My husband and I were in Casa Grande on business and stopped for lunch because this place got 4 1/2 stars on Trip Advisor. I ordered the Chinese Chicken Salad and my husband ordered the Western Burger. The food came fairly quickly. The salad could have had fresher ingredients. Most of it looked a little on the old side. The rice noodles were inedible and the chicken lacked flavor, but the dressing was good. My husband shared his onion rings with me and they were the best part of my meal. He said his burger lacked flavor as well as the bacon, but his fries were good. The service was good, and we love the business model of helping to provide jobs for the mentally disabled. However, we wouldn't try it again. Our bill with tip was $33, a little high for lunch with average food. read more

Perhaps my favorite place to go for lunch. Very friendly. We ordered the chips and salsa. The chips were freshly cooked and very good. We ordered The raspberry salad and a special of the day a Cajun shrimp salad. Both were wonderful. The French fries were some of the best I have ever had. Can't wait to go back again read more

Excellent dinner with friends last Wednesday. The dover sole stuffed with crab, scallops and lobster was fabulous. Others had the soup, hummus and pita, salmon and burgers. We have been there for lunch but not for dinner but will go back again for prime rib on Friday. read more

This I the second time I have eaten here while on vacation. Both experiences were great. I would recommend whatever the soup of the day is to start. My first visit was cream of asparagus and my most recent was New England clam chowder and both were delicious. Entrees are always sufficient. On my last visit our server recommended the coconut cream pie which is a 5 star by itself! read more

Not only is the food great, but the staff are friendly and the service is excellent. The mushroom soup is the best, but so is the tomato-basil soup, or the chicken tortilla soup,or any other they make there. And the salads, the sandwiches, the burgers, the dinner entrees...... It is the best place to eat in Casa Grande. After all this being said, the best part is the atmosphere, Challenged young people are trained and placed by this corporation Several actually work in this restaurant, which has a total and complete atmosphere. They do not open weekends or holidays, and the staff are "family", not just employees. We only see them during our Arizona winters, they treat us like family, too. We would recommend not any "winter Arizonian" leave town without a visit to this wonderful place. We believe that after one visit, you'll be hooked. read more

Driving my niece and nephew to Tucson yesterday and decided to stop in Casa Grande for lunch. Since these kiddos don't like McDonald's I thought we might try something local and found Creative Cafe. The food was really good. Everything seemed homemade, the service was friendly and efficient, and the prices reasonable. I really loved their mission as well - and that was the bonus for me. Ever dish We have had there is so good, the service is friendly and fast.I had a order to go and while I was waiting I was asked by 3 different employees if I had been helped,It is so refreshing to go to a place of business and have good service, take note other business owners,This is how to run a business. Every time I go there it is busy, but you never have to wait long. The only thing that can be frustrating is that the parking, it also is always crowded.But it is worth a little walk. Was here previously and reallly loved it. The food was great, and the staff was very attentive. Came in today. was seated. Asked the hostess for a glass of water. Waited over 10 minutes, never got water, or even a server. I left. Meanwhile the hostess was at the register talking with a friend of hers. Sad, the service has gone downhill. read more

I keep forgetting about this place. I had heard so many good things about it but due to the fact that it is not on the main road running through town I would forget about it. So finally the other day my girlfriend and I were getting our haircut next door and thought that we would give it a try. What a great place. The staff was very nice and really on top of things. I had the Club sandwhich. It was your typical triple decker club (turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato and mayo on wheat bread). It was very tasty. With that I had the sweet potato wedges, also very good. My girlfriend had the BLT. She said it was OK. There is really nothing special about any BLT that I have ever had so I guess "OK" means it was good. What these owners have done is awesome. Working with special needs people is something that I could never do. I am not a patient person but these people must be angels. Keep up the good work. read more

Met friends for lunch. Great half way between Phoenix and Tucson. 5 adults and 2 kids. Wait staff terrific but the food was excellent. 2 of us had chicken artichoke wrap, one with yummy onion rings and the other a Greek salad. Delish. Kids pizza fresh and delicious. Great fresh food and a superb staff and ownership make this a staple in the Casa Grande area. With a spanning menu, you can order anything from a burger to a wrap to pizza to a full dinner item. My husband and I tried this place for the first time Monday. After reading other reviews, we decided to get there early (11:20) as they said it gets really busy after 11:30 with the lunch crowd. Even having only a handful of people there, it did take a while for our meals to come, so don't go when you are in a rush. We each had a burger. (Western and Mushroom) Both came out a little well done for medium rare. My roll seemed a little stale, but my husbands was fine. Both the french fries and onion rings were pipping hot. We did have great/attentive service from the "handicapped" staff, but the waitress who actually takes the order and handles the money---not so much. The place is spotless which was really nice. I've been eating here off and on for the last six months or so and have had a chance to sample most of the items on the menu. I've never had a bad meal here and the service has always been exceptional. I treat the staff with respect and in return they do the same for me. I love eating out alone and I used to do it a lot when I lived in Massachusetts. Now that I live in Casa Grande, which has far fewer dining options, I find that my desire to eat out alone or with someone else for that matter has become limited. Creative Cafe is one of the few, if not the only place I really like to go and veg out with a book or some other light reading while eating lunch. The staff is absolutely great, the same people have worked there forever, which really tells you something about the establishment. It functions like a respectful, happy family. I've never called the atmosphere of any restaurant heartwarming before, but in this case that is the best descriptor I can find. I will say that for me, great service can excuse mediocre food, but in the case of Creative Cafe, both the food an the service are consistent, reliable, and get my two thumbs up! I just wish they offered breakfast! Their extended hours in the fall and winter are perfect when I have had a long day. read more
