This was done with no prior warning. The staff had no appreciation what they were doing was wrong and told me that I could complain through the website if I wanted.

Hirer beware!! Went with Apex for car hire in Cairns as they were cheaper, but deliberately booked…read morethe airport not downtown as we have kids and lots of luggage. Found out that despite all attempts to make process straight forward and easy, we arrived at Cairns Airport and called the company to find out where to locate the office at the airport. Told we had to go 'downtown' to pick car up and if we wanted car at airport had to pay a fee??! Then same deal upon returning car. Hubby had to leave me with the kids and all the luggage standing at the entrance while he dropped the car off and got a shuttle back. Was not impressed to say the least. Not happy Jan. The lady at the office said 'yes it's a bit misleading'. Not disclosing this info at the time of booking is REALLY misleading.... me thinks....
