I loved this place but I know it's not going to be everyone's cup of tea for a spa. You have to be into unusual small businesses with a different creative flair. If you want a more stereotypical / conservative / minimalist vibe, go to Massage Envy or Burke Williams spa or an upscale hotel spa. If this is a gift you are giving someone then ask yourself if the receiver is more of a free spirit, yoga type or a bit more conservative or "uptight". Not to say that anything really weird happened here but it's just not the right fit for someone that likes a very stream line, normal type of spa in the same way that they probably wouldn't be at home in a small business artsy style yoga studio / coffee house rather than a more minimalist corporate styled one. If the person you are giving a spa experience to prefers new everything, new style- new cars, etc. Then this may not be the place for them. It's eclectic and home styled. This place is a home styled spa and more of a free spirited, energy work meets body work vibe, not a corporate designed place. The neck and face and head (TMJ focus for me) and reflexology foot massage I had from Sandy was great. She asked my pain points and i said my neck has been hurting and she was great with my neck and all of it. I liked the music playlist (ambient - no words of course) and the massage table was comfortable with a very soft blanket. There are cars on the main road outside passing by that you can hear and I heard that as a complaint but it didn't bother me personally. So if you are someone very easily disturbed by outside noise then this may not be the right place for you. If know that you are a bit more open minded (meaning not expecting a Starbucks / predictable type of corporate style spa) with your business and spa expectations that this may be a good place for you. If you want a more straight ahead, what you typically expect spa then maybe try a hotel spa down the street or Massage Envy type corporate chain place because it will likely be more of what you are after.

Please please please do people a favor and continue to add more pictures! I can't wait to see it. But please make sure it is ACTUAL pictures of what you have going on up there. You are one delusional person who obviously doesn't see things for what they are. We left in complete shock and I'll do my absolute best to make sure your "family" circus gets shut down and no more people are scammed like we were. Just received a message from a woman who went through the same thing as we did and she is definitely gonna help me put an end to it.

I was looking for an intimate setting for two and I got more than what I expected. Thank you for an amazing 58th, birthday gift for my partner in crime. Lol, he loved it! The experience surpassed my expectations.

I had an incredible experience at the Creative Chakra Spa. It was blocks from the beach and the whole facility was filled with good energy. The staff was kind and welcoming. As a new mom, I was feeling off balance, but after some chakra clearing and rejuvenation I felt about 10 lbs lighter and completely blissful. This is not just a spa. It's a healing experience that I highly recommend.

I made some last minute add-ons to the initial order and Lotus home was incredibly accomodating. Jana and her team work tirelessly to ensure a most zen and pampering experience. Couples massage: Jen and Jade were beyond professional and relatable. They first sat us down and asked if we'd had massages before, if there were any spots they should avoid or focus on. We had an actual conversation prior to the treatment and their delivery was spot on. I so appreciate how Jen and Jade allowed us to enjoy our massage in silence. And every so often, when I had a comment, they chimed in and laughed with my honey and I! Then back to silent enjoyment. Through the entire massage, I felt they were very present, engaging, professional, and kind. Couples facial: Amanda and Tamara were so knowledgeable and skilled in their craft! Every question that my sweetheart and I had regarding skincare, Amanda and Tamara answered. Personally, it can be a jarring experience for me, having someone work so closely to my face. But Tamara's energy was inviting and safe and she was so gentle! After the facial, Amanda and Tamara checked in with how my sweetheart and I were feeling and gave us privacy to slowly get ready for our next experience. Pool/Hot tub: Is there truly a better way to end the day than to soak in a hot tub with palm trees and cabanas? I think not. Part of the deal was a beverage tray and floating food tray. First, Jana knew that my sweetheart and I don't drink alcohol, so Jana prepared non-alcoholic champagne! This was a special treat for us, as normally, we simply deny the alcohol and swallow the cost (that's already included in the deal). It was incredibly thoughtful of Jana to have something else prepared for us to enjoy. Along with the non-alcoholic champagne, she prepared clarifying mint tea, coffee, and sparkling mineral water. So refreshing as we floated in bliss. Then came the food tray. Oh. My. Droooooool. Tiramisu birthday cake, the biggest raspberry macaron, a quarter pineapple artfully displayed in the shell, crisp green grapes, literally the best turkey/bacon sandwich, and a delectable grilled chicken salad. Y'all, literally every single bite was top-tier. To top off the surprise, turns out Jana is the masterchef behind this amazing spread! Everything she does is done with intention and the client's experience in mind. I was simultaneously blown away and deep in serenity. 10 out of 10 would recommend!

