It's supposed to be Chilaquiles Salsa Roja(Spicy) but came with green sauce instead

TLDR: poor service, mediocre food, lies about wait times Man, I really wanted to like this place. The menu is huge and the reviews are good. The interior is also super cute. We went on a Sunday around noon and since that is their busiest day, they don't take reservations. We originally had a party of 7 and were told it'd be an hour and a half for a table. While there were a few people waiting outside, when I went inside to use the restroom I noticed multiple open tables. Everyone bailed except my boyfriend and myself because I wanted to try it. We told the hostess and she said it'd be about 40 minute wait for first available. So we went to Starbucks for a drink and maybe 5-10 minutes after talking to the hostess, we got the text to return. We were going to be seated outside so I asked how long to wait for inside. She said 30 minutes. So we sat outside. A couple that had put their name in as we were seated got sat inside after waiting 5 minutes. We sat right next to the door so it was hard to miss. Kinda felt like a slap in the face but whatever, we were hungry. You have to order inside at the register which makes it feel more like quick service than a normal restaurant. So my boyfriend orders. He points at the item we want (chilaquiles). He asked for water , a side of poblano sauce. When the food comes out, after about 10 minutes (so pretty quick), it wasn't chilaquiles but an egg and potato dish. We explain this isn't what we ordered and the bus boy goes to get the women inside whom my boyfriend ordered from. She insists he ordered something different. He said 'I pointed at what I wanted which was the chilaquiles'. The lady agrees (it felt like reluctantly) to have it made with the red sauce it comes with. About 5 minutes later the chilaquiles come out with a green sauce. No water, no side of poblano sauce. I get up and go to ask what happened and the man at the register looked up our order. He Told us we didn't order chilaquiles and became argumentative. At this point I just want the side of sauce and will eat what they gave us because we were hungry and didn't want them to mess it up again. Silverware was also not at the table and had to be asked for. The green sauce is fine but not what is on the menu or what we ordered. The poblano sauce was tasty. The potatoes were mushy. Eggs cooked well but salad wilted. The order also came with an empanada. I got cheese and it was fine. Nothing to go back for. We also ordered a biscoff crepe. I'm sure if you've never had a Parisian crepe you'd think it was good however, the consistency was of it was like a flour tortilla. Not authentic at all. The biscoff sauce made it taste ok. My boyfriend noticed the table next to us also had an incorrect order. So, they lie about the wait times, don't get orders correctly then argue with the customer when you try to get it right, and the food tastes just ok. Is it good for IG, yes. Do you want a quality meal with good service? Don't come here. Perhaps mine was a one off experience but it was highly disappointing. Not worth the hype Also they thought I couldn't speak Spanish and when I went in, I heard them talking about us. Just because I'm white, doesn't mean I don't speak Spanish

Food tested Greta... loved the pancakes and lattes. Just really small and not functional to sit near the entrance. Very disappointing to not be able to order additional drinks form the table. Make sure to order everything at once as then they will make you make line again.

This place is bigger than I thought it would be for a menu that is. I came here after unloading a trailer at an office near where my father works. It is about 2 minutes away. I've never been inside this place before but I have ordered from Uber Eats here to receive their empanadas of which they are know for. It's about $6 each which is quite expensive for empanadas. I don't believe they are worth the hype, but they tasted good nonetheless. Service at the front was not great. The woman didn't seem to bother smiling or cared about customers coming in before closing. We didn't order much and yet after ordering a small portion of food or snacks for such reason, she decided not to smile again. I don't know what her problem was, but it was not pleasant at all. I ordered three empanadas that I haven't tried before, the ground beef, machaca (shredded beef with egg) and a spinache, egg and onion empanadas. The only good one was the ground beef one which was the last one left. I reason most people loved this one since it was almost gone when we were there compared to the other ones shown. Inside is small, great detail to the decoration inside, relaxing and pleasantly peaceful. All of which anyone is up for after work. The menu itself is humongous, unnecessarily huge and not really easy to navigate thru from a customers standpoint. I also ordered two drinks. The first one was a $7 matcha iced with oat milk. It was bitter and had that quality matcha inside. It was not worth $7 but it did taste authentic. The other one was a vanilla ice cream with pistachios with espresso coffee poured on it. It was approaching $10 for that alone, it was oddly sweet and was relatively fresh when I tasted it. Of course a lot of sugar and artificial sweeteners were in it. It wasn't homemade or organic as far as I could tell. I would say, it is just like any other place I've been to in the past. I found it to be okay. It could have been better with the woman smiling, but she didn't at any time. That also goes with the cashier. She wasn't friendly either. She didn't seem to like working there. I've had plenty of experiences like this before, but as a customer, the quality of service is very important! Overall, it was a B+, but too many flaws to be an A. I paid close to $40 with tax and tip for three empanadas that were not big and only one was good, with the two drinks. Both drinks were just average, moreover small for the price and felt it was not worth it.

