Instead of being met with professionalism or even basic empathy, the owner decided to accuse my mother of being "rude to the staff." Imagine calling a grieving daughter to scold her while she's trying to arrange cremation services. Completely unnecessary, inappropriate, and honestly disgusting behavior for someone in this line of work. The owner was cold, passive-aggressive, defensive, and seemed more focused on being offended than being helpful. This business does not treat grieving families with care -- they treat them like an inconvenience. To make it even worse, my grandmother's remains were returned to us in a plain box, not an urn. No dignity, no sensitivity, no effort -- just a box. And if you think this is a one-time issue, take one look at the owner's responses to Yelp reviews. She consistently responds to honest feedback by personally attacking customers instead of taking accountability. She has absolutely no right to insult or make assumptions about people she doesn't even know. She has no idea who we are, what our family dynamic is, what our grieving process looked like, or what we were dealing with -- yet she speaks as if she does. That alone tells you everything you need to know about her professionalism. If you can't handle death services with compassion, maturity, and respect, you are in the wrong profession. I genuinely hope more families speak up and report this business, because no one deserves to be treated this way while mourning a loved one. Save yourself the stress and choose literally anywhere else.

Chrissy and her team were very kind and considerate when it came to caring for my decease friend who passed away unexpectedly in Sept. with no family to take care of his remains, or after life care. I am a long time family friend and after waiting 2 months (for family to step up) Chrissy helped ME navigate the end of life paperwork and cremation of my friend. He was a military service man so she arranged their "Simplicity cremation" service and we will intern him in the military cemetery in Igo with his military comrades who went before him Again, meer words can-not express my gratitude to Chrissy especially. She was understanding and went above and beyond even helping with his obituary. This was a difficult 2 months loosing my dear friend and but Alan and Dahl and especially Chrissy made it easier and seamless... God bless you all.. Michele

This review is for the florist that resides inside McDonald Chapel. It is called Blumen-Luneas…read more I was looking for a florist in the Redding Californja are for sympathy flowers. I found Blumen-Luneas on a google search. The website linked me to blumenluneas.com I was able to browse a beautiful selection in the photo gallery. Not only were the arrangements beautiful, so were the prices. The website was very easy to navigate. I filled out a short questionnaire of what I wanted at 9:30am asking for flowers to be delivered anytime after 12 noon. The arrangement I picked out only consisted of blue n white flowers I asked if he could out some yellow into it. I got a phone call from Michael ( the florist) to confirm my order and discus what my needs were. Michael was very helpful, nice and personable. He listened to what I wanted for my budget. He even delivered it to the home himself. It was a beautiful arrangement , definitely exceeded my expectation for the price I paid. I will definitely use his services for all of my future needs and reccomend him to friends.

As I was sitting and looking out the large windows, I noticed the Funeral Director drive up and parked. As he was walking up to enter the building, I watched him take his last inhale of the cigarette and threw it to the ground. He then walked in, and a huge wave of smoke followed him which I felt was very unprofessional. He didn't wash his hands before shaking mine. I was not impressed by the appearance of the staff at all. I felt as if Ryan threw on clothes that may have been laying on his floor. The front desk lady, who seemed annoyed, and if you asked her a question , You felt as if you were putting her out. I dont want to confuse compassion with fake empathy, but thats exactly how it felt. They didn't seem very heart felt but well rehearsal. As we went out to the grounds, I was surprised to see how the grounds were uncared for. It does not seem like they take to much pride in keeping the grounds looking well groomed. Overall, Im not at all impressed with this location. It seems as if the owner might want to consider cleaning house before the house continues to fail. When people experience loss, they need people who wear their heart on their sleeves and actually have genuine compassion for families. There's no room for fake empathy. I would never recommend McDonalds. These employees are the face of McDonald's and they should all do better.

After everything was signed and paid for they were just waiting for the release of his remains to proceed with cremation. The day they called and let me know they had received his remains I went down and dropped off his urn. While there I asked if I could say goodbye to my husband. I was told no because he couldn't be made presentable. They could have covered him with a sheet and let me say goodbye but I was denied those rights so I will never get the closure I needed. After I had left I called again to double check because I was shocked they wouldn't let me see my own husband. They told me again it wasnt possible. 2 weeks almost pass and I still had not heard from them so I call. He had been cremated and I never received a call to pick him up because they said they were waiting on his urn. His urn had been with them almost 2 weeks at this time. I told them that and they then confirmed and said he would be ready that day. I went down that afternoon and he still was not ready to be picked up anx they had me wait in the lobby while they transferred his remains. As someone who lost their husbands in a tragic way this is the last thing you want to deal with. The unprofessionalism and the lack of compassion these people have is beyond me. They wouldn't even let me have the shirt he was wearing because " the condition " it was in. I was there and im well aware of the condition it was in. That should be my choice whether I want it or not. Regardless it was the last shirt my husband wore. If you can, go somewhere else.
