The store was a welcome respite from the (worrisome) hustle and bustle of the actual Experience was (which is the actual fun park portion of this place, whereas the store is literally the store inside the indoor park) When we were there the store wasn't crowded and as others have pointed out, the selection of crayon products was pretty cool. They also sold some unique items here you can't find elsewhere apparently, like some special crayons etc. The store itself is clean, well organized and pretty much a dream for any kid who loves to color and loves Crayola products. However, it seemed like they were understaffed (who isn't these days) and as a result there were very few employees inside and only one person at the register. This led to some very long lines in spite of the fact there were very few people in the store versus the actual experience. This is the "gift shop of Crayola". You visit the store on your way out of course so they can try to snag any extra coins up out your wallet that you may have. It's located on the first floor when you walk into the experience. Upon entrance it is bright a vibrant, but would you expect anything less, I mean it is a CRAYOLA store! They have everything from stuffed animals, coloring books, crayons, markers, keychains, socks, and even shot glasses for the adults! It was my son's birthday so we let him go all in and pick out what his little Crayola desired. His favorite color is RED, which is by no coincidence as his birthday is Valentine's Day so nothing less is expected! He choose red Crayola socks, red Crayola stuffed animal, and lion king mess free coloring book. He was happy with his picks....so, so was I. However, in my honest opinion there was not much there that was exciting or that made me feel like I had to have it or my son needed it. I did get crayola color socks for myself, mom, and sissy in their favorite colors. But that was all that intrigued me.... I was expecting vintage Crayola finds but to my demise there weren't many. There was a nice crayon and marker wall where you could fill a tin full of crayons or markers. As much as could fit in the tin, that's the max, for a set price. We choose the tin with the built in sharpener and filled the box to the brim. Trust me when I say, my son has enough crayons to last him through high school . All in all, spent about $80 bucks but the store is nothing to rave about. Grab a keepsake for the memories but don't spend your mortgage. read more

Fun place for kids. Yes, it's a bit pricey but what kid's place isn't? We bought our tickets online at a slight discount. Kids under 2 are free. Each paying person gets 4 free tokens which you redeem to make things. The employees we encountered were friendly and helpful. The craft lines moved really quickly. My 4 year old had a blast and my 15 month old really enjoyed the toddler play area. A few tips: 1. Find metered street parking. We found a 3 hour spot and that was perfect. You won't spend more than 3 hours here. 2. The indoor playarea (not the toddler one) can get completely chaotic- like UNSAFE chaotic. 3. Bring your own snacks. Pros: World's largest crayon - Big Blue; Tons of Crayola products all in one place; fill your own crayon tin ($7.99 but there aren't enough different colors to fill the tin without repeating colors which I thought was annoying); you can find some of the newer and less common Crayola products all in one place. Cons: I could find many of the items cheaper on Amazon.com (with free shipping); it would be nice to have more opportunities to try some of the less common items; this is definitely not the place to come for discounts (you'll do better when these items go on sale at a mass merchandiser). Overall, the kids enjoyed it. They were out of the 150 towers when we were there so they didn't have (IMHO) the best souvenir of our trip to the Crayola Factory next door. This place is pretty frickin awesome if you're a kid. The activities are cute and my little cousins had a blast! Used a Groupon that allowed for 2 admissions plus a box of 64 crayons from the Crayola Store next door, ALL for $14! I doubt that I would pay the regular admissions fee of $12 but if you find a deal I would definitely go for it. The only issue was that there was a festival in Centre Square the weekend we chose to go up so traffic was a little congested. Luckily I packed snacks for the kids and there's a "dining area" on the 1st floor. The other issue was that there were some parents who were a little pushy, and if you don't mind screaming babies then this is a great day trip to keep your kids busy. This one of a kind place puts the child into the Crayola Experience. How crayons are made is informative for both child & parent. Loads & loads of arts & crafts, even an area where your child makes and names his own crayon with what ever name he chooses on the wrapper. Create your own markers and sculpt your own figure too. Only drawback is the cost. Why should the parents admission fee be the same as the child's? The parent will not be participating in any of the crafts, when the entire experience is for children. read more

Update: 9/2018 - You can tell new management is here. It's WAY cleaner, better activity set up and happier employees. And I'm here on a Sunday (weekend) where it's usually crazy. They also re-did MELTDOWN on the fourth floor. It's a great place to take the kids if you can handle large crowds. It opens at 10:00 AM, so if you prefer smaller crowds, that's the time to arrive. I enjoy starting on floor 4 and then going down to 2. Bring bills for the coin machine. You can buy some at the register and throughout the building. The coins are great for modeling clay, creating your own crayons and getting random markers by the elevator. Some days they have the photos available to purchase, others they don't. There's lockers and coat racks for storage and a place to eat with a frequent show for entertainment at certain hours. The second floor has a lot of activities. Wax hand making is a new feature on the third floor and a huge gymnasium for kids to climb up and view the fourth floor. A toddler corner sets on the second floor. There's lots to do, you'll have fun and as a fellow parent, being patient and just having fun is the best attitude for this place. We liked it, BUT....... Ok so after reading all negative reviews I was very skeptical about taking my family to this place! But I still decided to go, and glad we did! We enjoyed our time there... yes it was a little busy but honestly not more as if you go to Disney or Turkey Hill Experience or Hershey Park/Chocolate World, people everywhere with kids not unusual. The only longest line we stood was a wax hand and only because people on the front of us group of 8 each wanted to make one then make together etc. and one of them wanted to make a "Middle Finger" wax hand and employee let them to do it which I though was despicable as it's a kids place kids everywhere ... so I think on wax hand should be some kind of more and better organizing system... and only because of "middle finger" wax hand I am giving one star review read more

Crayola has a return policy that stinks! I ordered special red, white and blue crayons for July 4th and took so long, they arrived too late for me to use. They would not return even though they told me to send it back! I will never order from them again and I recommend you skip them too! They're customer service department is terrible and I am not even sure why they exist except to cost me more money! Prices are high, shipping is slow and customer service is annoyingly unhelpful! read more
