I lived here for about 6 years, from November 2019 through December 2025. Unfortunately, what started out as a decent place to live progressively became a nightmare. There were constant mailroom break-ins. One night around 3 a.m., I actually caught someone breaking in and called the police. When the officers arrived, they were extremely frustrated because they said the office had not been helpful with previous cases. The cameras weren't being properly maintained or repaired, leaving them with little to work with. What was especially frustrating was that residents affected by break-ins weren't notified. After my incident, I found out there had been other issues, yet there was no notice to residents. I'm honestly surprised to hear that the gates now work. During the entire time I lived there, they rarely worked, and I moved out in December 2025. Parking was another issue. If someone parked in your assigned spot, the office would apparently take up to three days to do anything about it. That meant you could be without your own parking spot for days. We also experienced two separate flooding incidents caused by an upstairs neighbor. During the first incident, the janitor knocked once and immediately entered after knocking. It was around 8 p.m., and I was half naked, so I was understandably upset that I wasn't given enough time to answer the door. More concerning was the lack of remediation after both flooding incidents. Nothing was really done to properly address the affected areas, and the walls weren't properly checked afterward. I was concerned that this could eventually lead to mold issues. Unfortunately, that is exactly what happened. We dealt with what we were told wasn't mold for years. Eventually, it spread from the bathroom into the bedroom closet. Management wanted to paint over it, which I refused to accept. At that point, I demanded to be released from the apartment without notice, and they allowed us to leave. Moving out was the best decision we made. Living there had become a nightmare. I now live in a newer, cleaner apartment, and I've noticed that my sinuses have been much better since leaving. Maintenance was also consistently slow in my experience. It often took around two weeks to get something repaired or completed, and I would have to repeatedly remind the office to follow up. I was friendly with one of the janitors, and he told me that there were only two of them handling the maintenance work, so hopefully staffing has improved since then. There are also safety concerns for pet owners. Coyotes do come into the area and, during my time there, one attacked a small dog while someone was walking it. I would be very cautious about walking pets around the property, especially at night. There were also people coming onto the property in the mornings with shopping carts, going through trash and collecting things, which added to the overall feeling that the property wasn't being adequately controlled. If you decide to live here, document everything. Take pictures, keep records, and communicate with management through email whenever possible so you have a written record of maintenance requests, incidents, and conversations. After six years, I can honestly say that leaving was one of the best decisions I made. I hope things have improved for the current residents, but based on my experience from 2019-2025, I would not choose to live here again. read more

This review is to recognize Ethan, who works for Cannon Management. Our air conditioner has struggled to keep us cool on a consistent basis for the past several years. The property has sent the regular maintenance team to repair the ac unit but unfortunately the fix only last a few days. Today Ethan was on our property and he diagnosed and repaired the ac unit within 20 minutes. Ethan deserves more than recognition on Yelp. I hope his Supervisors and the leadership team demonstrate their value and honor this employee. We have lived at Crescent Heights nearly 14 years and call this our forever home. There are a couple good people here, just to start. Leaving here was the best decision I've made though. My apt was entered twice in a two week span without any prior notification.(caught on camera) Even after the manager promised me she would hand deliver my notices when it happened the first time, it happened again. I called corporate and they did absolutely nothing about it and did nothing for me. The lady wouldn't even admit that what they did was wrong. Worthless. Also, all the appliances are a million years old and filthy. Not worth what you pay in rent to live there. Our washer/dryer was replaced and worked on several times. It was replaced with another old dryer they had, which also broke and had to get fixed. (took them four weeks to fix it the third time) We also had mail missing several times because no one was doing anything when the mail was getting broken into. The gates to get in and out haven't worked in years and they never will because the parts to fix them don't exist.(according to their maintenance crew) The gates are too old. Oh and in mid summer at 100 degree temps, the AC in their small gym just happened to go out and didn't get fixed for over a month. So their solution was to put two little fans in there to keep it cool. The maintenance guys work hard, so it's a shame they can't get new and better equipment in there for them. I don't usually write reviews about apartment complexes, but I really felt compelled to in this case. I was a little wary of moving into a studio, as my last studio felt very cramped (especially with two cats). However, I was able to get a studio loft on the second floor at the end of the row, and it was absolutely perfect. Kelli was super responsive during the leasing process, and I got moved in fairly quickly. The biggest thing I loved about this studio was how quiet it was! I barely ever heard my neighbors, and that was such a relief coming from apartments with paper thin floors. Additionally, the loft made the studio feel so much bigger than my last studio even though the square footage was the same. I also had the most amazing view of the hills from the loft area, especially in the evenings with the sunset. I was originally disappointed that I had to use a laundry room, but honestly I can think of only a single time where I ever had to wait to do laundry. The rest of the time there was always at least one machine open, and people always seemed prompt about removing their laundry when the cycle was over. The location is also great - I regularly walked to the park and over to Target/Albertsons/movie theater. The quick access to I-15 is nice too. Finally, Dale and Jason in maintenance and Alex in the front office were always extremely responsive. At my last apartment, I would put in maintenance requests and it felt like they just disappeared into the void for weeks. I experienced limited maintenance issues but when I did, they came the same day! Dale also works hard at cleaning up the property every morning so it looks nice. Anyway, I really enjoyed my time here and was sad to leave it when I moved out of the area. read more