    Chilaquiles DELUXE ICE COLD! PASS

I was quite curious about Crepissima and gave it a shot with a friend the other day. Boy was it a major disappointment. From service to food, everything was FAR below average. We walked in, and I placed my order at the counter. I tried to speak to the lady at the counter and get a feel for what's good. She suggested the chilaquiles and I was excited for some epic goodies! She was unenthusiastic. I thought it was a singular person issue.. but I was wrong. When another woman brought over our coffees, she too was extremely upset. Moreover, my chilaquiles came out COLD! No joke, I was shocked. Not only was the verde sauce cold but my chips were rock hard! The only edible piece of food was the eggs. Smh at nearly $20+ dollars, you would think the food would be edible, bare minimum. Well here's where it go more interesting. Since I opted to not eat my food I turned to another lady working there to ask for a coffee refill. She snarked at me, took my cup like she was doing me a favor and put it on our table with an eye roll. What in the world?!? I was appalled. I've heard such good things about Crepissima but my honest review is NO THANK YOU. There are plenty of delightful family owned shops that deserve my money then bad food, and terrible service. Horrific! It's a pass Yelpers! Cheers to better eats!

My suegra came back telling us how her niece took her to a really nice spot with amazing chilaquiles. We had seen a video of a crepe place on Instagram so assumed it had to be this place & we're right. What a hidden gem! I had my puppy with me and they were so welcoming in the outdoor seating & even brought my pup a water bowl. The menu has soooo many options. I loved the empanadas, the breakfast was great, cafe de la olla was so yummy but not overly sweet, & the fluffy pancakes were simply epic! Overall the women working were so attentive & super sweet. The details from the mugs to the corny decoration definitely give this place character. We will definitely be back!

We had driven by in hopes to eat here, unfortunately it was just too busy which is understandable because it's fairly new but opted to just get delivery for another day. We did get to try the food this past weekend and it was fantastic! Such a wonderful flavor, not bland at all. Only set back was discovering a few shards of plastic that was towards the end of my meal. It didn't come from the lid as shown in the pic so that's definitely a concerning mystery. Just glad it was me and not one of the kids who came across it. On the fence on whether to give another shot.

Two words: Come hungry! Huge portions of simple, down-home cooking and the most extensive menu I've ever encountered at a single restaurant... If it's your first time, I recommend perusing those pages long before stepping up to the counter to order! Fortunately, you can always ask the friendly staff for their faves. Our party of 2 started with an Iced Horchata Coffee (Iced coffee with horchata cream, cinnamon, milk and horchata foam milk) and an Iced Matcha Latte, followed by Steak & Eggs (Tender arrachera steak with two eggs, crispy home potatoes, and a side green salad) and Omelette Poblano (Three eggs cooked with rajas, corn, onion, and cheddar cheese, then covered in poblano sauce and sprinkled with queso fresco and cilantro), and couldn't resist adding a VHS Crepe (Nutella with either strawberry, banana, or both) to share. It really was a ton of food, and all of it pretty darn good! The kitschy indoor space isn't that big, but there's plenty of umbrella-covered seating outdoors so hopefully you won't have any trouble finding a table.