Although I've visited Burke Williams spas before, it was my first firm at this location…read more I scheduled a 35 min Relaxation massage and arrived about 2 hours prior to use the amenities. I have to admit that this location is the nicest one I've been to. It's spacious and very fresh and clean in all the different areas of the spa. They have a nice and relaxing waiting co-ed lounge where you can have some tea, juice, fruit infused water and fruit. The amenities are not co-ed. There is a jacuzzi, steam room, and sauna, and plenty of showers. Everything is kept very clean so that is very much appreciated. The staff were all very nice and helpful as well. They do validate parking for the parking structure that is within the Topanga Village (don't park in the outside 90 min parking, instead drive up into the structure towards Total Wines). I am definitely coming back to this location, even though there are several other Burke Williams locations closer to me.

Formal Customer Service Complaint -- September 12 Visit…read more I am writing to formally express my concern regarding the way my daughter and I were treated upon arriving at Burke Williams Woodland Hills on September 12th. We were there to celebrate my birthday with two of my best friends and were looking forward to a relaxing girls' spa day. Unfortunately, our experience at check-in was uncomfortable and disappointing. I want to clarify an important point: we were not late. We arrived approximately 15-20 minutes before our scheduled check-in time. Despite this, the blonde employee assisting me repeatedly told us that we were running late. When we arrived, a friendly brunette was assisting my daughter while the blonde employee checked me in. I provided my name, explained that we were there to celebrate my birthday, and gave the name of my best friend under whose reservation we were booked. After locating our reservation, the blonde employee stated that we were running behind schedule because we were late. I was surprised by this because we had arrived early. I was prepared to complete the check-in process promptly, but the repeated comments about being late immediately made the interaction uncomfortable. She requested my driver's license and then explained that a credit card was required on file. I explained that I wanted the charges placed on my card rather than my daughter's. After I handed over my credit card, she again stated, "Okay, you are running behind schedule. I need to finish your check-in." After processing my card, she placed it on the counter and slid it toward me rather than handing it back directly. She then asked me to sign a consent form on a digital screen. Because the print was very small and difficult to read, I politely asked if it could be enlarged. She sighed and told me she had a paper copy. She retrieved it from underneath the register and slid it toward me, again reiterating that we were behind schedule because we were late. She then told me that, because it was my birthday, I would receive an add-on. I asked what the options were because I wanted to understand what was being offered. She quickly went through them, but I was still unclear and asked for clarification. I felt that her demeanor indicated frustration with my questions. She ultimately told me that my masseuse could explain the options and that she would take me to the locker area. The contrast between the two employees was very noticeable. The brunette assisting my daughter was warm and welcoming. She wished me a happy birthday and told us to enjoy our spa day. Unfortunately, that welcoming attitude was not reflected in my interaction with the other employee. Before we reached the locker area, my two best friends saw us and came over to greet me and wish me a happy birthday. The blonde employee abruptly stated, "We don't have time for this. You are already running late. We need to get you into the locker room area." I found this especially upsetting because we were not late--we had arrived 15-20 minutes early. I was simply being greeted by the two friends with whom I had planned my birthday celebration. If there was a scheduling issue or discrepancy in the system, it should have been explained to us professionally rather than repeatedly telling us we were late. By the time we reached the locker area, what should have been an exciting and relaxing start to my birthday celebration had instead become stressful and uncomfortable. My daughter also noticed the employee's demeanor and independently expressed that she felt uncomfortable with the interaction. I am bringing this to management's attention because I believe this interaction warrants review. Repeatedly telling guests they are late when they have actually arrived early is inaccurate and unnecessarily creates a negative experience. I understand that Burke Williams has schedules to maintain, but scheduling concerns should be communicated with courtesy, accuracy, and professionalism. I chose Burke Williams expecting a premium spa experience. Guests should feel welcomed and respected from the moment they arrive, particularly when celebrating a special occasion. I respectfully ask management to review what occurred, including the discrepancy regarding our arrival time, and address the customer-service concerns described above. I would also appreciate a response explaining why we were repeatedly told that we were late when we had arrived approximately 15-20 minutes before our scheduled check-in time. I sincerely hope Burke Williams takes this feedback seriously and ensures that no other guest has a similar experience. Lastly, suggestion for group members in locker area: kindly assign lockers 10-15 slots away from one another so we are not all bunched together trying to place our items or sit in a crowded space. This would create a much more relaxed space.

