We came back to this cafe b/c we love the food and coffee. This was our first time visiting on a Sunday. While we were looking at the menu outside, there was an employee standing by the entrance, but we were never greeted or informed that there was a waitlist for dine-in seating. Since we've always ordered at the register and then found a table after, we did the same thing as usual. While I was placing our order, my sister sat at an empty table and was told to leave because there was an hour waitlist. We were genuinely confused b/c we had no idea there was a waitlist, and of course we immediately apologized & left the table. We felt terrible and offered to switch our order to takeout to avoid any inconveniences, the employee remained dismissive and rude throughout our interaction. I'm not sure if she thought we did it on purpose, but she took off with an attitude. We understand it's busy, it could be frustrating and stressful, but that interaction wasn't necessary, it was a clear misunderstanding and we asked switched to take out to avoid issues or taking someone else's spot. We also noticed other customers making the same mistake, which made it seem like the seating process wasn't clearly communicated. A simple greeting or letting customers know there was a waitlist before ordering would have completely avoided the misunderstanding instead being dismissive. I also don't recall seeing "please wait to be seated" sign or I'm not sure if we missed it ? Despite this experience, we still plan on coming back b/c we truly enjoy the food and the cafe itself. They do have great service, they did not give us any issues changing the order to take out. They understood it was a misunderstanding of the seating. It could have just been a bad day for that specific employee that was rude , but we just hope there can be better communication for customers in the future. read more

Discovered this place a few months ago and now I want to have breakfast there every week. Their cafe de olla is delicious! I love the chilaquiles with red sauce and chicken. It's a great portion and has a good kick but not too spicy. The hubster enjoyed the green sauce chilaquiles and he added an egg to his. The ham and cheese empanadas were savory. The place has limited indoor seating and some outdoor seating. It's small and attracts a crowd for breakfast and brunch so there can be a bit of a wait. The decor inside is really cute. You order in the front and then find seating. They don't take your order at the table. Very big menu with lots of food options and drinks. Definitely a new go to for me. read more

TLDR: poor service, mediocre food, lies about wait times Man, I really wanted to like this place. The menu is huge and the reviews are good. The interior is also super cute. We went on a Sunday around noon and since that is their busiest day, they don't take reservations. We originally had a party of 7 and were told it'd be an hour and a half for a table. While there were a few people waiting outside, when I went inside to use the restroom I noticed multiple open tables. Everyone bailed except my boyfriend and myself because I wanted to try it. We told the hostess and she said it'd be about 40 minute wait for first available. So we went to Starbucks for a drink and maybe 5-10 minutes after talking to the hostess, we got the text to return. We were going to be seated outside so I asked how long to wait for inside. She said 30 minutes. So we sat outside. A couple that had put their name in as we were seated got sat inside after waiting 5 minutes. We sat right next to the door so it was hard to miss. Kinda felt like a slap in the face but whatever, we were hungry. You have to order inside at the register which makes it feel more like quick service than a normal restaurant. So my boyfriend orders. He points at the item we want (chilaquiles). He asked for water , a side of poblano sauce. When the food comes out, after about 10 minutes (so pretty quick), it wasn't chilaquiles but an egg and potato dish. We explain this isn't what we ordered and the bus boy goes to get the women inside whom my boyfriend ordered from. She insists he ordered something different. He said 'I pointed at what I wanted which was the chilaquiles'. The lady agrees (it felt like reluctantly) to have it made with the red sauce it comes with. About 5 minutes later the chilaquiles come out with a green sauce. No water, no side of poblano sauce. I get up and go to ask what happened and the man at the register looked up our order. He Told us we didn't order chilaquiles and became argumentative. At this point I just want the side of sauce and will eat what they gave us because we were hungry and didn't want them to mess it up again. Silverware was also not at the table and had to be asked for. The green sauce is fine but not what is on the menu or what we ordered. The poblano sauce was tasty. The potatoes were mushy. Eggs cooked well but salad wilted. The order also came with an empanada. I got cheese and it was fine. Nothing to go back for. We also ordered a biscoff crepe. I'm sure if you've never had a Parisian crepe you'd think it was good however, the consistency was of it was like a flour tortilla. Not authentic at all. The biscoff sauce made it taste ok. My boyfriend noticed the table next to us also had an incorrect order. So, they lie about the wait times, don't get orders correctly then argue with the customer when you try to get it right, and the food tastes just ok. Is it good for IG, yes. This place is bigger than I thought it would be for a menu that is. I came here after unloading a trailer at an office near where my father works. It is about 2 minutes away. I've never been inside this place before but I have ordered from Uber Eats here to receive their empanadas of which they are know for. It's about $6 each which is quite expensive for empanadas. I don't believe they are worth the hype, but they tasted good nonetheless. Service at the front was not great. The woman didn't seem to bother smiling or cared about customers coming in before closing. We didn't order much and yet after ordering a small portion of food or snacks for such reason, she decided not to smile again. I don't know what her problem was, but it was not pleasant at all. I ordered three empanadas that I haven't tried before, the ground beef, machaca (shredded beef with egg) and a spinache, egg and onion empanadas. The only good one was the ground beef one which was the last one left. I reason most people loved this one since it was almost gone when we were there compared to the other ones shown. Inside is small, great detail to the decoration inside, relaxing and pleasantly peaceful. All of which anyone is up for after work. The menu itself is humongous, unnecessarily huge and not really easy to navigate thru from a customers standpoint. I also ordered two drinks. The first one was a $7 matcha iced with oat milk. It was bitter and had that quality matcha inside. It was not worth $7 but it did taste authentic. The other one was a vanilla ice cream with pistachios with espresso coffee poured on it. It was approaching $10 for that alone, it was oddly sweet and was relatively fresh when I tasted it. Of course a lot of sugar and artificial sweeteners were in it. It wasn't homemade or organic as far as I could tell. I would say, it is just like any other place I've been to in the past. I found it to be okay. It could have been better with the woman smiling, but she didn't at any time. That also goes with the cashier. She wasn't friendly either. She didn't seem to like working there. I was quite curious about Crepissima and gave it a shot with a friend the other day. Boy was it a major disappointment. From service to food, everything was FAR below average. We walked in, and I placed my order at the counter. I tried to speak to the lady at the counter and get a feel for what's good. She suggested the chilaquiles and I was excited for some epic goodies! She was unenthusiastic. I thought it was a singular person issue.. but I was wrong. When another woman brought over our coffees, she too was extremely upset. Moreover, my chilaquiles came out COLD! No joke, I was shocked. Not only was the verde sauce cold but my chips were rock hard! The only edible piece of food was the eggs. Smh at nearly $20+ dollars, you would think the food would be edible, bare minimum. Well here's where it go more interesting. We had seen a video of a crepe place on Instagram so assumed it had to be this place & we're right. What a hidden gem! We did get to try the food this past weekend and it was fantastic! Such a wonderful flavor, not bland at all. We arrived at 11am during the week and it was very busy. By time we received our food the inside and outside were both close to full. Crepissima has been here for 7 years and I am so happy to see them busy. They are known for their empanadas and crepes (savory & sweet), however they have such a large menu filled with breakfast items such as omeletts, pancakes, chilaquiles, benedicts and of course crepes gallore. Then they have an extensive lunch menu as well. We ordered the pancakes for the first time. It was a large stack of thick and fluffy pancakes with fruit. We also ordered the Chilaquiles Maya & Empanada Combo served with a salad and I chose to have beans instead of potatoes and a peach empanada. The salsa maya sauce is delicious. Wow! What a spectacular surprise! Where have I been for the past seven years? Here is a truly outstanding spot for breakfast, lunch, and dinner -- to say nothing of just stopping in for drinks or dessert -- and I had no idea it was here! There was an upbeat and eclectic playlist running the whole time, to entertain us and enhance the fun of being there. It is clean and pretty and cozy -- what more could we ask? The portions are generous and the flavoring is kicked up several notches (nod to Emeril Lagasse), so you don't want to miss even one bite. We rarely finish our meal at a restaurant but literally couldn't stop eating here. So, we order empanadas to take home. The hours are extensive, the parking is ample and easy, and the prices are very reasonable. You can eat inside or on the charming patio. I than walked inside the business and it was so cozy and welcoming with a antique touch! This place was a 10/10. We can't wait to come back and try more from the menu. I ordered the huevos rancheros and a Nutella crepe, and both were amazing. What really stood out about the huevos rancheros is that the tortilla on the bottom is homemade by the owner's mother and made by hand... you can absolutely taste the difference. This IS a hidden gem. They have inside and outdoor seating. I arrived around 9:30ish am and inside was already filled which I can understand why since everything is delicious. They have a cute set up of tables outside and the staff even came by to move the umbrella attached to the table to make sure the sun wasnt shining on our eyes. From the staff that takes our order to the staff that delivered our food everyone is super kind and attentive. They stopped by a few times to refill our waters, cafe de olla which is beyond appreciated. Food is delicious from the dessert crepes, chilaquiles, sweet empanadas they all taste homemade and fresh. I tried the chilaquiles and they offer a few different choices for the chile ranging from mild to spicy. The guava empanada was warm and filled plenty with guava. They have soo many items to choose from that you can't go wrong with any of the choices. You do need to order and pay at the register then they give you a number (even the signs for the table numbers are cute and silly). They will bring out your food. read more

