Established in 2014.
Yoga isn't about forcing shapes; it’s about learning how to move in a way that supports your body. Our experienced teachers offer challenging yet adaptable practices, helping you develop a deeper understanding of movement and build sustainable strength.
To truly experience the benefits of yoga, consistency is key. Practicing at least twice per week helps you build strength, improve mobility, and reduce pain from daily movement habits. Our functional movement-focused yoga classes are designed to help you move with ease - both on and off the mat.
Wherever you are in your yoga journey, we’re here to support you. Join us and discover how a consistent practice can help you feel stronger, more mobile, and more at home in your body.
Meet the Business Owner: Petra L.
Petra and her husband, Billy, founded Create Power Yoga in 2014, after an unexpected life-change and a realization that it was now-or-never. Petra's former career included community-building as a programming director for non-profits, and she saw in a yoga studio the opportunity to build connection and family within a yoga practice. When she created Create Power Yoga, her mission was to create a community that would have a life of its own, in and out of yoga classes. Her focus in her classes, and in running her business, is for students to feel safe, connected, welcomed, and powerful.
Petra is an 200-E-ryt Yoga Alliance instructor, certified by Wild Abundant Life / Midwest Power Yoga, and trained in the Live Love Teach® methodology with original co-founder, Deborah Williamson. Petra was mentored by Terry Munnelly, Phillip Urso, and Renee Delauries of RI Power Yoga. She is now beginning her RYT-500 certification with Stacy Dockins, author of Embodied Posture,