We have had air conditioner issues since July. It was leaking and now our ceiling is destroyed and crumbled. Water was getting into our hallway light. Have Ben having roach problems for 2 YEARS with them only sending someone out every few months but the guy even said the building was SO BAD that unless they put us up in a hotel for a few days they will still be here because it's through the building! I mean it's 100 effing degrees and all they gave us as a "bandaid fix" is an air fan that needs to be installed in our window and 2 fans. For our 3 bedroom apt. I swear if there was another place cheaper we would move in a heartbeat. I don't even want to have friends over because of the roach issue. It's just ridiculous. read more

Really glad I chose this place for my first apartment experience, everyone here made my stay very welcoming. I lived here for a year and found that management is really accommendating, Maintenace is not hard to get ahold of, and shout out to Alex the owner who is very professional and understanding with her residents. I do wish my apartment had windows that was the only downside of my stay but really peaceful community to live. I wouldn't recommend this apartment community to anyone else! After living here for almost two years, I've had to deal with a roof leak every time it rained. I finally put in my notice because this roof leak has been an ongoing issue! I've been left with a hole in my living room ceiling, unable to eat, relax, enjoy time with my kids because of How bad it smelled. Who knows if there is mold left behind from the previous rains. I've discussed it with management on numerous occasions and was promised it would get fixed but yet I encountered this very same issue when it rained. Management has compensated very little towards my frustration with this!! If you're considering moving here, I suggest you move on. This morning I put in a request with Kelly, the manager, to have the kitchen lights replaced and this afternoon Jason, our maintenance team member had the bulbs replaced in 5 minutes. I have not had air conditioning in my apartment for 3 days and Alex the office manager doesn't seem to care. She told me she has 10 days to address the issue and AC problems are not considered urgent. Her only response... "I don't know what to tell you." With temperatures approaching 100 degrees you'd this would be an urgent matter. I live in a studio with only one window and no cross breeze, I have to keep my door wide open to get a little relief. I live right next to the laundry unit so many of my neighbors walk right in front of my apartment. I have no privacy, I shouldn't be expected to live this way for days. To be treated this way by people who manage the community I live in is unsettling. Regardless what policies say a little human decently and understanding goes a long way. In response to the Crescent Heights reply... obviously I know that other tenants need to be addressed, however, Alex was not coordinating with the maintenance team. The lack of ownership and urgency over the issue is what is frustrating. If I could arrange for repairs myself this wouldn't be an issue but I am 100% reliant on the office staff to address my issues and that wasn't happening. I already left a message with Leah, the general manager, and I haven't heard from her. I guess tenant issues aren't as urgent as you claim. read more

