Coming back to dance felt intimidating, but last year I found Uno's Dance on Yelp and decided to give it a try. I was nervous returning to dance, but I'm so glad I did. I was specifically looking for open-level adult classes and thought it would be fun to try a K-pop class. From the very first class, I realized this isn't just a typical dance studio--it truly feels like a community. Uno teaches full dance covers of entire songs, incorporates formations, and even films the dances in costume, which makes the experience feel complete and rewarding. There are also opportunities to perform throughout the year, which is a huge plus if you enjoy performing or want something to work toward. The environment is welcoming, supportive, and full of positive energy. I genuinely look forward to every class, and dancing consistently has also helped me with my fitness and confidence. Uno has been a big inspiration in helping me rediscover my love for dance, and I'm grateful for the friendships and experiences I've gained here. I highly recommend this studio to anyone looking for a fun, encouraging place to dance and grow.

I feel so blessed to have such an instructor who always motivates and takes personal interest towards the fitness for each individual in the class. I love the Killer body class wherein it is the whole body workout. Fun part is that it is not only workout but she also adds little dance movements like salsa, K-pop, shuffle dance for 10-15 mins along with the signature steps of the popular songs. I'm so happy to be a part of this fitness center where I made genuine friends and my teacher is so much dedicated and passionate that there was no day when the Studio was closed or the teacher was absent in this entire past 2 years. She is really a great guide and highly inspirational. Love you Uno :).

Not only is the art deco decor completely gorgeous, every detail of the studio is thoughtfully curated with the students' comfort in mind--smooth wood floors, plush couches, floor-to-ceiling mirrors, lots of natural light. It's a dance haven! The class schedule is robust: Cha Cha, Rumba, Swing, Salsa, Hustle, Burlesque. There's something for everyone (and everything for me; I take all the classes, haha). There's even a dance fitness class which is like an aerobics class with ballroom-style combos that change with each song, and a stretch and tone class that is similar to yoga or Pilates. Every class complements the others and in taking the variety I have seen my strength, posture, flexibility, and confidence improve dramatically over time. I love to take lessons to prepare for shows and competitions, but you can take lessons casually as well. The studio offers opportunities for performance if you want them, but the classes are also fun to take for exercise, relaxation, or socialization on their own. Dancing with Aaron and David has changed my life for the better and I am certain it will have the same effect on you. Hope to see you in class soon!

PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING !!!!!…read more We were planning to have our wedding reception at this location. This has been in the works for about a year. Khloe was the lady who had started the process for us and was very nice & helpful. She would always answer our calls whenever we had any questions regarding what we could and what we couldnt have at the venue. Somewhere along the way it was switched over to another person named Alo. And THIS is where everything went down hill. Everything that we had already signed and discussed prior to this switch was never forwarded to her. This lady would never answer her phone when we needed her for answers to questions that were being asked to us. So 2 weeks prior to the wedding we trying to contact her and her communication with us was non existent. Our vendors had questions and when we were trying to get answers she would never respond back. But when it came to MONEY and making sure we pay she was always calling. Our wedding day came 9/27/25 and it was a complete disaster at our reception. She was never on sight. And when she did finally show up after blowing her phone 10 times she didnt know where the DJ could plug into their system, she didnt know she had to be there to control the lighting for our first dance, garter dance ect. which is what i signed for, there was no SECURITY present which is what I signed for. So it was all bad. The communication with this place is no good they take forever to respond back but when it comes to your money best believe you'll be hearing from them. This left a real sour taste in our mouths because we were really looking foward to it. We decided to have our reception here because it gave us Vegas club vibes with the loud speakers and lighting. It had everything that we needed and wanted. But when it came to our first dance ect. I was the one turning the lights off. We had white lights flashing all night instead of colorful lighting for the dance floor really ridiculous and her response was " im not a light technician " but yet she carrys a ipad to control lighting very snotty lady. What a let down.

Strong Dance is located in a strip mall on Walker Street in Cypress. There's plenty of free lot parking nearby. When you walk in, you'll most likely be greeted by a friendly person at the desk just to the left. The studio itself is deceivingly large. There are a few dance rooms and TONS of sitting room for parents and siblings. It's clean. And tastefully decorated with large framed black and white photos of their students with their dance biographies. Our daughter brought her own jazz shoes, but the studio also had some available for the girls to borrow. Ms. Esther was our troop's patient and enthusiastic instructor. All the girls seemed to enjoy her style of teaching. If we didn't live quite so far away, this would be a spectacular place for our daughters to learn and grow!

Two years ago I wrote a review about how true this studio was to its motto - Building Confident…read moreKids. Now, I think the owner Rachel should consider changing it to "Building Confident Kids, and then Breaking them Down." Last season, after being at the studio for four years, my 12-year-old daughter was frustrated in class because she felt like she wasn't improving like she wanted to. She thought it was because there were too many girls being promoted before they were ready. I heard this same complaint from other parents. The teachers were great, but the over-promotion lowered the quality of the classes. I grew to believe that the focus at the studio was on the younger dancers, and that the promotion helped them feel motivated to stick with dance. While I wasn't happy about how this younger-child focus served my older child, I respected that it was the owner's choice to make with her business. I sat down with the owner Rachel, who I considered a friend, to discuss my daughter's frustration. She said she could relate, and that when she hit that point at her own studio as a kid, she started taking a few classes at other studios. She said my daughter might consider that soon. It was an unusual suggestion, although I told her I appreciated her giving her blessing. I appreciated that she was willing to acknowledge the limitations of her studio, and willing to suggest a solution that would allow my daughter to transition to the next level with dignity. At the beginning of this season, my daughter said she did want to try one class at another studio. Since I already had Rachel's blessing to try a class at another studio (which I didn't technically need since there was no policy against it), I let her know via email that we were doing this, but that we were still planning on staying at her studio. About two months later, I received a surprising and carefully worded email from Rachel. She was "disenrolling" my daughter, effective that day, for trying a class elsewhere. After 4 1/2 years at the studio, without any problems leading up to that, she was kicked out without discussion. For 4 1/2 years, my daughter strived to be a role model at the studio, with Rachel often requesting her to apprentice the classes she taught. I paid by auto pay or prepay consistently, volunteered backstage, and was supportive of the environment she claimed she wanted to create. It was a shock to our family, and to many others at the studio. But, I'd been warned by multiple parents that Rachel held grudges against dancers who tried classes at other studios. On the one hand, I regretted not listening to the advice to keep it a secret. The silver lining, though, is that I am no longer lining the pockets of a woman who would treat a reliable client this way - let alone a child! I give one extra star because the teachers were very good.