1 Star -- Two Disappointing Experiences, Two Years Apart!…read more Unfortunately, this was my second terrible experience at Spa Day Organic Massage, and I will never return. I first visited about two years ago for a 60-minute massage. Before booking, I specifically requested an experienced therapist who could provide firm pressure because of my muscle tightness. I was assured they would take care of me. Unfortunately, the massage felt more like someone lightly rubbing oil on my back than a professional massage. After giving the therapist 15-20 minutes to improve, I asked for someone else. I was told nobody was available, so I left without finishing. Fast-forward to tonight. My boyfriend and I were looking for a couples massage and booked this place without realizing it was the same establishment. I recognized it when we arrived. My boyfriend encouraged me to give them another chance, thinking things might have improved. Unfortunately, the EXACT SAME THING happened again! When booking, I specifically requested someone experienced who could provide firm pressure. Once again, I was reassured. The therapist assigned to me barely applied any pressure. I repeatedly and politely asked her to go firmer, but nothing changed. She kept pressing her elbow into my back, including near my spine, which was uncomfortable. I asked her to use her hands or forearms instead. Due to a communication barrier, she misunderstood and started massaging my hands rather than using her hands to massage my back! I spent more time explaining myself than relaxing. Eventually, she offered to switch me to another therapist. I agreed, but after waiting approximately 10 minutes, the receptionist came in and said nobody else was available. I was ready to leave, but my boyfriend kindly offered to switch therapists because he was enjoying his massage and wanted me to have a better experience. Thankfully, Ani, his original therapist, was excellent! She was professional, understood my needs, and applied appropriate pressure without my having to explain anything repeatedly. She deserves recognition! Unfortunately, my boyfriend ended up having the same disappointing experience with my original therapist. He wasn't enjoying his massage but stayed so we could finish together. What was supposed to be a relaxing couples massage turned into a frustrating experience. When we explained everything at the front desk, the receptionist apologized but refused any adjustment or discount, even though we were happy to pay full price for Ani's service. What shocked me most was her explanation. She repeatedly stated that any discount would come out of HER OWN POCKET and that arranging another therapist would require her to personally pay both therapists. I found this extremely concerning. Why is the receptionist supposedly responsible for covering the cost of resolving a customer's complaint? Where is management? The pricing was also confusing. We were quoted different prices for cash versus credit card payments. When my boyfriend paid by card, our total came to approximately $198 for two 60-minute massages. We were told there was tax involved, which raised questions for me about how their service charges were calculated. More transparency would certainly be appreciated. Additionally, some photos on their business profile show amenities such as bathtubs and showers that did not match the room we were given. I also checked their Google reviews and noticed an overall rating of approximately 4.1 stars, with several recent positive reviews. Based on those reviews, I expected much better customer service. I understand experiences vary, but having similar problems twice, two years apart, is extremely disappointing. As a business owner myself, I understand that not every customer will be satisfied. However, what matters is how a business responds when something goes wrong. We were respectful, communicated our concerns, and gave them multiple opportunities to resolve the situation. We weren't asking for free services, just a reasonable adjustment for a massage that neither of us enjoyed. Ani deserves five stars for her professionalism, but the overall experience and customer service deserve one. Nearly $200 for a couples massage should leave both customers feeling relaxed, not frustrated and disappointed. I will not be returning and cannot recommend this establishment based on my experiences.

The interior was much more open than I was expecting (not visible from outside the suite/building) but the sauna and the ice bath room had fairly large windows. I didn't mind, myself, but if others were there it could cause concern if they wanted to be naked for their sessions. I had a great time in the cold plunge area, which was kept a little warm by the heat coming off of the unit used to cool the water. The tub was large enough for most people. I wish the water was a little bit deeper or the tub a bit taller, as I was lying on my back and had to use the back of my head and my toes to hold myself underwater, it was just a more awkward position than I'd have liked for cold plunges (I'd only ever done a cold plunge in a 50F swimming pool, so being in a comparably smaller tub was new).
