More than four years later, both of our children are now part of the program (Preschool and Infant/Toddler) and love it there! One of the crucial elements we sought when reviewing childcare options was safety - and I appreciate the care and attention implemented to make sure all students are well protected at all times. Our children feel loved for and cared for by the amazing staff! Their school readiness curriculum is wonderful, taking the time to teach students the essential skills to prepare them for Kindergarten - and beyond. Hands-on programs, engaging activities and events bring their curriculum to life - and we look forward to hearing about everything our children did each day! Highly recommend HB!

They taught her how to communicate when she was very young with sign language and now, she is blossoming with her language skills. She was required to wear a helmet at school and was in physical therapy prior to starting Honey Bear. After much collaboration with her physical therapist and teaching staff, Infant and Toddler teachers adapted to her needs and helped her graduate from the helmet and physical therapy. As a staff member who works at Honey Bear, I have not only seen my child grow, but I have seen many other children grow through the love and compassion of qualified teachers and staff, who make us feel like a family.

Good evening, I am writing as a deeply angry and disgusted…read moreparent. Today, when I picked up my son Leonardo, I was informed he had SLEPT ON THE COLD TILE FLOOR because he was "hot." That explanation alone is UNACCEPTABLE, but it gets worse. He was WET when I picked him up this afternoon--his hair, his pants, his coat--completely soaked. And when I asked why, not a single staff member could give me an answer. "I don't know" is NOT an acceptable response when a child is returned to their parent in that condition. The lack of accountability, the carelessness, and the indifference are beyond disappointing--they are DISGUSTING. As someone with experience working in multiple daycares and schools, I know that if a 3-year-old refuses to sleep on a cot, you don't allow them to lay on a cold, dirty floor like an animal. You comfort them, you redirect them, and you provide care. The fact that this didn't happen is a complete failure on your part. Even a dog gets a bed. My son deserved far better than this. And yes, I will say it--had Leonardo not been a young Black boy, I believe this situation may have been handled with more compassion and urgency. He was neglected. There's no other word for it. Let me ask you this: How would you feel if you found out your child took a nap on the cold floor? Or picking him up wet and not exactly given an actual clear explanation ? If he was uncomfortable, if he was upset, if something happened--WHY wasn't I called? As his mother, I should have been informed immediately. Instead, he was left in that condition, and no one took responsibility. This is not just poor care. This is unacceptable. This is disgusting. This is neglect. Leonardo will NOT be returning to your center. I will also be reporting this incident to corporate and taking further steps as necessary. I expect a written explanation, not excuses. Do better!!!!! This is my review and what happened to my child

Their patience, dedication, and communication through the Brightwheel app have given us confidence that he's in great hands. It's been wonderful seeing those friendships continue through birthday parties outside of daycare. We also appreciate the variety of activities beyond the daily curriculum. He is loving the summer camp program, and it's obvious the staff put a lot of effort into making every day fun. My daughter is now 3 1/2 years old and has been attending since she was just 3 months old. Over the years, I've never had a negative experience with any of the teachers or staff she's had the privilege of knowing. As a mom, there's no greater comfort than knowing your child is surrounded by so many caring adults. It truly feels like she has a second family there, and that's something I could never provide on my own. The amount she has learned amazes me. Almost every day she comes home with new vocabulary, funny expressions, better manners, and new skills. Even learning to share has been something she's picked up there. Watching her confidence and independence grow has been incredible. One of my favorite parts of Over the Rainbow is the communication. I love receiving photos throughout the day, and it's always easy to reach her teachers when I have a question. I also appreciate how much effort they put into family events. While I can't always attend because of work, they're always thoughtful and well organized. The kindergarten graduation ceremony was by far the sweetest event I've attended--it was so clear how much the staff genuinely love and care about the children. It honestly makes me sad knowing my daughter won't be there much longer. These early years are so important, and I'm incredibly grateful for the role Over the Rainbow has played in helping shape the kind, curious, and caring little girl she's becoming. I would wholeheartedly recommend Over the Rainbow to any family looking for a safe, loving, and nurturing place for their child.