Today was my first time visiting Crepissima located in Valencia, and it was by far one of the best experiences I have ever encountered. The hospitality of the staff was indescribable. I came in yesterday for breakfast and service was amazing, the guy who helped us was very knowledgeable and kindly adjusted our orders 2-3 times- Service 5/5. Food was amazing- we all order ed chilaquiles - the ones with the maya salsa are bomb, this were different because the salsa was a creamy salsa and wasn't too spicy. They come with an empanada and a small salad which were also good. The empanada was a beef empanada , I swap the empanada for eggs. Good 5/5. The place is cozy and clean but we decided to sit outside since it was a bit sunny and not too cold. By the way- Cafe de olla is 5/5 , taste like authentic cafe de olla. Will be back. read more

Got here around 10:30 for brunch. Lots of indoor booths and outdoor patio tables. So much character in this restaurant-- from the menu, to the interior decor, signage, and even the bathroom LOL. The menu is comically large with tons of different options. I feel like one visit won't be enough to get a proper feel for this place. We got the pepian, Maya's croissant, and mole chilaquiles. Great food and amazing service! We ordered the mole chilaquiles with chicken topped with eggs, steak and eggs, crepe machaca, chicharrón empanadas, and jalapeño beef with chimichurri sauce. Everything came in generous portions and was delicious, well-seasoned, and flavorful. The steak especially was tender and scrumptious. The service really made the experience stand out. All the servers were incredibly attentive and kind--it honestly felt like walking into someone's home and being warmly welcomed. They checked on us often and made sure we were taken care of the entire time. Got the empanadas to go and omg they are the Bomb!!! This place is definitely a gem in Valencia for breakfast and brunch. There is a lot going on here decor but it flows! The food is very good!! Empanadas of all kinds and the crepe fusions mannnnnn so good. Been back already to try new stuff! Today I had the Breakfast Casserole Crepe side of Homemade maya sauce to give the Crepe a slight kick. It was perfect and so filling. My usual go to is the Omelet Plablano with a side of Maya sauce.
