I like this place! Beers and Margaritas are Huge and Cold. Food portions are big as well. I haven't had anything bad on the menu in the 3 or 4 times that I've been here. Servers are very friendly They are genuinely happy to have you as a customer. I recommend. read more

We had a horrible experience today. First, we ordered the Happy Hour margaritas, but were charged full price, after I specifically said the 8.99 margaritas. Next, it was Taco Tuesday, and when we ordered our tacos, we didn't receive the street tacos, but rather the regular priced menu tacos. This is the second time that this particular server takes it upon himself to order higher priced items. He was also kind of rude. I doubt that we'll be going back, which is too bad because I like the food. read more

Crazy Burrito - Mexican Near Me - Hilliard, Ohio

It started as soon as we pulled up. Parking lot was tore up, hard to navigate to the front of the restaurant, junky old relics outside, some nasty car parked out front taking up prime parking, water fountain that looked like a knock off, front rotating door is taped off with trash bags says being worked on which means it's not and didnt appear to be, restaurant looked extremely aged and tired and bland, the bar is laid out very strange and compact. Our table had a giant light that was blinding right in our face, as did other booths and the lights in the ceiling were all out. Waited about 10 minutes before the hostess waited us. Got a large margarita which was awful and the food was very subpar and over priced and I only saw 2 employees the whole night, the music was awful and sounded as much and the tvs all had very random shows on, like nobody was paying attention to what was on. All in all a really bad experience, and we won't be returning read more

Service was poor. Margaritas had no tequila. Entrees tasted like everything came from a can other than the tortillas. I do not see this restaurant lasting. One star is generous. read more

Wasn't the best Mexican I have had!! The burrito was over rated said was famous I don't know for what! Salsa was ok really watery! All in all will not be going back don't need to give it a second chance read more

Dumpster fire of an experience. Impressions: Fancy plates for really bad food. The beef taco salad I had was edible, but had very little beef, LOTS of lettuce, and too much sour cream. My dining partners barely touched their combo plates. Their rellenos weren't cooked thoroughly, the cheese quesadilla was inedible, and the Mexican rice was similar to Uncle Ben's mix. Prices? Too high. Would have enjoyed Taco Bell more, at a much lower cost. They serve chips and salsa when you sit down, but then additional (small) bowls of chips (and salsa) cost 75 cents each. A small bowl of queso was $2.99. And then there was the service. The service! The gentleman who seated us selected--literally--the smallest booth in the restaurant to seat us in. When we had to ask someone else (because he tossed down the menus and walked away before we even got to the table) for a different table, the host told us that it was, for real, the smallest in the place. There were many larger booths available, so we weren't certain why we were given the small one to begin with. Limited availability of tables and chairs--mostly, the seating is booths. Then came a procession of various people to each ask us what we wanted to drink, if we were ready to order, if we wanted more chips, etc. Then we had multiple people ask us how we wanted our check split, and no one managed to split it the way we requested. I don't have any experience in the service end of food service, but I think the system of dedicated server to a certain table works pretty well in other places. This place should consider using that. The confusion was concerning and annoying. There was a general lack of actual concern and engagement; everything was robotic and detached. When my friend asked to have the inedible quesadilla taken off of her check, there was not one follow-up question. It was like she was used to people being dissatisfied. Don't go. read more

We've now had two dinners here. Our first visit was an exploratory one, as we had watched this place transform from the old Cheeseburger in Paradise restaurant over to this new Mexican establishment. We did not expect a lot, but our meal that night was good and our service was even better. We were seated right away and our waiter (Carlos) came by and took our drink order. At that point we also requested some hotter salsa, as the one on the table was a little "safe". He smiled and said he'd be right back. 2 minutes later he appeared with a rich, dark red sauce, that was not only spicy, but flavorful. We ordered our entrees, (the Carnitas plate and the Green enchilada plate) and after a short time we were both digging in. About halfway through the meal, Carlos asked us how we liked everything and we started a conversation about spicy food. He then smiled (again), went into the kitchen and came back with some dried, roasted chili pepper flakes that they had made. He even put it in a to go container, so we could take it with us. We paid our bill and left, but vowed to come back with reinforcements. A week later we showed up on a Saturday night with two friends in tow. We had a short wait but were given a nice table in corner. Carlos was nowhere in sight. We again requested the hotter salsa, which was delivered quickly. For our entrees, I had the Rib special (not really a Mexican type dish) and Theresa went with the Shrimp fajitas. The ribs were good, although they had a bit too much sauce and the fajitas were reported as "great". So, we've had 2 very good dinners at this place, even though it has not been open that long. It might be a month or two before we return, but we will be back. read more

I am crazy about the Crazy Burrito! The food is excellent quality as well as the service. We love Pancho and the rest of the staff. We drive 2.5 hours just to enjoy a Crazy Burrito and Arroz con Pollo and, of course, Chango for dessert! By far, our favorite Mexican restaurant EVER! read more

