I have taken our Shepherd to Jasper's for both boarding and a two-week training. Our dog was a…read morehorrible walker, and had us worried because he would encounter other dogs on the walk and become very difficult to manage. He is a strong 100lb dog! He just pulled us along and was very unenjoyable to work with. The final straw was when he went after a rabbit and pulled my wife down, hurting her back. The two week training was very effective and we couldn't be more happy with the results! When we went to pick our dog up after the two weeks, Damien asked if the whole family could be there. He ensured each of us could walk our dog and use the necessary corrections. The kids were able to walk him, even past other dogs! I was super impressed. Damien took time to teach us how to effectively reinforce the training once we are at home, then made sure we could do it. He not only trained our dog, but trained us too. This is day 3 of being home and our dog is still very well behaved and has not reverted back to his old ways! He had his longest walk today, past the same neighborhood dogs as before and was amazing! Very happy with the results! It's a 45 minute drive, and there are other training/kennels that are closer to home, but I won't be going anywhere else. I will recommend Jasper's to anyone that is looking for knowledgeable folks that will care for your dog.

They had walks and playtime. My house was clean when I returned and really the whole process was seamless and affordable. This was my first time having someone stay at my house rather than bring Joy elsewhere and I loved that she got to stay home the whole time where she is most comfortable. It's also nice when you're away to know there is someone looking after your home. Plants watered, mail taken in, trash brought out on time. When I tried to call to discuss extending the certificate the owner was not available to answer my several texts and emails for over a week. When she finally returned my email she would not extend the certificate even though my dates were flexible. She also said she didn't think it was a good idea to board my elderly dog at all.
