhead facility cost or increase employee hours and staffing. Get it together you are not THAT Budget friendly anymore anyways.

Love the ymca. Equipment is great there's is a fairly vast variety ranging all the way from cardio to weights. There are yoga rooms and it even has a pool. The workers are always nice, greet me when I come in. However one setback might be that the building is a little old that the equipment shows as well which explains the four star. Parking is also great there are always open spots that's very convenient. But besides that the ymca is great for weight training, cardio, swimming, or if you want to use the sauna. Sadly there are no basketball courts.

The Crescenta Valley Family YMCA just opened this week and the community is lucky to have a new one in town. Previously, the property was owned by another gym, but I can see lots of benefits coming in the future with the YMCA in charge. One benefit is that members will be able to go to one of three locations in the Crescenta Valley. There is one in La Canada and another in Tujunga. All three have pools, but this one is the only one that has a nice outdoor pool. I will continue to use their facility in La Canada, but I am looking forward to swimming in the pool at this new location.

This gym is more for family or novice lifters, but this Lowell location has most and I usually don't leave the same 2 rooms.

The customer service is outstanding; the staff is friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help with anything you need. One of my favorite parts is the beautiful mountain views while working out--it makes the experience even better and more motivating. Plus, having 24/7 access is a game changer. No matter what time I go, there's no waiting for equipment, and I can get my workout in on my schedule. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a clean, convenient, and well-managed gym!

I have a health condition that causes my blood sugars to drop really low(especially while training)so I always have food packed! One day I asked Logan if I could eat on the table, he respectfully declined and said I could eat on the bench in the background of this picture. So I did! No problem. A week later I was working out for about an hour before I started going hypoglycemic. I felt like fainting. So I sat down on that same bench and ate my food to stabilize my blood sugars. Logan rudely interrupts and proceeds to tell me I can no longer eat on the bench (that he previously gave me permission to) that's completely separated with a wall partition from the rest of the gym. He tried kicking me out for eating a meal! This is discriminatory behavior and should not be tolerated! I contacted corporate because the way he escalated the situation was completely unnecessary. There's no need to kick me out of my own gym when I could barely walk. It seems like Logan is abusing his staff power instead of taking care of his members. I should've been asked if I was feeling ok instead of being asked to leave. I'm terminating my membership as soon as the 2 year commitment expires.

They're always nearby to make sure my form is correct, and they never lose patience when I ask them to remind me how to do certain moves. Speaking of supervision, I went to Lift today for the first time in about a week and a half, and I told Chenell that I've been experiencing some pain in my left shoulder. She sent Dirk outside to talk to me about it, and after I described my symptoms, he re-wrote part of my workout and continued to check in to make sure I wasn't in any pain. I felt super safe and respected, and there was ZERO pressure for me to push through any discomfort. Hiiiighly recommend this place!

The environment is welcoming, supportive, and most importantly, safe in every way. As a woman, that matters more than it should, but here we are, still at that point in this dumb world, unfortunately. I have never once felt uncomfortable working out there. The gym itself has six stations, which makes it feel like a semi-private training experience and all of the training is with free weights. Every workout is tailored specifically to me, which is a huge benefit. I'm a former ballerina with injuries and fibromyalgia, so I need a lot of modification in my training, depending on the day. They always meet me where I am at and we adjust as needed. They also still manage to keep things challenging when I express wanting to push further but it is always in a way that feels safe and productive. One thing I especially appreciate, coming from a dance background, is how much they focus on body mechanics. Dirk, Chenell, and Emily don't just tell you what to do or demo it once and walk away. They actually take the time to explain what's happening in your body, how to move correctly, and why it matters. Over the past almost five years, I've gotten noticeably stronger and my body has changed for the better but beyond that, it's had a real impact on my mental health, too. Showing up here feels good; so good, that I recommend the gym to many of my friends. If you're looking for a place to train and a workout that's personal and supportive with real results, this is the place.

It brings me joy! What's weird is people like using the green faux grass strip (aka the sled track) for sit-ups and such. It's not their fault tho, as all the low impacts weights are in the corner right next to the strip. The locker room has a sauna, and there's a nice lounging area just outside the locker room with quality stocked vending machines. The free book library is right there as well. The one problem was the cycle class. It's so so sad because they created an amazing space. It looks like one of those cycle clubs, with a raised area for the instructor, track lights around the mirror, and newer bikes. But we tried a class and realized very quickly why it's only moderately filled. The old dude started by saying we were going to have a cheer off, saying he was working on our public speaking (aka WHAT I DO FOR A LIVING). He kept saying just wait til we get going, that the class would be challenging, but ten minutes in and we were still stretching to classical music. I couldn't stomach it, I had to leave before it "got good." Overall a wonderful facility though, it's always a treat when I'm in the neighborhood.

I was definitely reluctant at first I've always worked out on my own and wasn't sure if this would be a beginner focused gym. But I decided to give it a shot. From the very first day, I was welcomed so kindly. Women introduced themselves, helped me when I was unsure of what was going on, and made me feel right at home. What I love most is that while we're all doing the same workout, everyone lifts weights that feel right for them no pressure, just support. I especially appreciate that the workouts rely on free weights instead of machines, which makes it easy to replicate at home if needed. The workouts are both challenging and realistic, and the trainers are incredibly knowledgeable. They're always walking around checking form, offering encouragement, and even pushing you to go heavier when they know you can handle it. But truly, the best part of this gym is the women. We come from all different walks of life, but we share the same goal: to be healthy and strong. We cheer each other on, laugh together, complain about our aches and pains and if someone's missing for a week, you better believe someone's checking in. It's more than a gym. It's a sweaty, supportive, empowering family that I look forward to seeing every day!
