We love this RV campground. It provides every amenity needed and the staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. I love bicycling and the popular loop biking trail is just a quarter of a mile from the RV park. We stay here almost every winter and always look forward to coming back. read more

My wife and I just completed a 20+ day stay at Crazy Horse RV Park in Tucson, AZ! I did not due my due diligence when I picked this park for our AZ stay; I now wish I had! The park has a very friendly staff, great big laundry and shower rooms. We found the park a bit worn but not trashed up. We found the staff attentive when we had questions. They were also willing to reach out to the owner when they were unable to provide an answer. All in all, our stay was somewhat positive due to the park being cost affective. The park itself is very basic, once we arrived, I realized I had not done my usual research and was somewhat underwhelmed! The first disappointment was the complete lack of Wi-Fi available at our site. There were clear instructions on the parks information sheet that detailed the correct process to follow if we had difficulty logging on. The troubleshooting process was cumbersome and the final result after ten days of trying to rectify the problem was a complete stay with "NO" Wi-Fi. Via the park's instructions, I had to call the park's Internet Provider which took a day to receive a call back. The provider's representative told me that the park's router that was to provide a signal to our location in the park was inoperative and I would have to call the park's staff. I did that and was told it would be checked later that day. Two days later I called again and was told I would have to speak to the owner. A day later the owner called me and told me that he would personally look into the router and call me by 3:00pm that afternoon. I called the office at 4:30pm when I did not hear back from the owner and was told he would call me in the morning. Two days later I called again, again no call back from the owner. At this time, we are now almost ten days into our stay and I gave up. If you are a dog/pet owner this is your park! We are not pet owners so this also made our stay uncomfortable. I had to ask our neighbor who had his pet on a 30' line to please keep his dog on his side of his RV. His pet was tied to his door rail and had enough line to come all the way around his RV onto our lot and up to our picnic table. Of the 20+ days we stayed at the park there was only one morning that I was not awakened early (before 7:00am) by barking dogs and only two nights that I was not awakened between 11:00pm and midnight, again by barking dogs. The park is also not in the best area of Tucson which might have also impacted the higher level of barking. Our spot in the park was near the street which most likely added to the noise level. If you are considering staying at Crazy Horse you might be wise to ask for a location deeper into the park. Knowing what I know now I would have definitely asked for a location on the total opposite side of the park. We did like the spot we were in that placed us under the park's solar panels. This provided a roof over our location which did not completely shield us from the weather but did offer some protection. I would think these spaces would be a must if one is planning a summertime stay. I wish it wasn't so, but our negatives experiences outweighed our positives with regard to our stay. If I had done better research some of these deficiencies might have come to light before we made our reservation and we might have chosen not to stay at the park. The solar panel roof option was a plus, the friendly staff was a plus as well as the restrooms and the big laundry. The pet hair in the laundry was a bit of a disappointment but not a deal breaker. We had to search for a washer and dryer that DID Not require us to clean out the pet hair before we used the machines. The rather large number of dogs all around us was a real pain as was the advertising of the nonexistent Wi-Fi service. I would most likely have taken the lack of Wi-Fi in stride if I had not been told to expect a "call-back" from the owner. If I am told to expect a call, I will expect a call, that is just common courtesy! If you are a pet owner and do not mind a higher-than-normal noise ratio, if you are not looking for a resort vibe, and you are looking for a good low rate with no Wi-Fi this is your place. If you are expecting a bit more and you need Wi-Fi, you may wish to look down the road. read more

I stayed in the solar panel covered spot for over a year. It's 805 per month plus electric. When it's said and done it's well over $1000 to stay here I think that a lot of money to live in an rv but the lady at the front desk doesn't think so. This gives you a very narrow spot, all gravel, surrounded on desert on three sides so it's VERY dusty. No AC in the laundry so in the summer it's unbearable to do laundry and $2.00 for wash and $2.00 to dry in the regular size machines. No dog park. There is a pool but it's small. You can get your mail, they will complain at the office if it weighs too much though. And, the moment I was thinking of moving somewhere else they filled my spot, didn't give me any time to make sure my other accommodations were going to be ok. Thank God they were. read more

The campground workers are very nice and friendly. The campground is well maintained. Bathrooms were clean. A free Thanksgiving, pizza and Christmas dinner was provided by the campground. We stayed there two months, November and December, and given the opportunity I would stay there again. read more

