Craig has a few Creative Density locations around Colorado (cool business model) and I used a DeskPass credit to visit the one on Emerson St. Well, I originally booked at Park Hill and mixed up my directions, but Craig was chill about it. There's a few dedicated parking spots in the back. Otherwise, find somewhere on the street. The cozy feeling is probably because the space is a repurposed house, with multiple rooms and floors. I got a little lost at first, but Craig gave me the grand tour. Everything is clean, and the décor is quirky. I loved learning about the various coworking members from their profiles posted on the wall by the stairs. Impressive variety of backgrounds and skillsets. It's generally pin-drop quiet in here. I was self-conscious about making too much noise or typing too loud, but everyone seemed friendly. WiFi was strong. It was easy to lose track of time while being productive in this laidback space. 2 years ago, I had just moved to Denver. I was seeking more remote work and going seriously stir-crazy working out of random coffee shops and decided to give coworking a try. Then after a quick internet search, I found a space claiming to be "the friendliest coworking space in Denver," Creative Density. I thought it would be like the other spaces I'd visited down South and expected your typical stale experience, with fake-ness and pasted-on smiles with people trying to be nice. Their online claim turns out to be true. Thanks to the owner, Craig, and everyone else there, I felt like a part of the space fairly quickly. I've been working part-time at CD for over 3 years, and it's the best. As others have mentioned, Craig the owner, and everyone in the space is super friendly and welcoming. I joined CD in 2015 because I was looking for a coworking space to go to a few days a week, and CD was by far the most friendly, least corporate-y, and lowest cost coworking space I saw in Denver. I've made some great friends in the time I've been there, and everyone I've come into contact with has been friendly, interesting and pleasant to work alongside. I love the casual "food events", e.g., top a taco, top a burger, ice cream sundae days that Craig hosts at the space. We also do Friday lunch every week, where the groups picks a local restaurant for anyone who can join to enjoy lunch together. The vibe is very casual. Downstairs there's a "quiet side" (mostly heads down working) and a "loud side" (soft music, more chatting), both set up with desks and available monitors and keyboards. You can rent a permanent desk space, or just 'hot desk'. Upstairs are small office spaces and a conference room. Other perks include free (good!) coffee and a kegerator ("Craigerator"). Don't expect super fancy extras like kombucha on tap or dry cleaning. But there is a washers set (poor man's corn hole), inside bike rack, and plenty of good vibes. read more

Creative Density is my favorite coworking place in Denver BY FAR! When I visited back in March, I was looking for a spot to get work done, but I got so much more! Not knowing much about Denver, it was lovely to meet friendly people who had great suggestions of what to do/see while I was in town. So not only was I able to get stuff done and feel productive, I'm lucky to say I made some new friends in the process. Craig, the owner, is super friendly and made me feel right at home. I love Creative Density! I found my way to this lovely space when I moved into the neighborhood. It was quite a stressful move, and my apartment couldn't get WiFi for a few days, so luckily Creative Density saved me as a remote worker dependent on WiFi. I was able to tour the space and reserve a conference room for a workshop I was hosting that same day!! As someone who works remote and hosts workshops, this was exactly the type of space I needed. Craig is amazing and welcoming from the very beginning. From that day on, I signed up for an unlimited membership, and it has been an incredible experience ever since. I've met some of the nicest and most genuinely people through the community. Friday lunch is a wonderful way to meet a lot of the members. I have already recommended others to this space, but if you're reading this and wondering if you should take a tour... Just do it! ;) You'll be happy you did! read more

When I first moved to Denver, I kept my DC job. This meant working from home, which wasn't an easy transition. At first, I felt a little crazy. My fiance would come home from work and by Thursday, I'd be DYING to get out of the house. During one of the first weeks doing this, we spontaneously went to a Blue Man concert on a Thursday night because I had to get out of the house. The end result was that I was spending far too much money. Creative Density allows you to come in for a "free day" to check the place out, which is exactly what I did and I loved it. The people that work at Creative Density are incredibly friendly and the work space is progressive. I loved the option to use standing desks and I loved the "quiet areas" versus talkative areas. It's clean and there's wifi and a printer for your use. The areas are decorated really colorfully. There is a kitchen for you to use as well and plenty of restaurants nearby for lunch. At the end of the work day, they all went outside to play a game of ring toss. It's also far cheaper than other coworking spots in the area. Unfortunately, after my employer agreed to pay for my time at Creative Density, they backed out and I never did become a regular there. I eventually left that job and now work in Lakewood so it isn't an option anymore, but I'd highly recommend this place to any people who were like me, work from home, and simply NEED to get out of the house. read more

I camp out here three days a week. If I could, I'd camp out every day of the week. Alas, Craig B. only keeps Creative Density open to the public M-F, during 'normal' business hours. Are you a freelancer? An entrepreneur? Tired of working from home? Then Creative Density is the place for you. Come cowork with us! I'm going to be honest: I became a member here because I couldn't focus on homework/business planning in my own apartment (at DU). Sad, right? Well, I make the effort/the commute to get to Creative Density to feel that energy, that motivation to stay focused. Once a month, Craig opens up Creative Density to non-members through a free co-working day. Also, in general, new visitors are allowed one free co-working day to try out the place, check out the people, etc. I love coming here because it's like I'm coming home to my creative/business-minded family. I spent a mere three days here (or was it two?) on a free trial and, let me say, work never felt so good. Set up in an old house, the vibe is very casual. Think: You and your sorority sisters or frat brothers are all crazy awesome entrepreneurs who need a space to work, be creative, and play. That's Creative Density. It's no frills, and simple fun. I got pulled out a few times to play Washers (it's like bags or corn hole, and I suck at it), which gave me a nice break from the grind. You won't find gourmet coffee or organic produce in the kitchen, but you'll find a fridge to put your homemade quiche in, so no complaints. There are offices, permanent desks, standing desks, noisy areas, quiet areas ... you'll find a place fit for you. For me, my biggest gripe is the location, only because I live in Lowry and it's a bit of a trek. There are four parking spots, but easy all-day parking within walking distance, too. If you're not sure, just pop in or stop by. Ultimately, the owner Craig is what sells the place. From the moment you meet him, you're going to want to be his friend. He's got a passion for coworking and is as chill as they come. read more

Creative Density is a "cowork": A sort of club you join and use a shared office with other freelancers, remote workers, and refugees from the cubicle environment. Different membership levels entitle you to weekly escalating use of the space. Workstations vary from standing/stool stations, couch time, and regular desks with chairs. While compartmentalized into rooms of an old Victorian, the space has an open feel to it, complete with a room specifically for talking on a cell phone. I go in once a week or so to have an office away from my home office. The model is especially good for designers and programmers tired of working in coffeeshops and who don't have a full home office to use. The work spaces are comfortable, the location in beautiful Five Points, and the denizens of Creative Density interesting. read more

Checked this place out today. The spaces are well put together and I think I could make a habit of this. There is a long desk tall enough for those who like standing desks. Lots of color makes for a fun and well, creative environment. Might be a 5-star place as I get used to this whole co-working concept. I'll have to come back soon. read more

Great urban location close to EVERYTHING. Craig, the host/coworking guru, makes everyone feel right at home, and everyone I meet is super friendly there. The space itself is very cool, and cozy feeling. I was immediately comfortable walking through the door, and the different workspaces are set up so that you can work quietly, or have a more social work environment.
