The quote we were given was very reasonable and the project was on budget and completed earlier than estimated. My wife sent Eran several pictures of bathrooms that she admired. Eran was patient and really listened to our ideas, made constructive suggestions and created a design that matched her vision. The final design was exactly what we wanted. All of the employees were extremely courteous and helpful and our dogs even looked forward to seeing them daily. They were so considerate about keeping the area neat that we were able to use our bedroom during construction of our en suite. Everyone is extremely conscientious and thorough. They are very communicative and responsive to any questions. Eran was always available and showed up almost everyday himself. During a previous project we had done with a different contractor, we never saw the actual contractor after signing the contract. Eran and Nicole arranged everything regarding permits, inspections and deliveries. We were so happy with the process and result that we have hired them for our upcoming exterior projects.

Working with Oren and Nicole was great…read more My house was built by a carpenter inspired by Greene and Greene style. I had talked to multiple contractors and a designer about working on my bathroom, but ended up not hiring any of them because they did not understand how important maintaining the Greene and Greene style was to me. Everyone wanted to rip out or alter the trim in some way. When I spoke to Nicole, I explained that the bathroom was a very specific style and that I wanted to rennovate while maintaining the original trim. She assured me it would be no problem for Oren and she was right I am glad I chose to trust Pine Tree DC with my project. They converted my tub to a shower, replaced the vanity, and added a coat of fresh paint, all while maintaining the trim that was dear to me. One of the challenges in my bathroom is the narrow space between the shower and the vanity. the vanity is perpendicular to the shower and I wanted it to be as wide as possible without overlapping the shower. Oren double, triple measured and told me just the right measurement to order the custom vanity in. It fit perfectly next to the new glass shower which is also just the right width. For the vanity counter, I really liked the look of counters that end flush with the vanity, but Oren warned me that it would be standard to have it protrude a couple inches to protect the vanity from water. After considering it, I decided aesthetically I preferred it flush with the counter and wouldn't mind being careful about water. Oren understood and built it the way I wanted. There were several things like this where let Oren how I would like something, he would explain the pros and cons, and then I was free to make an informed decision! This is absolutely the best, I really appreciate that Oren would help me make informed decisions but ultimately leave it up to me to make sure I would be happy with a bathroom built for me! Oren was also very detail oriented and would let me know if anything came up during construction that might impact one of my decisions, and sometimes I did change my mind based on the new information. Overall Oren was a joy to work with, a problem solver with a cool head, a collaborator that made things happen and understood my goals. Also can't forget, Nicole was always friendly and very helpful in recommending places to source materials from and handling logistics. A dream team!

RUN! They did…read morecountertops in my kitchen and bathroom and 2 hallways. Many things wrong and they refuse to repair or even come to see the problems. When I insisted, I was told to "F-off"... literally. I am now suing them. The countertops are uneven. Instead of cutting corners at 45 degrees or even square, they did this odd cut in my kitchen (see photos). The kitchen sink was not installed with clips as directed. Instead Victor created a narrow "lip" to set the sink on. When filled with water, it came loose and crashed. There are huge gaps between The island countertop is higher on the right side than the left. See photos. The difference in size between left door and right door in photo. This is because plywood was not laid correctly. The stone for the bathroom sinks was not cut to size. It hangs over on 1 side. The sinks leak. He cut holes for soap dispensers which do not line up. It goes on... RUN! I am now suing them. CSLB is investigating them as they are not licensed. UPDATE: Victor claims no foul language was used... See photo of the screenshot of the text messages from the owner (his sister), ""f-your sink" "And "f you too" when I asked them to make an appointment to check out the problems. It's not a plumbing leak. The sink has fallen away from the countertop because it was not installed correctly and it leaks into the cabinet when water get's in between the sink and the countertop. Had Victor bothered to call to find out what was going on, he would have known this. But he said once the job was done, they had no further liability. He is wrong. CA law has an implied warranty of 1 year on all workmanship. Also, see email from Lisseth DePaz then check out the review she left herself "Lisseth D." Since you can now see they are liars... RUN! I am now suing them. CSLB is investigating them as they are not licensed.

I had the absolute pleasure of working directly with Jose, the owner, and I can't say enough good things about him and his team. Jose took on a massive project for us: building an ADU, a full room extension, and an entirely new garage from the ground up. From the very first nail to the final finishing touch, Jose was 100% in control. His attention to detail, communication, and commitment to excellence made a potentially stressful experience feel seamless. What stood out the most? His integrity. Jose only makes recommendations that are genuinely in the best interest of the customer -- never upselling, never cutting corners. He takes immense pride in his professional craftsmanship, and it shows in every square inch of his work. He was kind, honest, and incredibly easy to work with. This was a long project with many moving parts, and throughout the process, I got to know Jose beyond just a contractor -- he became someone I consider a friend. The hardest part about hiring someone to work on your home is finding someone with strong work ethics and impeccable skills. Jose and American Professional Builders are exactly that. Thank you, Jose, for building out our dream home -- a place our family and in-laws can now enjoy for generations. We'll absolutely be working with you again for all future projects.

From day one, they did exactly what they said they were going to do. They showed up on time every morning, communicated clearly throughout the project, and even sent me progress photos every evening before they left so I always knew what had been accomplished. What impressed me most was how much they genuinely cared about the quality of their work and about making sure I was happy every step of the way. They kept the work area incredibly clean (which is so rare), and I never felt like I was living in a construction zone. They also went above and beyond by helping with things that weren't really their responsibility, including assisting with installing my bathroom cabinet and helping with the countertop. That level of professionalism and kindness is hard to find. I received several bids before starting this project, and while they weren't the cheapest, they were worth every penny. You may forget the money you saved by hiring the lowest bidder, but you will definitely remember the headache of having to redo bad work. Choosing these guys saved me from that. Even my kids were sad when the project was over because they had gotten so used to seeing them every day! They work fast, communicate well, take pride in what they do, and deliver beautiful results. If you're on the fence, just hire them. I would recommend them to my family and friends without hesitation.

When I moved into my house in 2023 I got new flooring and the previous company did such a horrible job that the tiles started cracking right away. I finally had to do something about it. Looking for what felt like forever I finally found Hurtado's Tile and Stone. I was greeted with a warm and friendly man named Richard. We came to an agreement to do my kitchen/laundry as well as my office and outdoor tile. He helped me so much along the way with picking tile, giving advice and even getting me good deals. The projected started and his dad Efren and brother Brian started the job right on time (this has never happened and I have dealt with a lot of contractors/workers). They continue their work and were always communicating and on time. This is unheard of for me. He even helped me find someone to do another job I needed which also turned out amazing. The flooring came out exactly how I wanted it, so beautiful! The quality of work is amazing. But what is even better is they are just great people. They cleaned up after themselves and were so respectful. I honestly couldn't recommend them enough.
