They have an incredible selection of notebooks and notepads from international brands. They do offer fountain pens and inks, but you would probably have better luck with a specialty store such as stylo or wonderpens. The store is a beautiful, and the staff is extremely knowledgeable. I've almost exclusively bought my paper goods and notebooks from Nota Bene over the years and the service has always been impeccable. Their prices are slightly higher than what you might find online, but it's reasonable due to their overhead. This is a great stationery store, and you are sure to find something you like! Pro tip: If you are looking for a GREAT notebook, check out the notebooks by Midori. They are Japanese, fountain pen friendly, and really feel really nice in the hand. It will run you about $15, but it's well worth it!

That's really a shame, because the two very friendly brothers who manage this store -- Arsak and Sahan -- are more than eager to help you no matter the size of your purchase, whether it be an armful of office supplies or just a single greeting card. What's more, this small shop is not just a stationery store with competitive prices, but a well-oiled print shop that is dedicated to handling your printing needs -- whether you have a quire, ream or bundle of pages to print -- and also does some professional binding work. They also let their regular customers, who they get to know by name, email them any files that need printing, and have them ready same day, if not less than an hour later if they're not swamped with other orders. I'm absolutely hooked on their very affordable email-and-print service, and have not bought overpriced ink for my office inkjet printer in almost two years! If it needs to be printed, I send it to them knowing full well they'll catch all my crazy requests (two copies recto-verso, one three-hole-punched copy, and two copies printed on goldenrod paper) and get everything right. If you're a pen geek, this tiny NDG shop is also worth the visit, as they have an incredible selection of pens, rollerballs and roller gel pens, including some very cool Stabilo and Uni-ball pens that have become my goto, all-purpose pens. I hate big box stores and treasure the personal service that the brothers provide.They go out of their way and run an excellent business. It is well- managed and well-stocked with the essentials for just about anything for stationary needs and some artwork as well. Last year I had certificates made for an awards ceremony and Sahan did a superlative ,aesthetically beautiful job where I could not have been more pleased and were a big hit at the ceremony with people asking me where I had them done. As an extra bonus we have had wonderful conversations about history and art,as these two brothers are well-educated and worldly.What more could you ask for? I scored a 1000 piece puzzle for 4$!! The first floor is mainly kitchen stuff, stationary, CDS/DVDS, and the hottest books of the moment. The second floor is adult books. The third floor is toys and kids books. I don't read much in French, so I often skip the second floor. But the third floor is so fascinating. They have so many puzzles and new board games, I love browsing. They have a tiny section of YA books in english, it will mostly be the popular titles. I love it here. It's so cozy and inviting. I wish they had some small areas where you could sit and enjoy basking in the glory of their products, but I probably wouldn't buy anything if that was the case. It is next to a Starbucks so once you've bought something, you can go grab a coffee and start reading!

The exchange was refused, even though the item was unused and the request was reasonable. What was most upsetting was the rude and dismissive attitude of the staff when I calmly explained the situation. I understand store policies, but customer service should also include courtesy and basic understanding. Given the circumstances, I believe some form of compensation (such as a store credit or exception exchange) would be appropriate to acknowledge the poor customer experience.

Dollarama school supplies are too cheaply made and Jean coutu sells almost the same product but at unreasonable prices. Bureau en gros only has sales in September for back to school, otherwise everything is full price and not worth it since you can get it here for less.
