I don't feel unsafe at all. Rather, it is convenient for the residents nearby and stop and go in addition to being a 20 min walk for me. The location makes it more likely to be open on a Saturday. The staff person I worked with was friendly and helped me through the process to tell me that what I had shipped is okay since it is within the same country and that it is okay and proper for me to use my hotel as an address for return. The price was what I had expected based on my own research. It was a good experience and I was lucky that the rare occasion I go to Canada is the time I need to ship out a package in Canada. It was a good work out in double layers with -13 F weather. 20 min walk. Some of the locals are wearing a lot less than me and seem fine but some are just outside quickly and then back in a car immediately. Maybe I should see if I can find anyone in shorts? Lol.

My daughter wanted to design a t-shirt and - not knowing anything about how to do this - I just googled "montreal t-shirt printing". Several options popped up but In Print seemed like a particularly high quality place. I emailed the shop and explained my daughter's ambition (and my absolute lack of knowledge regarding what I was doing) and the owner, Alex, responded to me in such a genuinely nice manner and offered to guide us through the process. It was such a touching level of customer care. We did some back and forth in terms of my daughter's design and he helped us figure out "what would work" given their printing process (and he took the time to explain everything to us in a simple manner). Then, we visited his shop (before the shirts were printed) so that my daughter could SEE how the process works. Alex and his crew were so generous in showing her around and they even let her do a tiny bit of one task (cleaning a "printing tray" once a design run is finished - I'm sure that I'm butchering terminology here). My daughter felt so good and so encouraged by this. Finally, we ordered a batch shirts (which my daughter will be selling for charity). That part of the transaction went super smoothly and In Print even was able to get our favorite shirt brand for printing (Bella & Canvas). Every step of the experience was amazing and I simply can't believe how amazing Alex and the In Print team were. They kept overdelivering in a very caring manner. I needed passport photos with digital copies on the double, so I started mapping nearby shops. Out…read moreof the six places I called, only three bothered to pick up the phone; and of those three, Acco Photo had the lowest prices. This was not a "you get what you pay for" situation. As their website states, "you are so welcomed to our store." I walked into their clean, naturally lit space and was immediately greeted by Annie and her husband (As in, they stopped what they were doing, walk towards the counter, had genuine smiles on their faces, and said "hi."). If their old-school customer service wasn't enough to keep me there, their mounted certifications would've been ample. As a photographer, Annie was quick on the draw. She made sure to snap enough picks to have something decent to choose from; and they cleaned up my best shot without Gabourey Sidibe-ing me. 'Nough said. As a professional photo and multimedia studio, Acco Photo still shows that the small stuff is a priority by hanging a large map that displays the 288 countries whose passport specs they follow. They're multi-lingual (English, French, and Chinese...but they may have more up their sleeve), fast, knowledgable, and a place I'd definitely give my money to again.
