Luckily for us, his recommendation was spot on as La Ola is a great little ice cream shop with a large variety of different cures to whatever your sweet tooth desires. Parking is pretty accessible as it's in a small strip of stores and restaurants and there's ample outdoor seating as well to take in a nice summer night. The interior of the store is also nice and clean, making you feel like you're in a well run place from the moment you step in. We ordered a banana pudding scoop in a cone and a scoop of the Cookie Monster in a cup. The line here moves pretty quickly which is good so we didn't have to wait long from the moment we entered to the moment we began eating outside. The ice cream was delicious. The banana pudding tastes just as advertised with chunks of Nilla wafer throughout the bites, incredibly spot on. The Cookie Monster also tasted great, essentially a cookies and cream scoop dyed blue, but why not have a bit of fun with it? The whole experience was great and if ice cream isn't your thing they have numerous other options like shakes and ice pops to get you by. The only ding we can think of is that the trash outside was overrunning and looked like it hadn't been changed in hours. Nevertheless, we're very glad we stopped by here to get a sweet treat and would highly recommend it to anyone in the far South Austin/Kyle area looking to cool off on a summer night.

Turns out they have a curated selection of fresh juices (all priced at $8 for 12 oz), they also serve a small menu of snacks, non-vegan hot breakfast sandwiches ($7), all-natural snow cones ($5), and even adult brunch drinks ($4-$8). There's also free wifi and plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating. My "Heavy Green" was just what I was craving, a Popeye's power-up with several living vegetable juices and a pinch of Himalayan salt. My partner went with the sweetest option on the menu of the day, the "Peach Punch" with pineapple and watermelon, of which he saved half to make a perfect cocktail later. The manager, Jeff, was super-friendly and someone I'd love to see succeed as a small biz owner. From reviewing his social media posts, it looks like he has great plans to offer local delivery and weekly cleanse packages, as well. Nice & clean, owners and staff are nice & welcoming. I had the strawberry cheesecake shake & it had 24 grams of protein. So that was great after coming off a long bike ride. They use Herbal Life supplements to make their shakes, make sure to read nutrition labels or consult your physician before taking it. My shake was $5.25 but they're giving out 50% coupons limited time. Make sure to get one of their punch cards.