Looks nothing like the web site. All sites are so close there is no room for chair let alone a picnic table. It is in a very unsafe and trashy neighborhood and the campground is pretty trashy as well. We had a reservation for a week and after one night of sirens and gunshots for our safety we said we were leaving early and would like a refund for the 6 days and was told since we pre paid there would be no refund. This place deserves no stars. There are many very nice campgrounds in the Tucson area. read more

We chose to stay here for location but most importantly for a shower. The bath houses were horrible they needed repairs from shower heads to receptacles not to mention no doors on the buildings. The weather turned cold and my husband and I were unable to stand the cold and wind blowing thru these buildings. read more

We are full-time RV'ers who came to Tucson for the winter. We rolled into town without a reservation. We found the Crazy Horse on the internet, and we're pleased with the location and the rates. We were happy they had a spot available for two weeks. The rates were good and they were located within a 10-30 minute drive to anywhere we wanted to go. Our site was level and had enough space for us to feel comfortable. The park itself is so quiet and serene. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We loved that we were able to receive mail here and fill up our propane tank at a reasonable price. The park is located within walking distance to the gas station, a Dollar General , and a food truck with really good Mexican food. There is a walking trail alongside the park where we walked our dogs, which offers spectacular views of the mountains. Overall, we were very happy with our stay here, and would stay again! read more

The campground host Ben, Amy and the rest of the office staff are very friendly and accommodating for whatever you need. The park has very nice laundry facilities, lots of washing machines and dryers, (takes quarters). Lots of friendly neighbors. They have coffee & donuts, M-F. Taco Tuesday yummy. Pizza, Friday night dinners and Saturday breakfast, (for a small cost) Many chances to meet your fellow RV'ers. We stayed for the month of December. We will stay here again on our way through Arizona. Less than a quarter mile to 'The Loop'. A very nice paved bike trail. It will take you to the Pima Air & Space Museum. We rode our bikes there. And it will take you right into Tucson for shopping and food. We truly enjoyed it here. read more

My husband and I stayed at this park for 2 weeks in late February. At first we were a little disappointed: the park is not much to look at and the sites are way too close together. I mean, if we wanted to sit outside we were basically right below our neighbor's kitchen window! The park has been there since the 1960's and RVs have gotten much larger in that time. It is very convenient to I-10 but still is a pretty good drive to most of the things you would need, like the grocery store. I'm surprised that some people were turned away because of their rigs, because there were many older, tacky, decrepit trailers parking there. They also have a 50 pound limit on the size of your dog, but we saw several dogs that violated this rule. It appears that there are lots of people living here who work in the area. As the time went by, we began to see the good things about this park: It is really close to Tuscon's bike trail, known as The Loop. You can ride right over to a trailhead to get started riding or walking. There is a nice area adjacent to the park to walk your dog. The people who run the campground are wonderful, so helpful and friendly! The laundry is clean and there are lots of washers and dryers. The restrooms are clean and nice. They serve dinner several evenings a week and breakfast on Saturday for a nominal price ($5-$6). Some of those evenings include entertainment, like movies, bingo, karaoke, etc. It was too cool to use the pool, but it looked very nice and it is heated. Propane is also located on site. One person mentioned the outdated electrical system. They were actually upgrading the system while we were there. They were also installing several dog stations around the park, with bags and a trash can. The wifi was no better or worse than any other RV park where we have stayed. RV parks generally do not have good wifi. All in all, we ended up enjoying ourselves and we met a lot of really nice people. read more

Tried a few other parks over the years, but Crazy Horse turned out to be just the right mix for us. Jodie was very accommodating and friendly. The site and the rest of the park were always kept clean. Restrooms were good and cleaned nightly. Pizza night, coffee and donuts in the mornings, and other activities most nights. We loved the large solar covered parking spots! The neighborhood is kinda sketchy but we felt safe in the park and did not worry about our things disappearing. She bath house was very clean and the water was hot! It was extra convenient being near the Pilot truck stop, Cinnabon was an easy breakfast stop for us! Rates are totally worth it! read more

Stay here for a week during the Davis-Monthan air show. Great spot for viewing the show. The staff was fantastic. When I left I forgot my sewer elbow and the staff was considerate enough to call to inform me of my booboo. I was really appreciative of their honesty. Great place. Highly recommend. read more

This place is a shithole, plain and simple. It is located in the trashiest part of Tucson where homeless people wander throughout the RV park and the staff provides no security whatsoever. Furthermore, despite the best efforts of their cleaning person, the showers smell like pee and the toilets often have crap in/around them. The place was built in the early 60's and many of the sites have sewer problems which causes spontaneous overflows right next to people's living quarters. I stayed three months at a site with no sewer, no cable, and no wireless accessibility. The staff took a hard stance that those are "amenities" and not what you are paying for. The rent only covers the gravel parking spot, that's it. Everything else provided should be considered a luxury, or added benefit. read more

