Definitely worth checking out and I'm already planning to get back here to explore the taco options…read more& ribs. They serve breakfast here too from 7.00 AM - 11.00 AM. Breakfast menu has tacos and burritos along with other options. I decided to order "Two meat" sandwich, just so I can try Burnt ends and Chipotle ghost pepper jack sausage. Please don't sleep on these sausage. They're really hot as they advertise it. Service was good and attentive. We got the food within 5-10 minutes. It was a wonderful day to eat outside too. They have two barbecue sauce options (sweet and spicy). Sandwich had 4 pieces of sausage and 4 pieces of burnt ends. If you're running early to airport or going home from airport, Scott's kitchen is a place to go!

Fourth time's the charm... right?…read more I was dragged back to Scott's Kitchen for my fourth visit, and I'll give credit where credit is due: there was finally some actual smoke smell! Progress! I'll also admit that the piece of pulled pork I had was pretty decent. Unfortunately, everything else was pretty much what I expected based on my previous visits. My biggest issue is the price. $18 for three tacos is pretty outrageous, especially when that $18 doesn't include a drink, a side, or anything else. At that price, I expect the BBQ to absolutely knock it out of the park. And that's really my problem with Scott's: I just don't understand the hype. In my opinion, it's not one of the top BBQ places in Kansas City, and at these prices, it needs to be. Here's my BBQ rule: if the BBQ can't stand on its own and be great, then you're a restaurant that serves BBQ--not a great BBQ restaurant. I've now been four times, and I keep hoping I'll finally understand what everyone else seems to see. Still waiting. At this point, I may need to order a fifth time just to make sure I'm not missing something... but my wallet is strongly recommending that I stop the investigation.

The menu goes beyond the usual fried bar food, with options that work just as well for a full lunch or dinner as they do for a few bites during happy hour. I started with the street-style tacos, and they were quite tasty! They were a great way to kick off the meal and got me excited for what was coming next. The shrimp and grits and the honey butter biscuits made my belly HAPPY! The shrimp and grits were satisfying, and those biscuits were such a delicious addition. This was the kind of meal that had me glad I came hungry! What I appreciated most was being able to enjoy the bar atmosphere while still having a meal that felt worth coming in for on its own. You could stop by for happy hour or sit down away from the bar for lunch or dinner and have plenty to look forward to. The happy hour menu is definitely worth a try! The service is attentive and welcoming. Between the tasty tacos, shrimp and grits, and honey butter biscuits, Third Street Social gave me several reasons to return.

We walked in Thursday around 5:20pm and got one of the only tables available. Parking is spread out around the building with a lot behind the restaurant. Third Street Social is set back from NW Barry Road in mixed use- Appartments and Retail. We ordered a few happy hour menu items, a bottle of Riesling, and a Prime Rib Sandwich. The HH Brussels and cauliflower were awesome, the BBQ burnt ends were definitely a KC style Pork Belly ( know that's it's pork belly, not a BBQ restaurant "burnt ends " ) If Nora is taking care of you, you're gonna have a smooth experience. She's patient and attentive. The Prime Rib sandwich was flavorful and the Rare Ribeye was Tender. The presentation on the Taco was a miss. It's presented as described, a Taco on a plate... when everything else is elevated, a flat Taco definitely stands out.

The first two tweaks were manageable, but the third change (after KC hosted the World Cup) finally lost me, and I haven't been back since. The current version is two small, lighter-colored crab cakes not as fried as usual , with a very strong cilantro taste that overpowers everything else. If you're a cilantro fan, maybe that's your thing, but for me it completely misses what a crab cake should be. The crab itself should be the star, not the herbs. Hoping they bring back the old recipe, because this used to be a happy hour staple.( mozzarella sticks are still bomb though)

This particular location rebranded and is now called five four restaurant and drafthouse. They remodeled the inside and it's actually quite nice and much more roomier than before. The front of the restaurants is regular seating and the back of the restaurant is the bar area and patio. It's quite nice how they separated it. The Food is good, it's mostly the same food with a few additional items in the menu. But is super slow. We've come to this location about 4 times since moving back to Kansas City and every time, service is super slow. We usually go on a weekday around 4:45-5 pm for dinner. And it almost always takes at least 40 minutes or more for our food to come after ordering. The servers rarely come back to check on us. We always have to flag down whoever we see to get our server to come back for ordering, or getting more dressing, or getting our check. We love coming here because it's close and convenient to our home and the food is good, but might have to come up with another option if service is always like this every time we come.