Still a 5 star eatery. Very friendly family owned restaurant with a lovely dining area inside and outdoor seating as well. Parking lot can be busy as there are a lot of eateries in the same center. We arrived at 11am during the week and it was very busy. By time we received our food the inside and outside were both close to full. Crepissima has been here for 7 years and I am so happy to see them busy. They are known for their empanadas and crepes (savory & sweet), however they have such a large menu filled with breakfast items such as omeletts, pancakes, chilaquiles, benedicts and of course crepes gallore. Then they have an extensive lunch menu as well. We ordered the pancakes for the first time. It was a large stack of thick and fluffy pancakes with fruit. We also ordered the Chilaquiles Maya & Empanada Combo served with a salad and I chose to have beans instead of potatoes and a peach empanada. The salsa maya sauce is delicious. Everything, including the service was wonderful. We will definitely be back and hope you give them a try as well.

Such a cute little restaurant! Very chic and appealing especially to the Gen Z as they have an array of decor that people want to tik tok about and post worthy. We came in a large group and made a reservation, this is a great idea as the restaurant is small and very popular. Group of 10 came in for a birthday celebration and we were all warmly welcomed. Menu was extensive but a couple things that stood out were the sweet crepes, place is known for crepes albeit the name, and the staff were just as excited to host us! Ambiance was Welcoming and inviting, and we couldn't go wrong with anything we picked! Cafe de olla is a plus ! Delicious and served in terracotta mugs just like Mexico. Only downside is that we have to order basically at one register as opposed to waitresses taking your order but nonetheless the whole staff is on it to clean up the place and make sure the next group of people get the same treatment. I enjoyed this place, and of course the company. Mole was fantastic, chilaquiles were also good, steak was a little fatty and eggs were cooked to your liking, best thing overall for me was the coffee and the Nutella crepes. I'd in the area again, I'll re visit!

I love the food here. The poblano omelet is my favorite. Their Maya sauce and mole is also delicious. The staff is super friendly. They're great at making you comfortable. The decoration is adorable. Very picturesque. I wish there was a location closer to Porter Ranch.

I had a great experience at this restaurant! It was my first time trying a crepe breakfast, and I was honestly impressed. The customer service was really good, and the staff was super friendly. My friend recommended this place to me after finding it online, and I'm glad we decided to try it. It's a small restaurant, but the food quality was amazing. I'm a huge fan of breakfast burritos, so when I saw the Big Daddy breakfast crepe on the menu, I had to give it a try. It literally melted in my mouth! I asked if they could make it spicy, and they did exactly what I wanted. They also gave us matcha sauce on the side, which was really good. We both ordered the vanilla coffee milkshake too, and it was delicious. Definitely coming back again!

    Chilaquiles Maya (Plate)

This place is an absolute GEM. They specialize in empanadas and crepes, both sweet and savory, and honestly, everything i tried hit the mark. It's one of those spots where you come in hungry and immediately want to try eveeything on the menu because it all looks delicious! I started with the "Chilaquiles Maya with a empanada of your choice" combo, and WOW wow wowie! This dish alone is reason enough to come back. The chilaquiles were phenomenal, honestly the best I've had. And as a Hispanic girl, I've had soooo many different variations of chilaquiles in my lifetime haha. It packed with flavor without being overly heavy, and the spice was perfect! The sauces were perfectly balanced and soaked into the chips + eggs just right. The combo came with an empanada, seasoned potatoes, and a fresh side salad, which made it feel like a complete, satisfying meal. Loved having a little variety on my plate. The potatoes were well-seasoned and hearty, and the salad added a light, refreshing contrast that rounded everything out nicely. For empanadas, I tried both the Chicharrón de Salsa Verde empanada which is new!!! And the Mole Chicken empanada, and I'm still thinking about them. The chicharrón empanada was yet again, the best I've had of it's kind. Never have I ever seen anywhere have a chicharron as a empanada flavor. So I was pleasantly surprised to have loved this. It's savory, hot, comforting, and full of bold salsa verde flavor. While the mole chicken empanada had that deep, slightly sweet richness that mole lovers appreciate. Both empanadas were perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside. I added their chimichurri to them which brought a fresh, herby brightness that complemented both empanadas sooooooo well. I highly recommend this combo! Dessert was a must, and the Biscoff crepe with fresh banana slices did not disappoint. The crepe itself was thin, soft, and cooked to literal perfection, filled with warm, indulgent Biscoff flavor and fresh banana slices that balanced the sweetness beautifully. It was rich without being overwhelming or too sweet, and easily one of those desserts you think about long after you've left. I seriously could NOT put it down. It was that good! This is also a new menu item, give it a try! You don't regret it. To drink, I had the Mangoneada, a mango-based drink that was refreshing, fruity, and the perfect mix of sweet with just a little kick. It paired surprisingly well with both the savory dishes and the dessert and was the perfect way to cleanse the palate. Now, the food alone would have made this place a winner, but what truly set it apart was the service and atmosphere. The service was absolutely lovely. From the moment I walked in, it genuinely felt like being welcomed into a Mexican family's home. Warm, attentive, and full of care. Nothing felt forced or rushed, instead, it felt personal and comforting, like they truly wanted you to enjoy your time there. The vibe and atmosphere itself were just as special. The seating inside was incredibly comfortable, making it a place you actually want to sit, relax, and enjoy your meal rather than rush through it. Everything about the space felt cozy and inviting, and honestly, it ended up being my favorite part of the experience. It's the kind of place where you could linger, chat, and order food just because you're so comfortable. Overall, this spot absolutely nails flavor, comfort, and hospitality. Whether you're coming for savory empanadas, saucy chilaquiles, sweet crepes, or just a cozy place with amazing vibes, this place delivers on all fronts! I highly recommend stopping by hungry and giving yourself time to enjoy the full experience. Thank you sooo much Crepissima for having me, I'll most definitely be back!

