The downside was the seagulls, the crew member who sells soda and chips feeds them chips and they are EVERYWHERE. It was distracting and excessive how many birds swarmed the boat for the first half of the trip. My opinion of the best place to sit is the top floor, starboard side. It will be rocky up there but you can easily shift to the other side of the boats if needed. Also bring a jacket! At least in January. Sadly there are multiple signs that say the crew work for tips insinuating that they are otherwise unpaid. I truly hope that is not the case.

This was our introduction to the water sport of Jet Surfing. We had a blast after some great instruction from Tyler. We also used the tubes/float assist to help us stand up to make things extra enjoyable. The Jet Surf boards themselves are really neat and I'm sure this sport will be even more popular in the next few years. If you're considering this experience, give it a try because I was skeptical but enjoyed it more that I thought. We will be back next time we're in Destin!
