They replaced the gates and metal fences around our apartment complex, and then did not provide any tenants with the codes to the walk in gate. I have requested service and tried to get ahold of the admin for the property but am unable to after an entire week. I would feel like the world's dumbest person if I was in charge of things and they were being handled like this. read more

this company creative management needs to improve how they manage customer service overall. There is a lack of follow-up, empathy, and clear communication. It feels like they are just there to collect payments, which I understand everyone works for a paycheck, but there is no consideration for what residents are going through. When you try to pay a bill and the website system is not working, there is no one available to help. You attempt to reach someone who can assist with the website, but they are never available. It feels like they are always on a break or unavailable during business hours. They have time to send bills and notices, but not enough time to help residents resolve issues. Management needs to do better at being accessible, responsive, and understanding. read more

Creative Management is not 'perfect'... NO management company is going to make everybody happy all the time... It's the nature of the business. I have lived in other locations in Houston with various management companies and I have witnessed the chaos and confusion resulting from mismanagement. Now, as an HOA board member I can see first-hand the challenges faced by HOA boards and management companies trying to keep everyone happy, yet at the same time, enforcing HOA rules and guidelines. Creative Management has gone 'over and above' many times to meet the demands of our condominium owners and residents! CMCTX issues mass emails, as needed, to inform owners and residents of issues and resolutions. Ray, our CMCTX rep is simply amazing. He frequently answers calls (and complaints) from residents and does his very best to resolve issues. Many times, however, these 'complaints' are the result of a violation and the resident is just trying to "get around the rules". Trying to get ahold of the representative for our community Clinton S, is an absolute nightmare, he never answers his phone, the emergency maintenance representative hangs up on you while trying to ask simple questions, for what we pay. They should be answering there phones and be professional. Very disappointed in this company as they have shown they don't care about the residents and only care about the money. read more

We've worked with multiple HOA management companies over the past 15 years that we've owned our house. Creative was hands down the worst one. They regularly weaseled out of things they agreed to or were contracted to. It went on for years. Caley is a particularly bad manager. They are also very expensive. Finally, we moved on to a different management company last year. Unfortunately we are still having to deal with many things a year later because of a lot of their incompetence. Warning!! As other reviews have indicated, they start out great and then suck. Our property manager, who is named in other reviews...repeatedly ignores emails for issues. Customer service is not a priority for this company. I wish our community could operate without a management company because these companies are a scam. First, Caley D., it's Trista. We had at least 20 people asking the board to fire CMC. The four board members refused. Yes, I was on the board and quit be/c of Kyle's rude treatment, not only to me, but many residents. If the board were headed in the right direction, there wouldn't be at least 20 unhappy residents. Many residents are concerned about the so-called budget that was approved via e-mail violating TPC 209.0051. Kyle and the board sent out a notice to a resident threatening to fine her up to $20 to $200 a day, which is completely against our CCRs and bylaws. CMC has been sued over 30 times in Harris County District court and over 10 times in the Harris County Court at Law. Clearly, the board did not do their due diligence in hiring CMC. The board and Kyle also violated Bylaw Article XII (a). read more

It is a fact that CMC only hires people who are unprofessional, rude, greedy, etc., and they do NOT care about the residents or the owners. I eventually sold my condo and was relieved to no longer have to deal with Joyce, Monique or any of those specimens... I found out today that CMC is the management company for the condo I am about to purchase in the SW area of Houston. It's a pity, but on Monday morning I will have to cancel the transaction. Just purchased a property managed by this company last week. I do not have a gate code to enter the property & received an email that it will be an entire week before I receive a code. Therefore, I'm expected to sit outside the gate to wait for someone else to enter so I can tailgate in & hope the gate doesn't start to close. read more

Horrible response time. I've submitted a letter to the Board earlier this year and Jim Miller was supposed to present it. I did not receive any update. Yet they increase our condo fees and I'm still living with the same issues. Doesn't seem fair but they're about getting paid, not being fair. read more

Ever since this management company(Creative Management Company) took over, the whole living environment has been down, and we are constantly having water issues, as it happened just over the weekend, that we don't have hot water for the 4th time since this winter started, and it took them really LONG TIME to repair the one of the pipes (according to them)yesterday Feb 12, we don't have hot water AGAIN, and now it is just Tuesday Feb 13. mid-day. Property Management agent, Lynn, has performed in a completely negligent and unprofessional manner. She has not stepped foot on property for over a year. When non-officer members of the HOA board make inquiries of financials and meetings, they either receive no response or she says it's not her responsibility. I have requested multiple times copies CURRENT bylaws and annual financials with no response. We have not had an HOA meeting in over 2 years and the property manager will not send out notices or explain why there are no meetings being held. She does not advise the HOA President and Vice-President on proper actions or adherence to HOA bylaws or Texas Property Codes. She does not even fulfill the minimum duties laid out in the agreement between our HOA and CMCTX. Collection manager, Monica, does not read through inquiries on an unknown fee, just replies with a template email with red letters and CAPS on how to pay. No explanation or response to the question of the fee. Such poor effort to duties causes me to wonder exactly how many Texas Property Codes and statues that CMCTX has aided and abetted our HOA officers in committing or even committed themselves. They start out great and do all the things they are hired to do. But after a while, their assigned employee gets very slack. That creates problems that are not addressed timely and turn into bigger problems. One of the contractors they use for certain jobs apparently had a disagreement with them and stated there is much under the table stuff that goes on. read more

