When we arrived, which was later than expected because we were from out of town, wanted to try a closer boarding facility to where we were traveling, and my work didn't allow me to drive up early enough the night before to make the required drop off time - which is not flexible even though they have 24 hour staff, so I was charged $135 for a night my dog didn't stay - my dogs room reeked of pee and was filthy. We had a trip planned so we had no option but to leave our dog there and hope they would clean the room for him. I felt awful and unsettled as we left. While on our trip, we had a family emergency that required us to cancel a night early and head back to where we live. I expressed this to the front desk, who said because I couldn't get my dog by 4:00 PM (or 4:30 PM - something insanely early) I would be charged a $125 fee for picking up "after hours" - this was not communicated to me previously, and I was told by multiple staff pick up by 6:45 would be fine to not incur a fee. Keep in mind - they have 24 hour staff - so I don't know why I would even need to be charged a fee for getting my dog early when there is staff there that can check us out. I was also charged another $135 for the night my dog did not stay. We had no options, so for 3 days and 3 nights, I paid over $1,000 for my dog's stay. Our dog was also supposed to be groomed on his last day, but was groomed a day early. We gave very specific instructions that he needed prescription shampoo used - which we provided - and they ignored that completely which led to my dog now having hotspots we have had to deal with since returning home (and dealing with our family emergency). The front desk staff was so sweet, and lamented and agreed with my outrageous bill, and stated that "they even charge me to board my dog here and I work here." Yikes. After communicating my disappointment with all that had transpired, I got a $30 credit to my bill for the dirty and pee-filled room, and a $110 refund for messing up the shampoo. That is it. $140 back on an over $1,000 bill. Yes -- many of these issues were in the fine print of the agreements you sign to board your dog - so there is little I can do about it, but I feel it is important others know about these fees and charges. I board my dog at very reputable pet resorts where we live (Pittsburgh, PA) and nothing has ever been this expensive, nor have the staff ever been this difficult or not accommodating. Please do not board your Pets here!!! was routinely using their services because my dog seemed excited to go back and seemed happy when we picked him up but we've had some sort of issue every time. Most recently we were texted photos of our dog bleeding and told to pick him up and take him to the vet, they said they didn't know what happened or when, but they noticed "a little bit of blood". I got there about an hour later (the fastest I could get there) and they did nothing to stop the bleeding, they moved him to a different enclosure and I could see that both enclosures were covered in bloody paw prints. They said they assumed he cut his paw on the chain link fence, and said that if we want to prevent him from getting cut in the future we could "upgrade" him to a smaller room with a glass door. A total extortion, your dog is at risk here of intentional neglect so they can up charge you to the next room. We took our dog to the vet to get his paws fixed and they found out he was bleeding from 5 different cuts on his front paws!!! Not just a one time cut, multiple, deep cuts in different directions. I called to tell creature comforts this the next morning and ask they check the enclosure my dog was in for anything sharp before allowing another dog in there, because obviously all of these cuts didn't come from a standard gate. I was not asking for anything from them, just trying to protect another dog from needing stitches and sedation. And I was met with the most hostile employee "Dave". What a horrendous person, no compassion, told me it was my fault it happened and that I should have upgraded my dog (who had been in this same enclosure without needing stitches 6 times before) to a nicer room, and that this was a standard issue for dogs to intentionally hurt themselves. So unless you want to pick up your dog bleeding and be told it's your fault, don't board your dog here. Truly terrible response to this situation. Predatory practices, and that they let my baby bleed for an hour without trying to staunch the blood is crazy. I plan on reporting them for animal neglect. read more

