Walking in it seems a big crowded at the front door but it opens up a bit to a nice dining area with colorful seating and clean ! The waitress was pleasant and helpful with the menu. So so many options to choose from , but I got the refried beans and flautas. They were crispy and full of flavor . For the table we also got the churros with whipped topping and chocolate sauce sprinkled on top. All around good meal! The only thing I don't like is that you have to order your rice and beans separate and don't come with the purchase of a meal. Most Mexican restaurants include that. I would definitely eat here again.!! read more

We workout next door and decided to check out Casa Jalisco. Since we first tried Casa Jalisco we have been back several times. It's not the biggest restaurant but there is a decent amount of seating and places to sit at the bar. I rarely get to enjoy happy hours because they typically end at 6 but Casa Jalisco has happy hour till 8 which is great. I wish I had a picture of the food to share but it's so good I always forget to take one (enjoy my 32oz beer pic instead). We have only really tried the chicken entrees so I can't vouch for much else but it's been great every time. Service is always quick and everyone there is friendly. Great spot to check out! read more

Same here for restaurant week and it was way more than I thought I was getting! Complementary chips & salsa. Those were super fresh and hot. Came here for restaurant week and was blown away by the amount of food as well as the taste! Definitely a great Mexican restaurant in the Columbus area. It was a bit busy but service was quick and everyone was nice. As part of restaurant week I was able to try quite a few of their offerings (also cause I brought my partner along). Both the guac and queso tasted great. I personally like a slightly thicker queso cause i like it to coat my chips but it still tasted really good. I got the steak and chicken fajitas and it was a ton of food. The steak and chicken were tender and flavorful along with the rice and beans. They also have, I believe, house made tortillas (corn and flour) and they were also great and fresh. We ended the meal with flan and churros and again flavorwise great but the churros were cold and not fresh so got a bit soggy. I assume part of that was just restaurant week hecticness. Overall, a great Mexican restaurant with great food at affordable prices. read more

First of all, I really wanted to like this place!!!! The waiter was soo busy he barely did anything but ask once how things were. Soo, unfortunately, bad service. I love Chile Rellenos, but not from here, mushy and soggy, and I asked for beef and cheese, only got cheese. The batter was soo think like a pancake and very oily. The poblanos were so mushy, like they steamed them 8 hours ago. My older daughter got 3 corn tacos, oily not crunchy. My youngest got chimichangas, Taste was good but never seen such small chimichangas, wow. We definitely did not order the right stuff. The waiter took my full uneaten plate and did not ask nor did he care that I had a full plate uneaten. Was charged the full price, for disgusting soggy food. I thought I'd give it another try, but hell no. Never going back. I wish I had taken a picture:( read more

The food is MID. Salsa is watery with no flavor at all. Mexican Rice is fluffy but was lacking tomato flavor. Tamales are my favorite but I wouldn't recommend them from here. Enchilada & Guacamole were the best parts of my meal. Guac is house made with chucks of avocado. Not a bright generic green color. Enchilada had a nice portion of chicken and was decently flavorful. 3 stars until I update on how the Margaritas taste! read more

We came here for our first time as a group of four and were seated immediately on a Thursday evening. The menu offers a wide variety of great options from traditional to Tex mex style food. I opted for the birria tacos and one hard taco to try as I love my hard tacos! The birria tacos were very good and were prepared perfectly with the grilled cheese and crispy outer layer. I wish it had a bit more seasoning and heat but still overall was very good. The hard taco was also very good and perfectly prepared. The chips and salsa were both homemade and tasted great, the chips were still warm! The service staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant also has a bar where you first walk in if you would rather sit at the bar and watch some sports. The cost was very good based on the portions you get. My team stopped at Casa Jalisco after a meeting to bond and eat. Mexican good was the consensus so i checked Yelp. 4 1/2 stars! Ok. The place is decorated very lively and we were seated quickly. I ordered from the lunch menu, chicken enchilada and beef taco with rice and beans. Everyone else seemed happy with what they ordered. We also ordered queso for the table (which was really good!). Twisting the rules we also ordered margaritas (why not). Everything was as expected or better. The queso and margaritas stood out to all of us. Muy bueno!! We hung out for a while and had a great time, all the while being checked on numerous times. Great service, great drinks and really good food. We will definitely be back again! read more

Whoa buddy...this was definitely DELICIOUS! Big shout out to 614Feast on Instagram for putting me onto this spot. Not one lie told on his review! The drinks were potent and great! Salsa very fresh tasting. Chips were hot and crispy! Fries were outta this world! Choriqueso was bubbly cheesey, and gooey and filling. The Pollo Jalisco was delectable! Churros we're amazing! The misses got a burrito which she enjoyed along with her Cadillac Margarita (She's not into posting anything on social media). The baby enjoyed his taco, Mexican coke, and Fries! My tall boy beer was cold and refreshing as well. I think we've found our spot in the future to satisfy our palate if we're in the hankering for Mexican or Tex Mex food. Very friendly staff! This is my family's favorite place to get Mexican food. They have delicious queso, fresh chips, and the best salsa. The food portions are big and enough to feed two people, in my opinion. It is a bit loud in the restaurant and can be hard to hear the waiters, but that's not a big deal. Absolutely recommend! read more

