And Zach too. All of the guests were awesome and just blown away with how soul food could be vegan and taste that good. The ambiance and setting is absolutely beautiful and so intimate. We served fried oyster mushrooms (served w/ my amazing homemade sauce), Mac n cheese, candied yams, collards/cabbage medley, cornbread, and banana pudding. Everything was a hit. People also had the opportunity to buy other items that I sell and items that Jason sells as well. I highly recommend both businesses. Butterhead Kitchen has ongoing vegan cooking classes and experiences. Mama Niccas caters, does pop up, and has a website to purchase online orders as well.

Since PPB closed and since I really wanted to experience Butterhead after reading about them via this event, I decided to sign up for a Butterhead event. Many events were during the week, and I did consider those, but a friend was not able to do most of them. I liked this Saturday event for supporting Seed Farm in Emmaus that popped up later on. The food, apple cider, and alcohol from various vendors was exquisite. The portions weren't particularly huge, but it was enough for me. Besides the 4 courses, there was a nice surprise of an appetizer spread before the 4 course meal, and there was an acoustic band doing a great job with the covers. It is nice to see initiatives to try to maintain quality food, and hearing the stories and eating the food from these kind of communities gives the customer a slight appreciation for the life dedication to decide for farming as a hobby or a career because most people with labor intensive skills are likely to go to construction instead. Most of the money is left to huge farms and many things are canned. Canned helps with pricing and preservation and huge populations, but the quality isn't there like with fresher fruits and vegetables. We definitely need better infrastructure and culture for composting and having quality food options with more accessibility. Butterhead, thank you for your great craftmanship with vegan food and your community involvement. Vegan food is truly an empathetic art for you, and you really understand food. I'd personally love to see a Honeysuckle provision (they are not vegan) and Butterhead Kitchen food amalgamation. At this special event, I got to tour the additional farm portion that Seed Farm is working on. There is interest to try to sway away from AI to do farm work but interest to use technology to advertise the farm more. I wonder if they could utilize TooGoodToGo and if they could collect composting from the local community to help with fertilization and advocate for more sustainability. All of the food was very fresh and classy. https://www.instagram.com/p/DAyg5ZvR45e/?igsh=MWhjcGtxaDZ2ODNtbw== Apparently, Butterhead was at the Bethlehem vegan mac fest in 2023 and made a spinach and artichoke macaroni, which I believe i voted for, but my friend did not. In case you're wondering where the name Butterhead comes from, it says so somewhere on the website. His dog was named that and he used it in the name of his company as a result. I also can't believe this is the first review on this place on Yelp.

Our compliments to the Chef! Luca and Amanda both came by our AirBnB to make a fantastic 4 (maybe…read more5?) course meal for my buddy's bachelor party. Keep in mind, many of us were already big fans of his from Master Chef so when we found out he was actually based in the area, we were ecstatic. Though we knew about Chef Luca prior to our arrival but he still blew us away. The food was obviously incredible, but I think what really set him apart was how he took time to speak with us and get to know us a bit. Swapping stories and learning about the cuisine was such a valuable experience. My grandma is 100% Italian and I told her about his Broccoli Rabe and she questioned me about it for about 20 minutes upon returning back home. Outside of the food and conversation, this event was a really nice way to get all of the bachelor party attendees around the table to share a meal. It definitely brought us together. We started with Crostini, then Broccoli Rabe, then Steak/short ribs, mashed potatoes, mushrooms, and had this incredible pudding for dessert. 100% would do this again. I also want to shout out Amanda who helped Luca with everything, she was awesome and so cool. Thank you Chef! We might have to fly you out to Austin for Drew's bachelor party next month!

The croissants were a crowd pleaser, the Caesar salad crisp & tasty, the fruit was so fresh, but the blueberry lemon almond cookies stole the show! My experience is only with catered lunch in a corporate setting, and it is always hands down the best lunch I've ever had, every. single. time!!!!! How does she find fresh veggies year-round!? Incredible! There is so much care and thought put into this food. They must be very particular about their food suppliers. Any fresh ingredient is always perfectly fresh/ripe. The cherry tomatoes and really any veggies are always delicious, bursting with flavor (maybe they use organic which tends to have more flavor?). The salad dressings are all incredible. Apple Cider Vin, Citrus Vin.....o.m.g! The Power Up Salad will make you want to eat salads for every meal - seriously. Also, I was never a fan of pasta salads until I started being adventurous and trying the pasta salads from here. The Bruschetta Pasta Salad - OMG. Also, recently had the Bacon Parmesan Ranch Rigatoni salad.....wowza. Cupcakes, cookies, or other small desserts from here are to die for. I've used a lot of cliche "review" terms here.....trust me, they don't even begin to describe it!!! :)

They made sure that all our needs were met and that we had a great night. The decor was classy and very homey. Cozy and unpretentious, it's a small business and a true hidden gem. The moment we set foot in the door, we were warmly greeted by Paul, the extraordinary host and husband of the chef, Maricel. Upon seeing our reservation via OpenTable, he noticed we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. He gave us the most romantic table in the house. Megan quickly came out to take our order. We were deciding, and she mentioned they have Benguet coffee. As it was freezing outside, it was perfect as we looked through the menu. The Benguet coffee came out in a French Press. Benguet coffee is a single-origin coffee that grows in the Northern part of the Philippines. We tasted notes of chocolate, berries, and nuts. Intoxicating!! Pandesal, Filipino bread with accompanying butter, came out with the coffee. These are truly melt-in-your-mouth, as when you first break it, the crispy outer layer gives way to a soft and fluffy center. Heavenly!! We decided upon their Kamayan Tower, which is a 4-tier is like a Filipino celebration of food, all brought together and giving you a tasting banquet at your table. The top tier was the appetizers, where crispy Lumpia and Siomai (Filipino version of Shumai) lay. The second tier consisted of Pork Sisig, Chicken Inasal, and Pancit Bihon. The Pork Sisig was my absolute favorite as it was a symphony of rich and savory flavors. My husband loved the Chicken Inasal, as the flavor profile is smoky, tangy, and savory-sweet. The following tier held many delights, but what stood out from that tier were Chicken Adobo, the perfect ratio of soy and vinegar marinade, and the crispy Whole Fried Tilapia. Excellent combination of crispy skin and moist and flaky inside. Last but not least, the final tier had many stars, but what stood out for us was Beef Kaldereta and Inihaw Na Liempo. The primer is a stew with vegetables, potatoes, and tender beef. Slow-braised in tomato-based sauce, giving us hearty and comfy feelings. The latter is grilled pork belly, where the smoky and sweet flavors come together. Just when we were finished, Megan brought out a plate of desserts, and Paul gave us two flutes of champagne to celebrate. The food was all phenomenal, as was the service. Chef Maricel herself came out to greet us, and we talked about how these dishes were prepared. She has a full staff prepping for the dishes and truly tries to replicate the flavors of her grandmother's cooking from Manila. Both she and Paul were in the cooking school where they first met, and we laughed at how we first met our spouses. The place is a hidden gem, and Chef Maricel wisely chose her signage to be huge black lettering on a white, lit-up background so that passing cars can see her restaurant as they drive by. Plenty of parking as they share a parking lot in the strip mall. If you are looking for great Filipino cuisine where they treat you like family, this is the place. The place is not huge, so I strongly recommend people make their reservation via OpenTable. Chef Maricel also mentioned they offer cooking lessons during the weekdays, except for Friday evening, and they also serve Classic Filipino brunch towers on weekends. Sign. Me. Up!!
