There's a weight limit of 300lb per car and if you want to ride with someone they have you and that person stand on a weight to see if you can or not. They don't want you flying off the mountain after all. Hubby and I had to ride separately (oh noes!) but it was fine. You have control over how fast you go so you can slow down on curves if you choose to. I slowed down on a quite a few (and hubby said he did, too). I would totally ride it again. It was so much fun.

This is not a ride for the weak unless you break it a lot with the pull up handles. You are striped tight into the seat. It goes fast and it Is over in about 2 to 3 minutes. YOU control the speed. The faster you chose you go the more g-forces you will feel. It does Not go upside down but just takes a lot of sharp turns which give the g-force feeling of about 4 G's. This ride is extremely safe. It has a lot of automated safety features such as automatic breaking if you get closer than 180 feet to the car in front of you. In the unlikely event the seat belt came loose it will automatically stop as well. So you are not going to be able to do something unsafe or stupid on this ride. There are cameras that monitors the riders as well as workers posted in look-out booths along the route. I would do this ride and not the "sled ride" that had the concrete pad. This ride is very smooth. I rode it full speed with my braking handles fully released so that it would roll as fast as possible and it was so much fun.

Playing during the day gave us a chance to really take in all the quirky Appalachian details and mountain setting, while returning after dark gave the experience a completely different atmosphere. It almost felt like getting two attractions in one. The courses are fun without taking themselves too seriously, and there are plenty of wonderfully unusual details along the way. It's the kind of attraction that reminds me why I enjoy traveling--sometimes the places that make you laugh and say, "We have to do that again!" become some of the best memories of the trip. If you're visiting Gatlinburg, put Hillbilly Golf on your list. And if you have the time, play both courses--one during the day and one at night!

I booked the private lessons for my little ones and hubby, they all learned so much and got very comfortable after 1 hour lesson, great techniques. I love that the ski resort is smaller than all the other ones, family friendly with 2 different bunny slopes, great for kids to practice as first timer. Ski rental was efficient and we got our gears quickly. I recommend to buy the tickets and reserve the lessons online so you don't need to wait there. Overall, wonderful, fun experience despite the weather was rainy and foggy. We made the best out of our time at the resort. Highly recommended!

We took our toddler today for the first time and she absolutely loved it. Making a reservation online was simple and easy. It wasn't too crowded and we went at least 10 times in an hour- as many times as we could make it back up the magic carpet. There are restrooms on site, a little shack serving hot cocoa and doling out marshmallows to roast once you're done tubing. The slope isn't too steep, but it's a fun activity for anyone (especially these Floridians).

Around holidays things can get a little hectic, especially with the rental lines, but that's to be expected at a smaller ski area. The staff has always been friendly and helpful, and overall it's a great little day hill to get our skiing fix in between trips out west. The elevation gain is decent. We went clockwise so the major views are in the 2nd half of the hike. It had been cold the day we went so there were a ton of icicles on the right side hanging off of the ledges that our kids went and picked. That made for some fun! The views are all on your left and are breath taking. The first few did not have railings but dropped down to a smaller ledge not far below. The later ones had railings, which weren't the most reassuring, but those drops were huge and sheer. I loved that it was one view point after another for about 10 minutes of the hike. Take a picture of the rock with the elevation inscribed on it (4930ft.). We felt safe the whole time.

When you reach the top the left side is the "easier" side up to the top and the right side is more stone stairs that is a shorter distance, but tougher climb. We took the left side going up and down. There are large rock areas along the way, which might make it difficult if you have mobility problems. Otherwise, it was a bit wet on the path in places, but it had rained a good bit of the day before. The whole path is a light incline the entire way up, but an easy decline on the way down. There are no sitting areas along the path when you reached the top there are two overlooked areas. The better view is the one all the way to the right there is a sign, noting the continental divide on either side of White side Mountain very cool. It was definitely worth the hike. It took us about 30 minutes to get to the top. I saw people with dogs and children a lot. It is a very family friendly activity.

At the top of the little hill is the pool, laundry room and an open social area. They have ping pong, games and places to sit. We already plan to come back for Thanksgiving! I am very excited to spend the holiday at the beautiful KOA at Travelers Rest.
