The barista told me it was 12 oz and mentioned it might just be a different cup, then walked away without really addressing the concern. I checked my receipt and confirmed I was charged for a 16 oz. I went back to the counter and explained that I simply wanted the correct size. Initially, I was told I would need to pay more, which was frustrating. After explaining again, she finally offered to remake it. For clarity, the drink hadn't been touched at all--I returned it exactly as it was. I really like this place and will continue to support it, but I hope the team can improve on order accuracy and customer service, especially when concerns are raised politely. A little more attentiveness and willingness to resolve issues would go a long way.

The park is pretty much as I remembered. There's a huge lawn area for the kids to run around on. They also do soccer lessons for little kids on the weekend. There are several large, well-maintained bathrooms, which even have paper towels! There's drinking fountains in that same area. There are two kids play structures. One is larger, perhaps for older kids, and a smaller one with swings close by. Our granddaughter loved to go down the slide. There's also a sandpit nearby where kids play in the sand. There are quite a few tables and benches, and even BBQs. You can also reserve an area for a special party. The park has a large parking area, so I don't think you'll have trouble with parking. There's also free parking on the street close by. The same area has the famous Shannon Community Center, where they have all kinds of kids camps and classes. So overall, a pleasant park, with lots of options for young kids to play. The day that I visited, the water splash area was turned off. Perhaps it goes back on in the summer? Some of the buildings are showing their wear, but Shannon Park is still a great asset to Dublin.

I always wanted to visit the house, but it only recently opened to the public has a house museum. I was fortunate to be able to join a small group for a private tour. As soon as we were met by a Docent in period dress the mood was set. Walking over the bridge to the house she started to tell the history of the Glass Family and the Valley as it was in 1877. Stepping though the door is really a step back in time. The nine room house is decorated as it would have been when the Glass family lived there. Everyone of the nine rooms was clean and not a bit of dust could be seen on the many knickknacks that the Victorians adorned their homes with. Everything in the house is original to the period. While the rugs, wallpaper, and some of the fabrics on furniture are new, they are all period reproductions. The knowledge that the two docents, Pat and Kim, shared was amazing. In addition to the story of the Glass family and the San Ramon Valley, they peppered their talk with some CA. history. I came away with even more of an appreciation of women in the 19th century working in those long dresses There is a connection between the Glass family and Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. You will have to take a tour with either Pat or Kim to get the rest of the story.

Like footsteps on the second floor, objects being moved, stuff like that. The staircase within the shop gave me a creepy vibe. It is made of old wood and it is narrow. Looking up to the second floor is eerie and uncomfortable. Maybe I felt that way because my friend just told me that the ghosts known to inhibit the Kottinger Barn can be heard walking up and down these very steps. **Shivers** Ohhh ghost stories give me the willys but I love them! The way the owners set up the back yard is cute. It's ambiance is old and used and also kind of sad and lonely for it looked like it was abandoned for years. Plus, the food at Castlewood is phenomenal. Sandy was an absolute joy to work with while we were planning our event. She was very responsive, patient, and kind while we were navigating the planning process and asking a thousand questions. The private room where the Celebration of Life was just perfect for the event and this was the first time I have been to a venue for a Celebration of Life, rather than at a church. The event started with the buffet lunch, which consisted of mashed potatoes, bread, salad, mixed vegetables, beef and chicken. The food was plentiful and filling, however the beef was a bit on the chewy side even though it was medium rare. Coffee, iced tea, canned soda and hot tea were also available and a rich chocolate cake with raspberry filling was served for dessert. We didn't come here for the food but if you want to host an event here, the grounds are lovely and service is friendly.
