I liked that she offered a lot of customizable options. She communicated every step of the way and as a bride, I felt confident heading into the wedding day. Our package came with beach setup, an officiant, a musician, a photographer, and Helen's guidance. All of her vendors were perfect. We got our photos in just days and the photographer got a lot of great photos (attaching some of my favorites). The price for the wedding package was also very reasonable. If you're looking to get married on the beach- I definitely recommend Coronado Beach Weddings!

    Planning a wedding should be a joyful and exciting experience -- unfortunately, working with this…read morecoordinator brought unnecessary stress, confusion, and disappointment to what should have been one of the happiest days of our lives. From the start, communication was unclear and frustrating. We struggled to get a concise explanation of what services were included and what we were actually paying for. It wasn't until we explicitly referenced California's SB 478 transparency laws that we finally received a proper breakdown of costs -- which then led to a pricing adjustment. But even after that, just two weeks before the wedding, we were shocked to receive a final payment notice that was more than double our last agreed-upon price. When we questioned it, the coordinator backtracked on previous conversations and insisted on her standard pricing, completely disregarding the confusion we had already worked to clarify. For someone claiming 34 years of experience, I expected significantly better communication, transparency, and flexibility. Customizing a wedding package should not be this difficult or disorganized. The wedding day itself only compounded our frustrations. One of our most anticipated moments -- the "first look" as I walked down the aisle with my dad -- was completely mishandled. Due to poor schedule management, my husband saw me before the ceremony even began. From there, things didn't improve. Directions were unclear, organization was lacking, and important details were overlooked -- like the designated place for bridesmaids' belongings, which was only provided after the ceremony, despite us asking about it beforehand. Our contract also stated that she would have an assistant to help on the day of the wedding -- she did not. This absence absolutely impacted the flow and coordination of events throughout the day. To give credit where it's due, the flowers were beautiful -- especially my bridal bouquet, which turned out exactly as I had hoped. It was one of the few things that went right and added a special touch to the day. The only other silver lining was the photographer she worked with. He was kind, professional, and captured some beautiful photos. Unfortunately, several of our special moments include Helen in the background -- an unfortunate reminder of the overall disappointment. If you plan to use her as your wedding coordinator, I highly suggest reading through your contract with a fine-tooth comb and making sure you have an exact outline of pricing and services. Don't assume anything will be taken care of unless it's clearly written and confirmed -- multiple times.

She was incredibly helpful during the planning process--offering thoughtful insight into creating a seamless timeline and even helping with ideas for decor and place settings tailored to our outdoor, beachy (and occasionally windy!) wedding. She thought of every detail, from preparing us in advance to get those dreamy photos (like the first kiss and cake cutting) to ensuring everything ran on schedule without a hitch. On the day, Elena was a true lifesaver. From the rehearsal to the ceremony and reception, I never once had to worry about where I needed to be or what was next. She kept everything moving smoothly, pointing me in the right direction while allowing me to fully enjoy the company of our guests and the magic of the day. I booked her early and we initially just did a couple meetings to discuss our vision and needs regarding coordination, vendor contracts and florals since we did not need a full-planning service, only partial. She was always upfront and gave me honest opinions especially when it came to where to splurge and save, and what could look good and what wouldn't. The last 2 months is where she really shined, helping us follow up with vendors on details, setting deadlines for me to book rentals, reviewing contracts and constantly doing sanity checks when I needed it. The day of, she came extremely prepared, everything flowed smoothly (except some technical issues on part of the venue) and she was great at going with the flow and just letting the vibe and natural mood of the day go, and fixing whatever problems I threw at her. We also had her as our florist and she truly out did herself- her prices were incredibly reasonable and she handled everything like a champ when her assistant got sick the day of the reception. She also took my back and forth floral design suggestions and changes very well, as I am quite particular on details in some areas and deferred to her expertise in others. Instead of apologizing and moving on, the TLC team cut the floral noodles off and attached them to a wooden arch provided by the venue, all while I continued to live my stress free life of getting pampered. On top of that, Kirin's team ensured everything ran smoothly--from paying vendors and sticking to the timeline to keeping us fed, hydrated, and stress-free. The dinner was buffet style, so we were able to come back for seconds if we wanted to. There were two attendants carving roast beef for the guests, some salmon, garden salad, green beans, mashed potatoes, and bread rolls. I really liked the roast beef and au jus sauce they had on hand. I also enjoyed the baked bread rolls as well- they were so soft and fresh! Everything else I tried was just okay to me. As for the bar, they were only able to make simple cocktails, so don't expect too much from the bartenders. He just ordered a lemon drop and a Greyhound himself, which he liked. Overall, the wedding was beautiful and the venue was spacious. I also liked that that they had main courses in a different room, so there was more space for guests/entertainment in the main area.