I was so excited for this restaurant to open, which makes me even more disappointed that it ended up being a terrible experience. The first time we went the service was SO UNORGANIZED. When we didn't need any help we had a different person literally every 30 seconds asking us how it was going. Then, when we actually needed something, there was no one in sight. We waited so long for drink refills that we had actually already finished our food before someone finally came by to see if we needed anything. THEN there's the prices. This place doesn't even compare to the MANY other mexican restaurants in the area. Way overpriced and....You have to PAY FOR EXTRA CHIPS! I have literally never been to a mexican restaurant that charged you for more chips. I ordered a margarita which was expensive, but I thought maybe it was just really good? I don't mind paying more for quality. NOPE! Terrible. Tasted like something they poured out of one of those premixed dispensers. That's not even the kicker...you have to ASK and PAY MORE for what they called "top shelf" tequila. I can go to El Vaquero and get a margarita with patron silver AND pay a couple bucks less and it will be amazing. So after my first trip there I vowed never to return, BUT alas my book club was scheduled to meet up there. It was a disaster. Took an incredibly long time to get our food, they completely screwed up one of the girls orders. It took her an extra 20 minutes to get hers and they didn't even apologize. Didn't offer her anything for the inconvenience. We asked to speak to a manager, and some young girl comes around to "take care of it". Taking care of it was taking $3 off her total and acting like she was inconvenienced by having to actually take care of a customer. Finally, the food. The food is edible and it really isn't all that bad, it just isn't great either. Definitely nothing compared to any of the hundreds of mexican joints in the columbus area. Bottom line is you could a couple miles down the road in any direction around here and find a mexican restaurant that is cheaper, better tasting and has actually friendly staff. Don't waste your time and your money. read more

We had a great time trying out this location in Hilliard. I always appreciate when we get help with the door (I sometimes need a transporter chair). It was early and we were immediately seated. The chips were gigantic and enjoyed the salsa. I had a combo plate with Chiles Rellenos and a tamal, rice and beans. It was all yummy and I'm eager to try other items. Hubby had the Crazy Burrito which was very large. He took his time and managed to get through it...but gave me a couple of bites. Very good. The Las Leches cake for dessert was also wonderful. Can't say enough about the service. Everyone was attentive and friendly. Really enjoyed the vibe here and will return! read more

We had a fun lunch here. They were very friendly and relaxed. I tried the street style tacos and they were excellent. They came with one side of beans. I would suggest they add rice to this as well. Fresh and flavorful. We happened to be up "in the city" so we stopped. Will definitely be back if we're back in that neck of the woods. read more

Stopped in for lunch today, pretty disappointing. Hadf a seat at the bar as I was by myself. So first, they do not keep a bartender or someone working behind the bar on at lunch time... I am giving then the benifit of the doubt and assuming their is someone behind the bar in the evening. I personally find it very uncomfortable to have people waiting on me from behind me as I sit at a bar. Maybe it is someone coming up behind me or what, but it is just wrong imho and in this case it is a shame as the place has a nice size bar (same as old Cheese Burger in Paradise). The food was so so. I had the crazy burrito, the steak was overcooked and the chicken seemed bland. Actually I would describe the whole dis as bland. The price was way to high for the quality I received, maybe at half the price I would have felt like it was a fair exchange. I guess the last thing was the food felt like it took a long time to come up. The place was not busy and it was lunch time, for mexican food I would have expected less of a wait. Might give a shot in a few months and see if they get their act together, though given the food was disappointing and menu was nothing special I think I would just opt for Lunada or an E.V. read more

I have no idea how this place stays in business. I have been there about 10 times for lunch with friends. It is convenient but the service is so terrible that we will have to pick another place. The food is OK but the place is never crowded, they have plenty of servers and yet they never check back after they deliver the food. This time we thought we were smart and asked for the checks when the food was being delivered. We were completely done eating for over 20 minutes before our checks came. Stay way and pick somewhere else! read more

I have gone there a few times now to see if it was always gonna be as good as the first time I went. I'm very pleased to say it has gotten continually better. The food is amazing and always fresh. I have tried the Chorizo and pork rind dip, the crazy ribs, the crazy burrito, and the change Cheesecake. All of these items were home runs. You honestly can't ask for better. The wait staff gets 5 stars all on their own. They are willing to help any table in need even if it's not their own. Even the gentleman at the door greets you with a smile and a very genuine niceness. This is the place to good for an all around amazing experience. read more

Food is ok but staff can be rude. They need to be more professional- sometimes you have questions on menu and they seem inconvenienced. Food is ok but wait to get food corrected can be long and sometimes drinks are left empty. If grading on food alone I would give 4 stars. Food is good. Tacos can be poorly served though, mushy and broken. Enchiladas are tasty And drinks are decent. Value for money spent would be a 3. Food a 4 with some exceptions. Service when waiting for drinks or you have questions would be a 1. read more

I am basing this score solely on the food which I felt was the best "comfort food" Mexican restaurant in town. Very yummy combination plate of a tamal (tamale), enchilada, taco and refried beans and rice. Very satisfying tastes, nothing too elaborate but very satisfying! I suppose the value of the service should be used to determine the rating, but I didn't want to shoot the score of the good food in the foot because of a waitress who was having trouble understanding what I asked. I felt badly for her but she did a confusing and poor job... read more