I would not recommend boarding your pet here. I recently left my dog there for two days; I had originally reserved three, but plans changed due to a snow storm. Since they don't open until 12 noon on Sunday, they charge you for a full extra day. I was told by staff that this is because they are understaffed and can't open until noon on Sunday. I complained and a general manager called me and I told her that no one ever explained to me that I would be charged an additional $62 for nothing, since I picked my dog up at 12:03 pm on Sunday. It was then followed up with a lengthy email laying out for me why they would not be giving me a refund or credit. Additionally, the Tonawanda location is the former Town Animal Shelter. If you tour the facility it still looks like an animal shelter with a nice paint job. While it IS clean, my dog came back traumatized from being there. The staff is mostly nice, but...they even charge you 10 cents for a plastic lunch bag if you don't separate your dog's food by meals. ZERO SCORE-DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS HERE! My daughter who is 19 booked a two day boarding Fri-Sun. She called Thursday to request a change to daycare. She was told she will lose her $50 deposit and cant tranfer it. I called back 15 minutes later and said we will keep the two day boarding. I was told she lost the deposit due to cancellation! It was 15 minutes!!! They called the owner and then told me they would honor the original booking and remove the cancellation fee. She was heading to pick him up at 11:30 am but noticed they were closed until noon. When she arrived at 12:20 pm they charged her another day because she came back after noon- but they were CLOSED! And after reviewing the bill they still charged the $50 boarding cancellation fee even though I was told they wouldnt. This was a scam to auto charge another day ($62) on a Sunday for 20 minutes. They should give customers at least until 1:00 on Sunday. When I called, the person at Creature Comforts said a smart ass response, that it was cheaper than an early Sunday pick up which was $200!! THE SUNDAY PICKUP IS A SCAM! She also said I should appreciate the owner giving us the credit for the deposit but they charged my daughter a $50 cancellation fee! for $15. I'm not 100% sure she understands. If you bill her $50 for a cancellation fee that was not supposed to be charged and it wasn't removed then you lied to get us to keep the booking! Not to mention your attitude and how you talked down to me was completely unprofessional. In the end my daughter paid another $62 for a third day when it wasnt even 48 hours! Its a scam. FInd a place that is honest and up front about billing and that cares about your business. All they care about is money. My daughter was never told if you pick up on Sunday you are automatically billed an extra day. And they never removed the $50 cancellation! We didnt cancel he was there!!! I have been in retail a long time and overcharging people is bad business not to mention how you talk to your customers is vital toward building and keeping your business. I can't say enough about creature comforts in Angola .I have two large dogs that I rescued years ago from abuse at times they can be very fearful creature comforts goes out of their way to make sure my dogs are safe and secure . I rarely went on vacations because I had no place to board my dogs that I felt confident in ,well now I have found the best place ,my dogs have been there several times and when I'm dropping them off to be boarded they don't hesitate to go in the building and the staff is right at the door to greet them. Hello everyone, Please do not send your dog to the Angola facility. Worst experience. Horrible. Can't see your file to see what was done to your pets while staying there. Rude management staff when I wanted to see the file. I was told that I was not able to see my file that I paid for. That isn't their policy. WebCam the staff didn't know how to help with that. We were told to drive down the road since they have poor internet connection. What is that? I had blankets for each of dogs, they were not given to me when picked up I have to call and drive down to get them What is that? Also I was told that all of the stuff you brought with them was cataloged and photograph. I was told they reason why is that they only have black and white pictures and that IT hasn't responded to their requests for color photos. When we received the WebCam I never saw once that they were out of the suite. I paid for (2) one on ones per day. And we checks at least 15 times a day and never saw them out of the suite. What are they hiding that you can't see the file. Also bags of food were not correctly fed to them. Please make sure not to send your dog there. Please tell your family friends everyone that you know. Please look at the reviews Only (2) for this year and one of them stated that their dog died. Only one review for 2022 then nothing since 2016. I don't know who rates boarding facilities but they must be blind. If there was 0 rating that is what I would give them as unacceptable. Owners should be ashamed. read more

