At 6:11pm on Thursday night placed order for delivery at 7:05 part of the order arrived I asked the driver about the salad and cheese dip they said they would be back in 10-15 minutes I call the store at 7:45 to find out where the food is as we are waiting to eat as a family together as 2 kids enjoy the salad and not the pizza and grandma enjoys the breadsticks with the cheese dip but also not the pizza, we are left with over 50 dollar order a 10 dollar tip and 2 cold pizzas as I call the restaurant to find out where this salad is and in return for all this trouble I'm offered 1 cheese dip. I dont enjoy giving bad reviews but this was the WORST pizza I've ever had. I ordered 2 vegetarian pizzas (1 square and one thin crust) and a Greek salad. The pizza was extremely salty, not properly cut, and the dough wasnt fully cooked. I could live with everything but the unbelievable amount of salt. Just moved to the area. The previous home owners recommended Crazy Gators over Hungry Howies. They don't have delivery though other than Grub Hub or something. It's only 4 miles away so no problem. We were tasked with finding pizza around Hartland, while visiting my brother. Yikes! The land of bland chains. I was convinced that there had to be a good local mom 'n pop pizza somewhere around here. I found Crazy Gator in nearby Highland...The previous reviews showed good promise and thank goodness, a few fellow Yelp Eliters that raved. We ordered 3 large round pizzas with various toppings and crust flavors such as garlic and sesame seeds. The crust sure does taste homemade. It has a nice, caramelized crust like a pan pizza and the base below the (light) sauce had a nice rise to it and pleasingly chewy texture. The slices were small enough that you could sample all the pizzas and not get too filled up. It has exactly the right greasy pizza yumminess that you want. It is probably good cold. The toppings were above average quality, with freshly sliced tomatoes and onions and they were very generous with the pepperoni. Even the kid's pizza (plain cheese) was really good! They were fast and friendly and locally owned. Prices are very fair- we got out of there for $28 for 2 large pizzas with 3 toppings and 1 large pizza with only cheese. There is everything to recommend this place, in fact, you'd be crazy to not get a pizza from Crazy Gator next time! read more

Every time I have Crazy Gator pizza, I ask myself why I don't go more often. The pizza style here is something I used to have to drive out towards Livonia to get. It's kind of greasy, kind of salty, and arguably better cold (though it's pretty great hot). Toppings are pretty generous, and I've yet to get a pizza here that wasn't cooked to perfection. Breadsticks are going to be a love / hate item for most, because they're soft, and almost sting with garlic and salt. Pizza sauce will take the edge off. The cheese dip is for people who want to double down on the garlic and salt. (Personally, I get both.) I'm not usually much of a salad guy, but I picked up their family deal the other night and opted for the antipasto salad. I have to say, it was awfully nice. Instead of a plastic container full of lettuce with a couple of pepperoni and some cheese, this was probably half lettuce, half ham / salami / onion / olive / cheese / tomato. I was really impressed with how much food you get. Great pricing, and late hours, too. read more
