The Kim's van picks up the kids from school and get them to Kim's pretty quickly. They have a room off the main mats that has a number of long tables with chairs all around. The kids can play quietly in the room or do their homework. My son has a good time and came home asking to learn checkers and chess because some of the kids were playing. The kids also have a Tae Kwon Do class each afternoon, and my son enjoys it a lot. What is really great is how enthusiastic the instructors are and how well they get all of the kids to listen. My son, who was already very polite, starting saying "yes sir" and "no sir" regularly after attending. They also give them weekly "star charts", which have a number of activities (doing homework, doing chores, respecting and being kind to family members, etc.), with students earning a lot of stars being recognized each month. All in all, not only does it offer a great option for an after-school program, but the kids enjoy it and the instructors emphasize both learning Tae Kwon Do and being respectful, quality little human beings.

The only thing my child didn't like was the bus ride each day to & from our local YMCA, since I think it was about 30-40 minutes. They did not call to notify us she was injured. Instead she sat in pain until normal pick up time for us to get her. At pick up they placed her in the car and buckled her so I could not see her arm, but they assured me it was just a bump, "it's not broken or anything." When I got her out of the car her arm was obviously misshapen and I knew right away it was broken. We emailed the director several times asking only that they provide better training to their staff. None of our emails were answered. I would not trust these people with children's safety.

The workout floor is amply stocked with machines and free weights, there are even sanitization wipe stations scattered throughout the floor to wipe down equipment after use. There are small combination lockers to store your keys, wallet, etc. while you workout, too. If you like this sort of thing, there are a variety of channels on simultaneously across several wall-mounted TVs and the tuned channels are labeled under the TV itself. You can use headphones (wired or wireless I believe) to tune to your preferred channel. I prefer to listen to music on my phone during a workout instead. The rest of the facilities are great, too! Small rooms for classes, childcare facility (hours vary, check the website), pool, chill zone (hangout place with air hockey, fooseball or table tennis, and video games), and when it's warm out, a mini water park outside! The locker rooms are large and have swimsuit spinners to de-wet them quickly. I love having an affordable membership here (for the whole family!) and love bringing my daughter to practice volleyball and basketball in the gym during open gym time.

Several of us have written comments, given suggestions and brought this to the management's attention for over a year but they don't seem to care.