If I could give this place ZERO stars I would. Do yourself a favor and go someplace else to save yourself money and frustration due to poor management. I have been a loyal customer for 2-1/2 years. I have used their daycare weekly, boarding and grooming services and purchased items from their boutique store items. On more than one occasion my fur baby has come home sick. I tried to be understanding knowing that just like people, animals can catch a cold or virus. Of course when my dog got sick twice after daycare - once with kennel cough even though she had the Bordetella shot and second time "dog pink eye" it meant a trip to the vet, ,an extra expense. It occurred to me after the 2nd time that this place was not as clean and well run as I originally thought. Recently I had 8 nights of boarding booked. I was headed out on a very long awaited and planned cruise vacation. Unfortunately, Hurricane Dorian and Jetblue had other plans. Jetblue's plane was broke down when I arrived at Buffalo Airport at 4:00 AM for a 6:00 AM flight. There were no other available options to get to my destination. The cruise left port early due to the hurricane to make matters worse. I was unable to take my flight or my cruise. Thankfully the airline and the cruise company refunded my money and Jetblue wrote me a letter before I left the airport to use in case there were other unexpected costs that needed to be refunded due to the hurricane. I was extremely disappointed to miss out on my vacation. After spending 8 hours at the airport only to have everything canceled, I sadly called Creature Comfort and explained my situation and that I was coming to pick up my fur baby after only 1 night boarding, the desk clerk advised me that Creature Comfort would still charge for 10 days boarding since it was Labor day week even though she was only booked for 8 nights! The clerk told me since I had to pay I should leave my dog at boarding and enjoy myself at home alone!!! I love my dog and would never enjoy myself at home without her. I told her I was coming to get my dog. When I arrived to pick her up, the clerk advised that after some back and forth conversation with the owner, they agreed to only charge me for 5 night of boarding that I had no desire or intention to use. As a business owner myself for the past 25 years I understand the importance of company policy. I also understand there is a time to listen to my loyal customers need especially when there are unfortunate circumstances. Af if missing my vacation wasn't disappointing enough I still got stuck paying for 4 extra nights of dog boarding I was not going to use. After being a loyal customer with weekly visits for 2.5 years I will never go back. I had a letter from the airlines and a business relationship that one would think an exception could be made. I will find a new place, one that hopefully my dog will not come home sick from, save myself extra trips to the vet and owners who obviously put greed over loyal customers and their pets. read more

Left my pug here with my brothers frenchton on a trip down to Arlington to bury my father very nice lady checked us in and gave us all the info for the schedule pee breaks asked if we needed any more services and we did not The room was pretty cheap for 5 days it was like $260 for both dogs we supplied the food and toys/ blankets but they loved it and were really well taken care of I will be using this service for as long as I am in the Wny area read more

Recently left our two dogs here for 10 days and I have to say I am SO glad we did. Our one dog is very easy going and we weren't worried, but our other dog who is 10 has a lot of anxiety issues and can be aggressive. So we did not feel ok just leaving him with anyone. From the first day we called them to set up the time they were extremely helpful and encouraging that they could handle him. They had us do a meet up and tour of the facility first which went well. Then they suggested we do a trial night, and i am so thankful we did. We all had a lot of anxiety not knowing what he was going to do, and getting to do that night made us all feel ok that not only could the dogs handle it, but that the staff was super professional. So we left them for 10 days and having the webcam was such a nice part of it. Every time we felt guilty we would just look at the camera and feel better. They were also really nice about us calling and giving us updates. Picked the dogs up and they did great! The entire staff were all so good with him, and now I think he misses all the extra attention! Plus the free bath we got at the end was great, neither dog has ever smelled so good. I know this is a little pricey but it was worth every dollar we spent to know our family members were well taken care of. Now that we know we can go we are already planning another trip! Emily and her friendly staff add the crowning touch to this full-service boarding kennel/day care/grooming and training center. The private suites for pets are terrific - you can see them right off the bright, clean lobby. I have entrusted them with my grandpup since he was a few weeks old, both overnight (in regular boarding kennel) and as a treat for both of us in daycare. He gets excited as soon as we turn into the driveway of "Emily's house". The facility is large, clean and bright, with good security and supervision of animal guests. Great place to take your dog while you are away! I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the place, which is extremely noticeable as soon as you walk in the door! The staff is very positive, capable, energetic and pet-loving! The owner is very understanding and knowledgeable about dogs.