Went here for the first time with my daughter . Nice casual place . Had the happy hour margaritas and they were pretty good . So many times happy hour drinks are watered down but these were good . The queso was good tho I like it alittle thicker so it sticks to the chip better . My daughter had the chicken fajita which she said could of use alittle more favor , mabe alittle more spice , I had the chimichangas which was good . Our waiter Brau was very nice read more

Tried this place tonight b/c we wanted Mexican. Was very happy with our visit. I had the Quesadilla Jalisco w/beef tips. I thought it was very good. She had the fajita quesadilla. It came with a small salad with guacamole which she said was REALLY good! She loved her quesadilla & brought the rest home. Our waitress was excellent! Soft spoken, accurate & very friendly. The table was quickly cleaned once we got there, & our order was taken immediately. Our food was brought out by one of the kitchen staff & he was great as well! The service here is worth the visit. The dining room is large & typically decorated. Nothing unusual, pretty much the same as any place else. Nice & clean. Nice size bar, too. Very happy with this place & definitely will be back. This small restaurant features authentic entrees from the region of Jalisco Mexico and "Americanized" Mexican dishes. I ordered the Pollo Jalisco bowl. Chickens, zucchini, yellow squash, mushroom on a bed of rice with queso and three tortillas. Delicious! Slightly spicy but more flavorful than hot! The flour tortillas were fresh and probably the best I've ever had. Hubs ordered Burrito Supreme with ground beef and refried bean inside made with the same fresh flour tortilla I enjoyed. The burrito was topped with lettuce, tomato and sour cream. We were served chips and salsa when we were seated. The salsa had that same spiciness giving it a delicious flavor. The decor is cheerful, staff is attentive and the beer was cold. read more

After our second time here, the food is excellent. The service is nothing to complain about, and the prices are definitely fair. I lived in California for 3 years and had my share of street tacos, and I gotta say these are as good, if not better than the ones I had. Last night, I had 3 different ones. Chicken, barbacoa, an al pastor and they were fabulous. The beans and rice were even a step above. I don't have pictures of the tacos, but they are not on the skimpy side by any means. As much as I love eating at Habaneros, this is where we'll be going for now on. Larger menu, tastier tacos, great prices and better ambiance and just a few minutes closer to home. read more

First time here. The restaurant is clean and lively. Our server was very attentive. The chorizo queso was delicious. I got the sopes (pictured below half eaten!) and my husband got tacos which he loved. The margaritas are refreshing. Price was good for what we got. Was hoping for a better experience, however was not terribly let down. The chips and salsa were nothing special, pretty average honestly. The queso was fine, but had chunks of dried cheese in it which was displeasing. We split a "large" margarita, only for our waitress to bring the "pitcher" option. We confirmed this was the large when she brought it out only to be charged for the pitcher at the end when we got the bill. They took it off after we said its wrong, but whatever. The language barrier was an issue in that instance. Outside of that, the waitress was quite attentive and we felt taken care of. We split the moldajete Jalisco which was amazing! If you visit, be sure to order that! Everything was clean and the food came out quickly. We'll probably be back for taco Tuesday to give it another shot, we just expected to enjoy it a bit more. read more

This restaurant had sooo many five star reviews, and we love Mexican, so we had to give it a try! We came during happy hour, so we shared a pitcher of margaritas, aye! We were there on taco Tuesday, and they have a special for $1.99 tacos (for most meat choices, premium meats are $2.99). Tacos pretty much equal life, so I had to get some, al pastor, lengua, and carnitas. I also got ceviche (my fav) and we shared the shrimp queso. The ceviche was my favorite, though there was a little spice to it (I don't like spicy food). The fish had so much flavor! The tacos were a solid choice as was the shrimp queso. Our server was very friendly and attentive, I really wish I could remember her name, but, we were well taken care of. All in all I think this restaurant most definitely its 5 star ratings! read more

MY NEW FAVORITE RESTAURANT!! Walked in on the cup night. Place was packed with local families. Service was fabulous. Newly moved into the strip mall near Big Lots and family owned and operated. Very Sweet people who cook AMAZING Mexican food. I had the steak burrito, large and so yummy and the prices are low!! The steak torta was ordered and it was HUGE! Margaritas were good. There are a lot of "crazy" options and options with meat, but I wouldn't eat them. I get some basic, normal tacos, but the waitresses have always been helpful in letting me customize a taco so I can eat it. They have an awesome patio which makes for a great place for dinner. I would definitely come back for tacos again.

The tamales were tasty-- they have 3 diferent types and I got one of each. They were all a bit spicy so that's something to beware of because it wasn't expected. The queso was warm and creamy, it was a queso blanco, but there wasn't a large portion. I liked the tacos, but the birria tacos were served open face and without a side of consomme, definitely a little disappointing. The birria ramen was super rich, delicious, and cheesy, but very oily. The noodles themselves were cooked so much that they were quite mushy. I also wished that it came with some cilantro and onions or other veggies in it. I might order from here again, but it probably won't be my go-to if I'm craving birria.