We were very impressed with this restaurant. It offers a very spacious dining area with bright, festive decor. The bar area offers a good amount of seating directly at the bar bordered by several booths. They also have outdoor patio seating. The menu offers numerous choices, including meat, fish, and vegetarian options. I ordered the Pollo Asado, which is roasted chicken slathered in adobo seasoning with a chicken enchilada, papa relleno, and side salad. I paired that with a 22oz house margarita. My husband ordered the Crazy Burrito stuffed with rice, sour cream, chicken, steak, shrimp, and onions smothered in cheese sauce, served with rice and refried beans. Chicken was well-seasoned and tender, the enchilada sauce tasted fresh and homemade, and the papa relleno was good, although a bit dry. The steak and shrimp from the burrito were also well-seasoned and cooked perfectly. There is definitely a good variety of menu and drink items here. The food and service were good that evening. We will be back. read more

Service was great, everyone was very friendly and attentive. Peach Daiquiri was good but not too strong. I wanted to like this place, but my chicken was almost rubbery, not tender like it should have been, but the flavor was nice. I was a huge fan of the beans, they were smokey and not dry at all, rice was pretty bland. I probably wouldn't go back again. read more

We've been coming here once or twice a week since they first opened. The food and the service are excellent. And the atmosphere is great. I will always go out of my way if I'm going to have Mexican food to come here. They have the best shrimp everything. I would recommend to anyone for sure! read more

Ate here the other evening, and I cant say that I was super impressed. The food is subpar, though the refried beans are really good! We split chips and queso, the crazy burrito and fried ice cream for dessert. Nothing seemed fresh and nothing really stood out as being good besides the beans. Oh, and I got a nina rita which was just downright awful. It tasted like cheap fruit punch. My girlfriend got a margarita and it was bad, too. How does a Mexican restauraunt mess up a margarita? Anyway, glad we tried it because now we know. It was cute, fun and festive inside; too bad the product was not equally interesting or impressive. read more

First of all, we ordered the Crazy Burrito (rice, steak, chicken, shrimp, cheese), what they are known for, and what your got for the price I had no problem with. However, everything came out too hot to touch or attempt to eat, we had to wait around 5 min. before we could bite into anything. The chips and salsa you get when you are seated tasted horrible, the chips tasted burnt, that salsa was watery and had no flavor. The only thing in the burritos that had flavor was the meats. The queso on it was watery, the tortilla was hard on the bottom because they served it on a cast iron hot plate, the guacamole salad was served with the refried beans on a too hot-to-touch plate. We had 3 different servers, so no one really knew what drinks we had. Overall, we will not be going back to this restaurant again. read more

Horrible! Went in to this place for a friend's birthday. Sat down at the bar, no one in sight. After waiting about 10 min I went to the hostess stand and asked if anyone worked here. Someone finally greeted us. Order an iced tea which had food floating around in it. Filthy glass. Ordered enchiladas that were cold. Said something to our server and his response was "don't look at me..I just take the orders" and did nothing to try to fix it. I will NEVER go back. I don't see how this place is still in business. Wish I could give it zero stars. read more

Apparently a lot has changed since most of these post from 2017 because almost every complaint did not happen to us. We stopped here early on Saturday shortly after they opened we where greeted at the do sat promptly (unlike one of the complaint that they where sat to fast to take in the view how silly). They chips and salsa came quick and we received our drinks quickly. The salsa is not the greatest not a lot of flavor other than tomatoes. I got the Crazy Burrito and the wife got a combination . The food came very fast and very hot. The Crazy Burrito was big and had good flavor with everything in it it was rolled wrong with the rice and sour cream on one side and all the different meat on the other. Service was very slow and unfriendly. Server acted as though they were bothered by serving us. Went for our first and final time today around 6 pm for an early Father's Day dinner. I liked the atmosphere and most of the staff were friendly and attentive. The food was good. However, we will not be back.... My husband had a coupon for $7 off of a bill of $50 or more (excluding alcohol) which was a real incentive to try this place out. The only other restriction was "one coupon per customer." Not even a restriction as to the day of the week. However, when we went to pay, they would not accept our coupon because my husband ordered one of the specials (the ones listed on the chalk boards at the front when you come in). Hostess indicated they could not accept the coupon because we ordered one of the specials. My husband indicated that there was no such restriction stated on the coupon. She got her supervisor and he indicated the same and had no real answer to my husband indicating that such restriction was not indicated on the coupon or the page that the coupon came from (which we had with us and let him examine which he conveniently took along with the coupon despite not honoring the coupon). The supervisor even referenced that we should have mentioned the coupon when placing our orders (coupon did not reference that we needed to though I have seen coupons that indicate such for other businesses). Why a supervisor or manager would be firm with a customer about a policy that is not stated on the coupon or otherwise and risk a customer being unhappy or not coming back is beyond me. Of the negative situations I've run into at other restaurants (e.g., slow service, incorrect orders), I feel that the restaurants have always done their best to make it right and often without us saying a word. read more