Pepe is right there making sure everyone is well cared for -- I am sure they are, there was exuberant laughter and joy the whole time!

Wow! What a spectacular surprise! Where have I been for the past seven years? Here is a truly outstanding spot for breakfast, lunch, and dinner -- to say nothing of just stopping in for drinks or dessert -- and I had no idea it was here! There is such an array of choices, every one of them exciting and unique, that I don't know how else to summarize the offerings other than to show you the menu (pages and pages) and what we chose. We went Sunday afternoon and the place was crowded, which is a very good sign. Inside it is warm and friendly, with many little details to appreciate on every surface. Our servers, Pablo and Luis were friendly and cheerful as well as efficient. We had studied the menu beforehand, so ordering was easy and it arrived at our table in no time. There was an upbeat and eclectic playlist running the whole time, to entertain us and enhance the fun of being there. It is clean and pretty and cozy -- what more could we ask? The portions are generous and the flavoring is kicked up several notches (nod to Emeril Lagasse), so you don't want to miss even one bite. We rarely finish our meal at a restaurant but literally couldn't stop eating here. So, we order empanadas to take home. The hours are extensive, the parking is ample and easy, and the prices are very reasonable. You can eat inside or on the charming patio. The owner, Pepe, is on the premises constantly and interacts with patrons in such a gracious way that we can be sure attention to quality and details is characteristic of Crepissima. As we left, Alex thanked us for coming -- how nice! The servers are family and friends of the owner. We rang the bell as we left to show how much we enjoyed our experience and will definitely be back, bringing people with us.

Does the empanada pastry include lard? Or is it veggie

I asked the owner, Pepe, and he said they don't use any lard, just oil in their food.

Do you make your own empanadas or do you out source them?

    We make them ourselves.

We ordered an iced orange matcha and an iced white chocolate mocha latte with coconut milk. Both…read moredrinks were tasty! I also ordered a bagel with cream cheese, which they offered to toast for me. The food came out pretty quickly and the person taking my order was pretty patient with me taking my time to look at their menu. The ambiance was nice too - it seems like a cozy enough place for people to hang out and I even saw someone working on their laptop for awhile. I will say the foods looked good but seemed a little pricey for the service size, so I avoided ordering anything else this time. Might check them out in the future.

Finally got to stop by here. I noticed their hours have been inconsistent since I was checking on…read moretheir IG and they would post if they were closed that day or not. Anywho, I came on a Saturday around noon time and it wasn't packed but there were some people inside sitting down. Obviously there's a lot of greenery and feels like a small oasis. If you want to come in to read a book or do work then this would be such an ideal spot especially if you want to feel like you're outside. I decided to get the iced horchata latte with cardamom. Initially I was going to get that with soy milk but came out a little over $10!! lol wow I wasn't going to pay that much for a coffee. Alternative milk is $1 more and to add a spice is $.75 so I decided to stay w the cardamom since I love cardamom and don't come across that spice at coffee shops much but I don't know if their selection of spices is to charge more. I found the shop to be overpriced for an average tasting latte. It wasn't bad but it was also nothing crazily amazing and I've had better and it does not cost $10. The parking is easy since it's at the Simi Town Center which sadly not a lot is opened there and it's pretty dead so you'll find enough parking.