I would not recommend living here .I lived here for 4 years.In the beginning ,the "gated community " was actually gated and the gates would be closed after 5.They kept breaking so after the first 2 years gates would be wide opened day and night .I had also tons of packages stolen ,including produce /food delivery and clothes with the drying rack that I left on my patio to dry .Someone must have really needed that rack and worn work clothes.My neighbors had told me the same ,they had packages stolen on and off starting 2018.When I complained to the management ,she said I was the only one mentioning something like that :))) that was funny ; as if I was not talking to my neighbors .If you pretend it is not a problem then I guess it goes away ?:) The garbage would overflow every weekend so there were cockroaches all over and the smell of rot on some hot summer weekends was unbearable. In the end I got charged for all my deposit even though we left the apartment clean as a a whistle .I expected it as all the reviews had mentioned this ,but it was still bs.There is a meth rehab clinic within 100 feet distance .so you never know what you will see when you get home .I had moved to Murrieta from Chicago ,so I had no idea I was this close to a meth rehab clinic or I would have picked another place .This was presented as "luxury living " trust me ,far from luxury. The admin office staff , changes quite often so obviously Cannon Management is terrible not only for tenants ,but also for their employees ,otherwise why would it be a revolving door of staff .I stayed so long because it was literally 5 min away from my job ,but I am glad to have a house and a community where I get home and my packages are waiting for me now! Side note : several times there were cop cars gathered by the entrance interviewing people.No idea what happened ,but I am sure there was some criminal activity going on .Felt super unsafe as a single woman who worked 10 hours a day on average leaving extra early and coming usually pretty late .Coming home to cop cars all over is never good .A few times someone tried to get in my house (pushing the door and trying to open the front door ,moving the handle ) I actually heard it and saw it as I would start work at 7 am so I would wake up many times at 5 am when it is still very dark out .This happened several times and I am sure people were trying to rob apartments at night ,maybe the cop cars were there for robberies interrogations ?no idea ,but not safe .Also ,this place is not cheap at all !!! Try apartments that maybe are not managed by cannon management altogether ,they have terrible reviews on all their complexes and they are overall bad news . read more

If you're looking for an apartment in the Murrieta area, I can honestly say that you'd be hard pressed to find a nicer place to live than Crescent Heights Apartment Homes. Their community is nice and good sized for an apartment living lifestyle!! We lived here for a little over 5 years and only recently moved to move into a house. Their staff is also very friendly and helpful, led by their Manager, Alex! She is first class and has the tenants best interest at heart! I find it funny how I asked Alexandria at the front office to help me regarding Dale and his family harassing us almost 3 months prior to us moving, she told me she wouldn't do anything about it (I have emails as proof). The day that I called the cops on the family, Dale's daughter called the front office and tried to call in a noise report on me (after she came down to yell and scream in my face in my own home, which I have video documentation of). That's when Alexandria wanted to get involved. She would rather listen to an employee's family member rather than people who had videos and pictures of all of the things we were dealing with. Now that we're moved out and posting so the public eye can see, now they want to handle it? It's too late for that. When you have an employee living on site not only are they representing the face of the company but so is their family and just because they work there doesn't give them the right to treat other residents like garbage. read more

I lived in Crescent Heights Apartment for five years. The staff was very responsive to all my needs or inquiries. The maintenance team was awesome, especially Jason. He was always professional and helpful with repairs in my apartment. He gave proper notice before showing up, and completed the repairs in a timely manner. The gate did stop working a couple years after moving in, which sucked because that was one of the main reasons I moved there. However, I didn't have any issues with safety. The trash would sometimes overflow during the holidays or with people moving , but I started seeing the trash being removed more frequently to combat the issue. The location is perfect, the freeways are close by and lots of stores. read more

Very nice place at first. Management was great, always keeping us in the loop and did whatever they could to get my family and I into a unit. In the initial walk through inspection I noted a few things, Ashley said she would have them fixed....still waiting on the fixes, I moved into the complex in March. Above the master shower there is a pipe that drips water into the tub, I don't know what it is but it's gross. I constantly scrub it every week but it has stained and I know management will try to dip into my security deposit to get rid of the stain. Then on the patio there is a drainage pipe, I've asked to have it looked at and still nothing. There is a lot of water that collects from it, I have to sweep the water out everyday. About mid-day it's a perfect hangout spot for the lizard that are seen throughout the complex. I am not kidding, around noon, there will be about 10-15 lizards and in the evening bugs. I am okay with lizards here and there but that's insane, I even had one get into the apartment and get stuck in the restroom. Now the neighbors part.....everyday there is trash being thrown over the balcony and down to my level. I live at the sub level and have to again, clean up something I shouldn't. Every morning I'm picking up cigarette butts, beer cans, diapers, the occasional broken bottle. I've voiced myself to management and they said the would take care of it. I left the apartment for a few hours and when I came home I found a violation for the mess on my door! I've also had the upstairs Neighbor dump his ice chest water, and mop water down to my level leaving a rancid smell and mud water splash onto my patio. And now the security....yes I've seen some cars with bashed in windows. I've been lucky not to have it done to my vehicle, but it shouldn't be all that surprising. The gates are left open at all hours of the night. There's a security gate with a code, but what's the use if they are broken and never close. In the parking lot you will find a lot of kids running around playing ball so expect kids putting hands all over your vehicle and hitting it will a ball. I'm normally a laid back person and things don't bother me much but I'm at my breaking point. I know this review is mostly negative but i will say the units are nice and the complex has covered parking along with plenty of extra parking spaces. I could get out of my lease with out consequences I would. My time here has changed from a place to call home to more of a goal to finish up my lease. If anyone would like some more info post and I will give you an honest answer of the complex. UPDATE..... Still got problems with the upstairs noise...I guess that's not gonna change. So I feel the need to update because I've hit a breaking point. Last night my fiance and I were sitting out on the patio, just a normal night when all a sudden we hear a splat hit the ground. We looked around....didn't know what it was. All of a sudden my fiance starts to scream, she points to her leg, I look at it thinking something bit her but no....it was far worse. IT WAS VOMIT.....FROM ANOTHER PERSON! So I move to the side and look up...not the best idea...and see my neighbor hunched over his balcony just releasing everything he had to eat that day and possibly the day before. I went upstairs to talk to him about it. Then went to the building management and told them about the situation and they said, "okay, we will see what we can do." I'm sooooo done here. There's been other complaints since the first post but like always no follow through from management and it's just a suck it up game till the end of the lease. read more