Weird to see all the negative reviews. They manage our property at Fontainebleau condos on Cambridge St and we've never had any problems. On the contrary, they take good care of the property, repairing potholes on the parking lot or the front gate or whatever is needed. They also added a night guard when we had issues with car breakings a while back. I only have good things to say about them, especially Mr Cheek. read more

Georgetown subdivision HOA Houston Tx 77079/77024 zip. We have corroded, rusted, expired plumbing, rusted caports, rotten wood, rats, what appears to be foundation issues and discrepancies on the financial statementts. Our insulation looks black. We had a building burn down, multiple plumbing breaks daily, and a brick wall collapse. However..our HOA board members and finance committee members appear to have completely beautiful expensive ,renovated townhomes . The management demands a key to all residents homes. I don't trust the HOA or their recommended plumbers with my key Residents were having plumbing blowouts extremely often. I was told that half of our subdivision is now renters and therefore owned by " investors". My subdivision is pretty on the surface and located in a good area. In 18 years my HOA funds don't appear to be used for MY building repairs, updates, and maintenance . I don't think my building is a priority on their list. I read that Creative Management makes at least $20 million a year. There is no excuse. I think Georgetown HOA reccomends Best plumbing and I don't trust either one of them in my home. read more

For anyone thinking of moving into a community with an HOA. CHECK WHO THE MANAGEMENT COMPANY IS FIRST. Hopefully, that is why you are here. Rude, unhelpful unless it's the board president. For anyone living in a community Managed by Creative. Check your financials. Check what utilities are being auto payed by creative without anyone seeing the bill. CHECK YOUR PHONE BILLS. Mr. Douglas has been in the property management business for years. He does only as much as he has to to protect himself and his company. Technically , he's not obligated to do more. Morally, Ethically, it's disgusting that he stands by and enables blatant corruption in many communities that Creative manages. As long as the board keeps paying the management fee. We complained about this a year ago and they never replied or care to respond. now they want to steal some money again by jacking up our electric bill. WARNING! ALERT! CAUTION! I would not give any stars if possible. The owners and employees at CMC are a NIGHTMARE to have to work with! In the 1 year that we hired them, they have ruined our once happy community. This company operates the way it wants to regardless of the TX CCRs rules, Laws, bylaws. From the President and VP of the company, to your account manager, to the billing dept, to the work order dept, these are THE MOST rude, unprofessional people you will ever have the displeasure of trying to work with. These people DO NOT RESPECT HOMEOWNERS. CMC is EXTREMELY ARROGANT and operates their own way of doing business just outside of the TX CCR's because they know no one will challenge them legally. I was personally insulted by the VP and called an idiot in front of the receptionist because he didn't care for my questions. There is visible electronic communications between the board of directors and CMC about how the homeowners are all idiots and they will continue to operate in their rogue manner. The account manager breached my banking security by passing my payment around the office, they have lost (misplaced) monthly due payments and refuse every request or work order. I just got an email from a new rep I never dealt with before, Kelly Futral, who told me that she is done emailing with me because I insisted that she send the HOA plumber due to the fact that we had a pre-existing plumbing issue that is happening again which previously involved the HOA plumber. Kelly says the two owners should resolve this. But that means that Kelly is trying to keep the information of this pre-existing plumbing situation from the new owners when a more responsible HOA would have tried to figure out if this is the same problem, and had the party at fault reimburse the HOA if it's not a common pipe. That's what my other HOAs do, at least the HOA's that have good property management companies. Kelly doesn't care that our property is now unlivable, unsafe and dangerous to walk in side with broken glass from the bathroom mirror wall where water leaked. read more

Just reiterating my previous review. Came home from work today and had a hole in my wall from an investor neighbor doing work in their unit. Call the after hours number like I have many times before. The property supervisor called me back talking about she will call me tomorrow with the info. Hold up, the on call person doesn't have owner info readily available? And she was so nonchalant. Just like she was back in April of this year when a common area pipe backed up into my unit. It took days for the rest of the extraction to happen even though the day of the told me it would happen once the problem was repaired. I have over 10 years of water intrusion in this unit and Creative has failed time and time again in their response. read more