We were coming back from Texas to California on an RV and needed a place to stay for one night only. It was our first time traveling on an RV and we are new to everything. So we booked this place over the phone and the lady was super nice. The day of our check in she called us just to confirm if we are arriving before 5pm because the office is closing at that time. She explained everything how to check in during after hours and it was fairly easy. When we got there, it was not dark yet, but you can tell that the area does not look too safe. The park itself was okay. It was a bit dark in there and it was packed. The parking lots are quite tight and you are very close to other vehicles, which we did not like. It seems like you cannot have some privacy, compare to other RV parks we stayed at. We had our dog with us and when we took him for a quick walk before going to sleep, there were people walking their dogs and they were off the leash. However, there is no security or anyone there who can make sure that the guests are following the rules. Would not stay there again, unfortunately. read more

Since I am no longer a resident of the campground i can now speak my mind of this place do not trust the owner he will lie and be manipulative he said we trashed his 40k laundry room when we did no such thing he also made us paint our car 2 separate times and let other people have 3 colors on their cars he will also charge you for a 2nd vehicle and will also put in bogus complaints he threw us out for hurting his feelings and also thew out other people for petty and small things there are dogs at the campground that are over the 50 pound limit the pictures are of the mens restroom and when it rains the hole always appears also maintenance is never doing any thing and there are homeless people that can gain access to the grounds at any time the bathrooms always smell sometimes the toilets are not flushed and they will charge for anything they can they did not remove a past roommate for 2 months and over charged me 80 dollars they did credit me the 80 dollars but the owner thought I skipped out on the power bill the last 2 pictures are of the floor in the bathrooms when someone showers and are of my previous reviews I don't recommend this place to anyone at all also we had power outages and the sewer on our row was out along with the water lines bursting as well stay away find a park that is better kept up and a owner who cares for people and not money the images are on my google review i deleted the images off my phone before hand sorry read more

This is a great R V park for pet owners because you can walk your pets to adjoining acreage and let them run. It's very reasonable by the week ($180 per week) or by the month $300 per month. The showers and laundry are just fine. There aren't really any other great amenities. There is a "rec hall" where they have bingo games, etc. and a pool, but we always go there in Feb for the Tucson Gem and mineral show so the pool we never use. We go there mainly because our pets can chase rabbits and wear themselves out every morning and evening. Don't worry. There isn't a chance that they will ever catch a rabbit. This place is a dump. It is small, it is dirty, it isn't well maintained, it's very old, and needs serious work. It's in a sketchy part of town, is tight to drive around in, we only had 30 amp service, and it was too muddy all around the place to take your dog for a walk. Keep looking! read more

This is an old RV park. The electicl system needs work. We were in site 53 and the 30 amp breaker would trip at less than 25 amps. Breakers are most likely weak from years of use as a switch. Also, we didn't have a cable hookup at the site. The site was very tight, could not put out the awing as we would have hit the unit next to us. read more

In the far East of Tucson and really run down, we had to stay here because of family emergency but don't think we will be back. They have the nerve to charge $30.50 and the website says $26-28. I guess I shouldn't complain they had electric, water and sewer but I would not even have the courage to look at the shower area...what they call the rec. area is a small outdoor pool surrounded by a chain link fence about 25 years old, the pool and I use that term very loosely, needs repair. read more

