We had seen this truck parked here all week, but this night was the night I would commit to trying it, and I am happy I did. I can't even remember the name of the sandwich I got, but I know it contained three meats and that was enough to this carnivore to get it. The sandwich was delicious, it hit the spot, just what I needed at 3:30 in the morning, I highly recommend you try them no matter what time of the day you get the craving. BTW, the location on Yelp is wrong, or they have a second truck.

Man, this seems so far away now! A cruise we took in March, just before all the Covid madness blew…read moreup, took us to PR. Our first night there, we only wanted a casual bite. So we found this food truck not far down the street from the DoubleTree. Their menu was not that hard to understand even for non-Spanish speakers for the most part, but then when it comes to something novel ("What is a fongo?"), the lack of an explanation and choppy English-language skills might not help very much. So after a bit of pointing and gesticulating, we ended with an artisanal burger and some fongos pollo. The food was OK - freshly prepared and quite substantial. For my taste, it relied a bit much on grease and mayonnaise. Still a decent taste of local fare - or IS it considered authentic local fare? Apparently, they are pretty big for a food truck - 5 or 6 different locations at least, depending on which truck you want!

I believe this is Puerto Rico's only true beer garden, or at least one of the few. Most that…read moreadvertise themselves as beer gardens (or biergartens) are indoors, thus disqualifying them from being beer gardens. La Esquinita is all outdoors. It is located in Downtown Bayamón. Plenty of street parking available. They don't brew their own beer but they have a variety of excellent beer on tap and in bottles/cans. They have a bit of everything, mostly craft beers (local and imported). Although, they do have a few commercial beers for those weirdos. I am not sure if they make their own food or if they pair with guest businesses... or both. All I can say is from my experience when I went, they had food from Smoke 'Em All BBQ Team. I'd have to return to confirm. And return, I will. This place is the best. I had this place bookmarked for quite a while. I'm glad I chose Saturday to finally make it out. They were having an Oktoberfest celebration with live music from a band called Beans Polka. Not sure of they regularly have live music, it the band was awesome. A good mix of rock with Bavarian style music. Lots of fun. It was a packed house. There was a long line to order food and drinks, but it moved smoothly. The staff was working hard and were awesome. The food was very good. I really liked the Butifarra Sausage with bacon Kimchi, as well as the garlic parmesan fries. What makes this place rock, though, is the vibe (as well as the excellent beer). Great atmposphe. Family friendly so bring the kids. They will have fun. There is a projector that screens live sports. I am definitely returning. Only bummer is that they don't open on Sunday, so Saturday is the only day I can make it out since I work during the week.

Soft rock during the day and rock to metal during the night. Once COVID us done they'll bring back the live bass which I'm sure I'll love.