The restaurant has been open about four years, but the recipes go back much further. The family's original sister restaurant in Argentina dates back to 1987, and the food absolutely feels rooted in tradition and authenticity. This was actually my first experience trying Argentinian food. From the Milanesas section of the menu, I ordered the Napolitana, topped with tomato sauce, ham, and cheese. I later learned it's supposedly soccer legend Lionel Messi's favorite dish. To me, it reminded me a bit of a deep-fried German schnitzel, in the best possible way. It came with delicious fries that disappeared quickly. My wife absolutely loved the freshly made empanadas. One detail we thought was clever: each empanada is stamped with a number identifying the filling, which makes ordering and sharing much easier. The surprise star of the meal was the Rogel cake for dessert. Thin, flaky layers packed with dulce de leche and topped with toasted meringue/ rich, crunchy, sweet and absolutely unforgettable Another fun surprise was the robot that delivers the food from the kitchen before the server brings it to your table. A small touch, but memorable. The pricing is incredibly reasonable, especially considering how authentic and satisfying the food is. Definitely a hidden gem in Kansas City if you're looking to try something different.

So, I ordered a corn and cheese empanada, and that was exactly as I expected. It was delicious. I also ordered the Marcia Lucia cake. Do order this cause it's awful to try to make at home. It was delicious. The robot server was always visiting our table. He's a cutie. Now, I loved the empanadas. But ordered lemonade and it was the most inedible lemonade I've ever had in my mouth. Either someone forgot the sugar, or it wasn't made to be sweetened. It was so awful, I used all of our sugar which mostly did the trick. Don't order lemonade if you go. Do order the cheese corn empanada and sangria. Lot's of Lionel Messi and World Cup. I enjoyed it cause this is an Argentina restaurant. I hope some of our out of town guests enjoy Los Hornos.

He enjoyed the kids library section. They have some neat in the wall seating for kids to read. They also have a large wooden ' café' for kids to play at. They had a good amount of books for children. The library was very busy on a Saturday later afternoon. I walked throughout the rest of the library to check it out and they have a good selection of books in the teens and adult areas. They also had a cooking room and also other meeting room rooms. It appeared to be a possible cooking lesson going on at the time we were there. They have a variety of comfortable and modern seating arrangements throughout the whole entire library. They also had a huge window area looking out on natural Prairie area that I believe might have hiking trails around it. We do not have library cards with this system so we didn't check anything out, but we did read books to our grandson while we were there. Everyone seemed to be getting good service from the librarians at the area as they were stationed. The library is a valuable resource for all the community members because of all the free resources that one can use. This library was new and modern. I do think the bathrooms could've been cleaned a little bit better or maybe more often.

And it's further afield than we normally do for date night so it felt like a choice he wouldn't expect, which is how we roll. We arrived at about 6:30 on a Friday and it was pleasantly full but not crazy. I had reservations, obviously. The staff had all signed a nice postcard on the table to note his birthday. After we put in our drink order (he got an old-fashioned and I got a Dr Pepper, since I was driving), our server brought over two bottles of Prosecco, one being NA since she wasn't sure if I drank or not, and offered us a toast for his birthday. I thought it was a nice gesture. They ask that you put in your full order at the top of the meal so they can pace it properly. We started with the whipped goat cheese with brussels sprouts and fried saltines. An interesting dish and fun to see saltines reimagined as something high-end. He got their gigantic pork chop and I got a perfectly cooked and delicious KC strip with the creamiest mashed potatoes. I saw half butter and half cream and I thought, that's for me! Lol. That wasn't a cheap entree, but it did include a sauce (I got béarnaise) and a choice of side. I took more than half of my meal home. At that point, she brought out the dessert menu and Kyle decided on the flourless chocolate cake, which is one of his favorites, but that he often doesn't get at a restaurant because so many restaurants buy their stuff from Sysco now. And holy cow, it's the best dessert I've had in ages! A great reminder of how good a flourless chocolate cake can be. Anyway, I definitely would recommend Acre. They did a great job of making my fiance feel really special and just generally had terrific service and wonderful elevated food. Helpful hint: there is a $25pp no show fee on reservations, so be aware of that, and cancel at least 24 hours out if you think you might need to.
