This is a long over due review. I happen to yelp for an engraving place and found Creative Indulgence just few minutes way. I was there to get an engraving for a frame work that my son's class was working on for a fundraising event. I walked in with this massive square frame that really needed help. I thought I did an okay job at spray paint it black, but when Pierre? (I think he was the owner) saw my masterpiece I swear I saw pity in his face. He offered to sand and repaint it for me. He even ask me how I sprayed it and gave me some tips on next time how to use a paint spray. You do not understand the relief when he offered to do that for me. I was not happy with the way the the project was turning out and the deadline was only few days away. They had it ready for me with in a couple of days and when I went to pick it up, it looked awesome! As a wedding gift for some friends, I bought a cutting board and took it to Creative Indulgence to have the date, names, and some decoration engraved on the cutting board. Not only were they able to complete the whole thing in about 4 days (I was scared it would be too short of notice) but they did an excellent job finding a bouquet of flowers for me and engraving. I have a picture that I want to attach, but it does not do the work justice. So much detail!! I was excited, possibly too much so, for a new local business that could help with mine. I originally went to Pierre last year for a holiday gift order that got mishandled and not done in time. It was the busy time of year so I understood at first. During Christmas vacation Pierre reached out to me in regards to the previous mistake. I really appreciate when people make an effort to save a relationship so I decided to try again in January. My items were Yeti Mugs that cost me $40 each. We did a test run of 5 and there was a few mistakes. I was assured the problem could be fixed so we went ahead with full order of 18. This was a huge mistake!!! Many of the items were damaged and not etched properly. When things got sticky, Pierre handed me off to his employees for further communication. The full value of the mugs was never compensated because there's a damage clause on the paperwork you fill out in the beginning. I'm not name calling but the owner was less than honest with me about what he is or is not capable of doing as a small business. I try to stay away from large companies like Shutterfly but at least they will compensate for their mistakes. Being a small business in the Southbay means something to me and this isn't one you should waist or money your time with! Honestly. read more
