This was my very first experience with painting and Painting with a Twist made sure that it was…read morememorable and fun! A group of us ladies grabbed wine bottles and snacks and headed out on our venture. The location is in a strip mall (newer) and was very clean and relatively big. We were greeted at the door by Denise, the owner, and checked in. Each person receives a punch card and you get a free class after the 10th class, which is pretty cool. Our instructor was laid back and very informative. I haven't painted since grade school, so that should tell you my experience! She told me that I have great technique so I wuv her. I'm sorry, I forgot her name!! Blame it on the wine. Painting with a Twist has a monthly calendar and you can attend a session after reserving a spot OR you can get at least 8 participants together and schedule a private party and you get to pick the painting that everyone with be doing together. You start with a blank piece of canvas and the instructor walks you through each step, telling you which brush to use and how to mix colors, make things brighter or darker, etc. She also walks around and gives you pointers or praise. The cost is $35 for a 2 hour class or $45 for a 3 hour class. The whole thing was so casual and comfortable. I was really hesitant to go because I do NOT have an artistic bone in my body, but after just a few minutes I felt right at home. They offer classes for kids, too. You just need to go to their website and check out the calendar. I neglected to take a picture of my painting, so I am going to have to come back and post that pic, but I did take a picture off of their site of the painting that we were doing so that people can see the finished product. Of course, my picture did not look this great, but it was fun and I am proud of it anyway!! Oh and I can't forget Odie..he is the owner's German Shepherd and was a doll! He isn't very good at sneaking food, though. I would try to casually "drop" sausage or cheese and he made it so obvious...ugh! Sorry, Denise, I couldn't help it. He was too cute!! All in all, I highly recommend this to anybody! It was such a nice change of pace and I believe I will make sure to do this at least once a month!

Lenny chatted with us and made pleasant small talk as we painted away. Lenny is a highschool art teacher I believe, so he was very encouraging. Even though I though my painting looked like boo boo, he assured me that it was fine. I'm not an artist or painter by anymeans. I have NEVER done a serious painting in my life. But if I can do it, so can you. For $35, I can't complain. Will be back in a couple weeks to paint another! ALSO, its BYOB. Cups are provided.

Over the years I have politely avoided her whenever possible. I even know of 2 different families that quit this place because of her ridiculous behavior. Just as my little one was finishing up the last of her lessons she had to exit the pool due to an accident by another child in the water. Gross but understandable. What is not understandable is what happened after. My daughter was having a private lesson that I had cashed in 4 of her already paid for makeup lessons. She got about 6 mins of the 1/2 hr lesson. I asked that they re-issue these makeups (since this wasn't our fault). I'm told that's not their policy. Then ok but I would then have to pay the new monthly fee for using my makeups since her enrollment was expiring and we were going to be traveling. You closed the pool during her lesson. Im not saying it's your fault, but it certainly isn't mine. I those were 4 paid for lessons. Swim isn't cheap. I have given this company thousandths of dollars over the years. Why would you make such a big deal out of this? The girls at the front desk and the asst manager all understood my point of view and were super nice as always. The manager however calls me and precede to talk down to me like I am an idiot. Please note this isn't the 1st time she's done this to me. I just took it with a grain of salt the first few times because I've heard her do this to multiple people while there. I'm explaining to her what happened because she had her facts all wrong and she begins yelling at me telling me that "I" have an attitude. What?? The audio was coming in through the car and my husband and I just looked at each other like what on earth? I couldn't get a word in edgewise from that point on and actually asked to speak to Pam (since she's sane and calmer) which only irritated her more. The level of unprofessionalism is off the charts with this woman. She needs therapy, not a job in charge of children. I will never come back nor recommend this place. Such a shame.

After a difficult experience with a previous daycare, I was understandably anxious about making another change. But this transition has exceeded all expectations. The care, structure, and genuine love the staff shows every day have made such a difference, not only for our son, but for our whole family. If I could give 100 stars, I would. We have experienced nothing but love from all caregivers, including Kim and the substitutes. The passion for early development is alive and well at this school. They care about who each child is and do everything they can to meet them where they are on a daily basis. The peace of mind we have every day when we drop our child off is invaluable. If you want your child to grow up exposed to diversity, independence, responsibility and community, these people have done just that for us so far! They are professionals in a field I believe is severely undervalued.

I was impressed that a group of kids ages 7 - 8 were able to play instruments after a week and put on a show on the last day. In this particular group, most of the kids had no prior experience, but they learned and performed and had a great time. They learned songs ranging from "Louie Louie" by the Kingsman, "Tainted Love" by Soft Cell, and "TNT" by AC/DC. Was I glad I wore earplugs? Yes. Would I sign my kid up again? Absolutely.