SOOOOO GOOOOD! UNIQUE AND JUST SO YUMMY…read more My husband ordered the vanilla dirty chai latte and I had the blueberry cheesecake latte (half sweet) both were wonderful! The staff here is always polite, helpful. Ambiance is unique as the coffee is made in a train car. But wow, they really care about the menu and the flavor and quality of their drinks. I love supporting Christian businesses, seeing Isaiah 41:10 (10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.) was such a great reminder. If you need a reminder, God is for you! Thanks San Fernando Coffee for having such a great business I just love seeing your new locations pop up as you expand. Praying the Lord blesses each location and the people who walk through your doors as well.

Updating my review because we hired this truck for catering a party. Everyone was doing tacos…read morerecently and although we love tacos, we wanted to do something different. Plus there aren't many taco options for vegetarians. After trying this place at the Encino's Farmers Market, we enquired about catering for my 40th birthday. Price was reasonable and they were available, so we pulled the trigger. Of course, the guest list grew and we had to add more people. Luckily the addition was also reasonable (obviously more than tacos but different and bit more sophisticated). Our party started at 6PM, they arrived at 5:30 and basically just drove their truck into our driveway. They plugged into our outdoor outlet and were ready to rock and roll. Guests started to roll in and just went up to the truck to order. It was easy - no set up, no clean up. Everyone really enjoyed the crepes - we got both savory and sweet. So I personally had a chicken pesto crepe and got a strawberry nutella dessert crepe. Very great experience and appreciate their punctuality, flexibility and yummy crepes!!! They even provided gluten free dough, which was really cool!

I'm always craving crepes and this is the perfect dessert at the Granada Grubfest. They have savory crepes as well but we usually just go for their Nutella with strawberry and banana! Super good and a classic go to. The best part about this truck is that they also serve boba and it's actually good boba! Thai iced tea extra boba with my crepe. Their Facebook page: www.facebook.com/p/AJ-Crepes-100071471193466/…read more As a big fan of crepes, I was happy to see that this independent business was participating in the Holidays in the Village European Market event in Thousand Oaks on 12/7/24. After standing in line and having a rocky experience with the woman taking the orders, my enthusiasm level went down. The gentleman working so hard making the savory and sweet crepes increased my appreciation more. They could definitely have used more help. It appeared to just be the two of them working the event. It likely was busy all day. By 5:30, they were out of a number of the ingredients for various items. What was off-putting was that ingredients that were listed in the menu board they didn't have at all, and the woman managing the orders / payments was tired of explaining what they didn't have. They weren't prepared to add "Sold Out" signs over the items that they couldn't fulfill, which would have saved her some talking. Also, I ordered an item that was listed for $9. She charged me $10. When I pointed out the price on the sign being lower, she said, "Oh, that's an old sign." Well, hello - why did you bring an old sign? Or why didn't you alter the prices before showing up at the event. I almost said, "No thank you and walked away", but I'd been in line for a while just to get up to the place where I could see the menu board. That's just poor business practice to bait and switch your customers, right? I was happy to take my receipt number and move away from the cashier's window as I wasn't feeling the love from interacting with that lady. After waiting in the pick up area for a time, in due course, our number was about to be called. While hanging out I was able to observe the gentleman hustling and cranking out savory and sweet crepes as fast as he could. He could certainly have used more help. He was certainly a pro at making the crepes, so kudos there! I get that this was a well-attended event and that they'd been busy likely most of the day. It brought down the experience that they didn't seem very well prepared. They ran out of plates, so they served the crepes folded in to paper cups, similar to flattened snow cone cups. That worked out okay. The banana nutty crepe was okay with its interior of fresh bananas, nuts (pecans, maybe?), and caramel drizzle. Could have used more of the caramel, especially since I asked them to leave off the whipped cream. The experience wasn't the most memorable, but I would give them a try again under different circumstances.

I ordered a pink lemonade, Caesar chicken crepe and the artichoke crepe. The lemonade was room temperature without ice. After waiting 20 minutes, I asked where was my order.