It's very nice here. I lived here back when I was in high school & it has held up tremendously. My family and I started looking for a place in April. Once we looked into Crescent Heights and applied, it took us only a week to get into our place. It's hard to move in general, but has proved to be more difficult in these times. The ladies in the office were so welcoming and made us feel more at ease with the transition. The property is beautiful. It is within walking distance of two schools, and shopping centers. It's a safe, friendly community. Looking forward to spending time in our new place. read more

I have no qualms with this place excepts it should have a jacuzzi, and for some reason there's no way to pay rent online or with a debit card. It's 2018. I haven't had a check book in probably a decade, and who wants to stand in line at WalMart for an hour every month to get money orders? It's a real pain in the dupa. Other than that: there is plenty of parking, it's clean, I haven't seen any loud arguments, in a year I think there was one instance of a possible tweaker trying to car shop for unlocked vehicle doors (I was up late and yelled from my balcony scaring them off), it's close enough to walk to stores, and maintenance has been on-point. It would be 5 stars if: realize it's 2018 and have an online payment method, and JACUZZI! Lol read more

If she doesnt like her job she should NOT BE WORKING THERE! Because of her and the other girl i did not get a good home style feeling and i will never be back, we didnt even get a smile. The apartment is decent, the ground staff is friendly. Having recently moved away they wrote to request $900+ dollars in damages on top of the $550 security deposit, for things which are normal where and tear. (carpet stains, and marks on the walls.) I expected some deductions from the security deposit. Crescent Heights is over the top. Painting and cleaning carpets, including patching spots which cannot be cleaned is a normal cost of being in the rental business. Attempting to pass these cost on to consumers is unethical. read more

Best apartment complex! The mangers here are so caring and nice! The maintenance person was awesome and always fixed things fast. I have recommend this place to everyone and I loved living here. I moved to San Diego and there was not problems breaking our lease or with anything. They were so helpful and i felt so safe living here. Two Face is the only way to describe this place. Property Management is extremely friendly to get you into an apartment but after that they will never help you again. They dont inforce any of the house rules. They continue to not look into multiple families living in one residents. Apartment complex is less then a quarter mile to local school, so the parking lot is a great place to find a pick baseball or football game. If you like for your brake lights to be used as a base or as target practice for airsoft guns then live here. Kids are always smoking drugs in the parking lot and children play ground and littered with cigeratte butts and used condoms. Property management response is we will look into it. My car stays clean from all the kids rubbing on it during ball games. If you have more then one car chances are management will try to have it towed. Cars are always getting broken into here. I see broken glass every other day. All the ways are extremely thin. I can hear my neighbors use the restroom everytime. Its sick, If your not on the top floor it feels like your living in a college dorm. None stop partying and hope you enjoy your neighbors tv cause you will be listening to what they watch. If you use the washing machine the entire kitchen shacks. I strongly suggestg living any where else then here. Maybe Tijuana is quiter. read more

I just moved out last month, but only because I bought a house. I lived there for 3 years and enjoyed my apartment and the community for the most part. After moving out, I was charged for carpet cleaning, paint, and clean charges, but nothing above my deposit which was around $400 or so. I mean getting charged for that stuff is pretty typical, right? Anyway, the guy before me must have done a whole lot more to get "$900+ charges" just saying. read more