They put us in a no pet row knowing we had a dog but didn't tell us they offered the space to us for a week but we wernt sure how long we wanted to stay so we.only payed for 2 days never once said we'd have to move if we decided to stay longer then 2 days so when we decided to stay another night the Guy says no you have to move I put you in a no pet row and people are complaining well our dog doesn't bark ever and lives in our coach .......the huge crappy rusty beat up bus behind us back into our satellite dish and knocked it over spaces are tight not a lot of space and don't want to stay a week you'll have to move in the middle of it?? Traveling from Texas to California we were exhausted and in need of sleep. We called this park around 11am with an expected arrival around 3pm. The machine explained they were out readying themselves for Labor Day festivities but would call right back! I waited, and waited and then..... We drove happily right by it. A nice unassuming place,unpretentious and fairly affordable. Level gravel sides with a bit of foliage. Picnic tables are a little scarce but they kindly provided us with one when we asked. No cable at the moment though they said they are working on providing it. The restrooms are at a bit of a distance but quite decent. I was amused by a sign in the ladies room strictly for bidding the use of Hair dye! Apparently the previous visitor made a tremendous mess covering her gray? We had a horrible at this park. Why Good Sam Club gives them a rating of 9/9/9-1/2 is beyond me? I would give them a 6 at best!! We stayed a 1 1/2 months just because my husband had paid in advance. I would not recommend this park to anyone!! We had a lady next store to us in a travel trailer who had 5 dogs that constantly barked. She worked nights from 10p till 8a the next morning. The minute she left all 5 of them would bark and howl and she would leave a window open! I wasn't getting any sleep and after a week went the the Office to complain. Sorry I ever set foot in there!! The guy behind the counter appeared to be in his late thirties with no manners at all! He didn't want to hear me complain and after a few minutes he told me to get the F out of his office! Then told me to F off!! I tried to shut door quickly to get out of there and he followed me out opening the door, yelling I hit him in the face with the door. (which I did Not!) Said he was gonna call the police on me! For what? I told him go ahead, I would like to talk to them as well! Told him I wanted to talk to the manager, he said he was the manager. So I said I wanted to talk to the owner and he said he was the owner. Really! I guess he can treat you how ever he feels like treating you! Told him I was calling Good Sam Club to complain and he said they wouldn't do anything! Stay away from this place is is not nice!! So we are a family of five and we had a house fire so we needed a place to stay for a little while and we want to place it was close to work. Well we found Crazyhorse RV it wasn't too far from work and obviously doesn't look very good from the outside and to be honest with you it looks as bad as it is. We chose to stay there for one month hoping that our house might be done and decided to leave two weeks early because we decided to take a trip to California. So we only stayed there for two weeks. So we went back up to the office to ask them if we could maybe get some of our money back and we were told know that we couldn't get any of our money back because we had already paid for it. Just to let you know the two weeks that we did stay there the cops came two different times , for who knows what, which made it very difficult for me to let my kids out and play anywhere. The pool broke on us for two days straight so we had nothing to do those days. Truly because there is nothing to do there! On their website they lie to you and say that they have cable, they lie they do not have cable. There is definitely a transient that rode through the RV park daily to see what he could steal from everyone. The RV next to us got his bike stolen while we were there. We are now a week and a half into our trip in California and we get a call from Rio ( the manager)telling us that we owe him for rent and we haven't even been there for two weeks and owe him for next month! Even though we told him we were leaving on the second and we couldn't get any money back. So he took our $70 deposit and kept it because he said we owed him money for electricity. So two weeks of electricity there is going to cost you $64 on top of what you pay for renting the place and getting no cable as they promise you! We are both in the customer service business and I have never met anybody like Rio that has treated us more like trash then I've ever met anybody before. So if you want to go to an RV park that is trash and they will treat you like trash and this is the RV park for you! Just ask for Rio! read more

Crazy Horse map shows 100 pull thrus. None of these are pull thrus. You have to unhook for every site. Very, very, tight turns and close quarters. We had reservation for Class A RV with tow for one night. Kindly office allowed us to cancel. I'm not dinging them, but their definitions on sites needs work. read more

This RV Park is a fine place to just "get away from it all"! Very family oriented and extremely pet friendly. You are "treated like family" at Crazy Horse RV Park. Everyone is friendly and all go out of their way to make you feel welcome. It not "luxurious", it is comfortable. Our family likes to go there to spend several months, during the first of the year. I love to ride my 'three wheel bicycle' around the park, and chat with some of the locals. Like has been said before...You can "wear your pets out" by letting them RUN! The park owners are 'fair' and the rates are extremely affordable. If you are looking for a place to park your RV to get out of the cold weather, and perhaps make some long-term friends...check out Crazy Horse RV Park. Take time, while you are there to also go and walk around the Tanque Verde Swap Meet! A great family atmosphere, that will make you want to keep going back. read more

This rv park is in the ghetto. Always questionable people roaming around at night. Theres a nasty truckstop next door. Homeless people set up camp sites in the field next to the park. Peoples things have been stolen from their sites and the tv in the rec room was stolen. The bathrooms are outdated and nasty. The electricity has gone out in entire rows which is crazy in the extreme arizona desert heat. You will be hassled for the rent early and in cash. The place is in shambles. The wifi never works. I lived right next to an antenna and i still couldnt connect to wifi, come to find out that the antenna was broken and they wont pay to have it fixed, so wifi is falsly advertised. This place is a dump and your better off dry camping in the desert. Stear clear of this place. There are much nicer rv parks that are actually cheaper in Tucson. You couldn't pay me to go back and live there. And beware of the circle k hookers and druggies that roam through the place from time to time. read more
