The large sculpture/water pad was being enjoyed by many small children on a hot summer evening. There's a huge amount of green space, lots of different sculptural art pieces, places to sit, and great views of the river, as well as a pavilion for concerts. This is an amazing addition to any community, and the residents here are blessed to have it.

The playground along the eastern edge of Summit Park was very popular with the kids, There are135 acres (!) of greenspace, a fish-stocked (!) catch-and-release pond, and more climbers and such for older kids. The walkers and dog-owners among us liked the long network of paved paths and the dog-park area. There's a central open space apparently for concerts and such. I admit, i spent most of my time watching from outside the kids' playground, and listening to a band over the covered walkway next to the taco place, with a relaxing beverage from the nearby bar :-). Sometimes it's nice not to be in charge. None of us braved the cool-looking 9-level 153-foot observation tower because the we site said that the elevators were closed at the time. They say you can see downtown! There is also a slippery splash and play "water course" to explore which was closed, too, during our visit. They say there's ice skating in the winter. The whole experience worked for us because of the nice restaurants, bars, and ice cream shops along the north and east edges of the park. We ate twice with different groups at the Mexican taco place, and three times at the park-themed restaurant. We had coffee and drinks from the cafe / bar / bottle-store. We got ice cream twice! We didnt make it to the bakery or the diner, or the chic nail salon which could have been nice for some me-time :-).

What I once thought was a super small park is now a large area for soccer fields, a playground for the kids, a pond for fishing, a few baseball fields, and some trails around the park. It's a great place to walk and take your family to play! One of my favorite memories at this park was painting the mural on the building located in the center of the park. I partnered with artworks along with the fellow members of my community and volunteer to paint the sides of this building. What a blast! In fact, I am hooked. Any artworks project that excepts volunteers, I'm in! It was certainly a memory for my bucket list. I've never been disappointed with the cleanliness of the bathrooms there. Symmes Township workers do a fantastic job at keeping their parks clean. I can tell that family is a focus, and they are good at their job. I always feel valued when I am at a park in Symmes Township. Check out this park!! There is lots of space to play!

Francis RecreAcres doesn't have tennis courts, basketball courts, baseball fields, or ponds like some of the other area parks. Instead, the Hamilton County Park District member has six soccer fields, six sand volleyball courts (not sure if people play on these much), a paved one-mile walking/jogging trail, a decent-size playground/area, and also a snack bar that's open during soccer games. One thing I noticed when I stopped by around lunch time was that there were many cars scattered around the parking lot. While a few people were out and about on the walking path, and some kids were riding their bikes and hanging with a babysitter, several of the people were sitting in their car perhaps eating or just relaxing during a lunch break from work. It's surely a nice place to relax and get away from the daily grind of work, but I bet it would be a bit better if you actually left your car. Overall, Francis RecreAcres is a good park considering the things it doesn't offer. The soccer fields are in great shape though and the play area is good too, plus they have benches and grills if you want to bring the fam over for a little picnic. It's in a pretty good location too, as it is just inside Sharonville near Stewart Elementary (Princeton City Schools) and less than a half-mile from Kemper Road.

The playground is great. Not one of the best we've been to and kind of far away from everything else. But, if you're visiting the SPCA next door, this is a great place to stop by for the kids to run around awhile. The playground has a large structure with (I think) 5 slides. There is very little green in the park anymore, which is unfortunate because it was really pretty. I am assuming that they are redoing the grass for the fields and the construction stopped during the outbreak. There are 4 tennis courts here and it is a pretty nice place to walk around. There are also softball/baseball fields and some basketball hoops, so there is a wide variety of sports that you can play while you are here. There is a well-paved sidewalk around the perimeter of the fields that is nice to jog through. It isn't my favorite park mostly because it is geared towards children to be able to play their respective sports, but if that is for you then this is a good park to get some practice in!
