Notice the poor color? They need correction. Wide angle shots are distorted. Some photos, subjects are positioned incorrectly. Shame on Midweek for allowing this "veteran" photographer to shoot at the level of professionalism. The photographer needs some training to qualify as a representative to a publication of this caliber.

Vegas magazines are all about clubbing or "things to do" and Contrast is all about the culture of "the aina" or "the land." My favorite articles were mos def about the people. The people that make Hawaii -Hawaii! The surfers, the hip hop artists, the fashion designers, etc. The photos of Hawaii almost made me tear, too. Shows me that home IS where the heart is! And I miss it a lot... Whoever does takes the pics for the mag SHOULD GET A RAISE! Photographers really captures the beauty of Hawaii, the beauty of its culture, and the beauty in its people showing that Hawaii is MORE than just sun, sand, and surf. I don't know where in Vegas I could pick some up but, if you're in Hawaii.....do yourself a favor and cop a magazine or two... There are thousands of trees and the landscaping is getting revitalized to improve views, reduce maintenance and beautify the property. The owners voted on that plan and subsequently it was approved by the county. That plan will take time to achieve and yes, that means workers during the workday and at times some noise. If someone has an issue with living in a condo with close neighbors and projects to maintain and update a property that was built starting in 1979 then this is not the place. A single-family home may be a better choice. The negative reviews are old and appear to be from tenants who do not have the financial investment an owner has to maintain the property and increase property values.
