The classrooms are often dirty, cluttered, and poorly maintained. What bothered me the most was the way some of the older teachers speak to and handle the children. and constantly telling children to "be quiet" instead of redirecting them appropriately. I honestly came a few times in the past to pick up. And heard rough talking It created an uncomfortable environment that did not feel warm or nurturing. A lot of families seem to stay mainly because they've been there for years and have relationships with the director and owner. But overall, the atmosphere and treatment of the children was disappointing and not what I expected from a preschool environment.

I'm writing this review with a heavy heart. I'm not one to bash any company! If I dislike any…read morecompany I just go about my day and don't return. Unfortunately, today I felt the need to review this business due to the trauma my son has been facing. My son attended this center for less than 8 months. In which two major head injuries occurred (see photo). One hematoma on the forehead which has left him with permanent muscle tear and is visible when he cries or laughs real big. Second injury was staples on his head because they allowed another child to hit my son with a very heavy plastic toy that gashed my son's head pretty deep. This is not ALL staff but certainly some young ones who clearly are not meant to be in The field to care for children. Sadly also management not being more proactive to make sure teachers are more aware of the children's surroundings. These are only 2 incidents that I felt justifiable enough never to return. There were other incidents of my child constantly being bitten. My reason for writing this is because the staples incident occurred 4/4/2025 and today my son had a complete meltdown scared to return to a new daycare... still naming the child from kindercare who hurt him. I'm not blaming the child I'm blaming management for having people who don't care and for not being more involved in the classroom. When my husband returned the following Monday to retrieve our sons belongings the staff didn't even bat an eye and that's very sad to hear. The reviews you see here are from management office pushing to get reviews from both parents and staff. They aren't real reviews. I only know this because I was one of the parents who received those request in November/December. Due to the biting incidents it took me awhile to review. But after the hematoma I removed it. All bad reviews seem to have been deleted. I hope they do better... for the children's safety and for the parents who have to work and shouldn't have to worry about their children's safety.

It's so refreshing to work with a team that's knowledgeable, supportive, kind, and compassionate.!!!!! Lead leaders..... to make a good team you have to lead by example, I give major kudos to shelley, Danielle and cardine for their work ethic and for making my decision of relocating so much better!!! if you are looking for a daycare, that's very well put together and want to feel safe about having your child go there..... they are going to experience an abundance of love support and compassion. I have met and witnessed other teachers in other classrooms and the way they handle their classroom and the way they are with the children all I could see is love, admiration and compassion!!!! but most of all PATIENCE which is what children need...... This is truly the canter to bring your kids if you live in the Cedar Grove or nearby towns, you will not regret it...I am a mom of two sons who are adults now I've worked in a pediatric office. I've worked in labor and delivery. I'm also a birth doula and I have to say out of all these places I've worked in with management and coworkers this by far......beats it allllllll...,,there's so much love here ..,,, something that they need....you gotta remember parents have to work so I am sure that while they're at work they want to hope and know that their children are giving the love and compassion and support and helping them with their milestones..... and REMEMBER these children are a reflection of us, so us teachers will be raising leaders here...... because what we would want for our own we would want for others...... many people have told me if I say something it's gotta hold truth... I never did have to back up my words because actions always spoke the truth. The Learning experience in Cedar Grove I am telling you....,,. YOU will not be disappointed....... and plus they'll have me as an infant if they are at that age. if you don't take my words, just experience it...

If you are looking for a daycare with genuine loving teachers and a safe and nurturing environment,…read morethis is the place to go. When i was looking for a daycare for my one year daughter that was closer to home Emma Daycare is the first one that came up when i put in my criteria. I visited them and it was love at first sight! The first thing that i was happy about is that to enter the classroom every parent had to wear booties, which keeps the classroom clean and germ free rather than each and everyone walking in with dirty shoes. This is a place where kids spend 8-9 hours daily and it is very important the environment is clean and dirt free to ensure they do not fall sick. I have never had my child with a dirty/runny nose as the teachers have always been kind enough to clean them so that when i pick them up in the evening they are still like they were in the morning. My daughter hardly fell sick while she was there. The teachers are extremely patient and tolerant and even though she took her time to be potty trained they never showed attitude when they had to clean her. Every year she had wonderful teachers who genuinely love the children and not just a show of. Academically they are very focused and if a child needs to be challenged because they may be ahead to behind the class they are done without questions. In addition to academics the extra curricular activities like Champ Fusion, Jujitshu, Dance all being in one places saved me the effort of driving her around as i did have another child to cater to. The Winter Shows, Monday Day, Pumpkin picking even the Photographs that were taken professionally have all only added to our wonderful experience and i would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this daycare to everyone i meet. (In fact i have referred a few). Oh did i mention food? It yummy and my daughters still asks for it! Thank you Emma Daycare for taking such good care of my daughter.

Despite the fact that I left two voicemails, no one bothered to call me back. I find it extremely disturbing that a daycare center was so unresponsive when they are responsible for looking after young children. Parents should be able to get in touch with a daycare easily in case of any emergencies. After informing me during the tour that they had space for my child, it was bizarre that they didn't call me back. Perhaps they didn't respond because they're racist and didn't want my African American child at their Russian daycare. Either way, it was insulting and they are extremely unprofessional. I would definitely not recommend this daycare to anyone.

I was informed at the time that this type of contract is typically offered to teachers; however, the director offered it to us as a courtesy when we were preparing to leave, due to the school's 12-month schedule and lack of a guaranteed September spot if a child is withdrawn for July and August. I was clear with the director that I am not a teacher, and the contract was still offered and signed. Based on vocal and written communication, my understanding was that this agreement allowed my child to be out for July and August while maintaining her enrollment for September. Recently, we were unexpectedly asked to confirm our intentions for the next school year. When I referenced the 10-month contract, I was told someone would follow up with me, which did not happen. I then emailed for clarification. The owner responded by stating that I had misunderstood the agreement, despite the contract and email I had in writing from her outlining what the 10 month contract is. When I said I would need to consult a lawyer if the agreement was not honored, I was told the owner does not deal with "litigious people," and my child was removed from the program in the middle of the school day. Separately, my child reported being hit by another student on multiple occasions. When these concerns were brought to the owner, I was told that my child was lying. There was also an incident where staff commented negatively on my child's lunch, telling her that yogurt was unhealthy, which I found inappropriate. This review reflects my direct experience only. I encourage parents to ask detailed questions, get all agreements in writing, and carefully consider how concerns and disputes are handled before enrolling.
