Well I called him with a problem My horse had white line…read morefor the past year. She was almost healed and lost a shoe on the bad foot. The shoer I had used for 8 years Rod Haggie I called and couldn't seem to make it out for 3 days. I didn't want anymore damage and needed to work cows at pdrc Monday. As I need to sedate horse to shoe her I would not be able to work cows, and also had her shut in barn 24 hours a day to prevent any other damage. Called Pete and he said that he would come out and at least put shoe on bad foot. Said he would call back in 45 minutes after he checked his day and would be out to help. Well 9 hours later no call, no text, nothing left me hi and dry just as haggie did. From where I come from we keep our word. The is also a word called integrity. I wonder, does ol Pete and haggie have a clue of the meaning of that word. I DOUBT IT!!!

He was the most patient and gentle Horseshoer I have ever seen in action. He came out again yesterday to trim 2 of my geldings and put front shoes on my 3rd. Sounds like someone has been googling ME and is worrying too much about one bad review from 10 months ago. If you are that good, you wouldn't worry about one review. You can not please everyone. Again, it took 5 full months until my horses hooves grew out enough for another farrier to even attempt to get shoes back on him after trimmed by this business. My horse has been sound since last summer and ridden frequently at the wonderful age of 22! I guess living in San Francisco means I know nothing about horses...hmmm....I have 4 and I run a non-profit horse rescue. Copied and pasted email I received... " I am very educated and have been through school and am a certified farrier, and continue to educate myself by going to clinics and working under journeyman farriers, which im on my way to becoming a journeyman myself.Ya the misunderstanding was that I told you that ya your horse may go a little sore but he's feet would toughen up within a week or two...That was the best thing for your horse since he wasn't being ridden, it was winter and he was in soft ground, and his heels were very contracted from being " cowboy" and poorly shod for a long time. Eric White has been doing our horses and my clients horses feet for years. He is a top quality…read morefarrier. He trims and shoes the horse the way the horse needs. Not the latest fad. In regards to the last review, it is not your farriers job to correct your horse. The horse should be trained to stand for the farrier. To keep a great farrier such as Eric your horse needs to be well behaved and stand still. Eric has all kinds of patience but he also has more than enough business. He doesn't need to get under poorly behaving horses.

I have owned horses for 40 years, and Chris had been trimming my horses' feet for about 10 years…read more Under his care, my horses have not had any lameness issues (except for a couple of rounds of founder in one horse, but that was my own fault for keeping him on grass too long in the spring, and Chris helped a lot in his recovery). In any case, Chris does a careful, symmetrical; and hygienic trimming of the hoof, frog and sole which has kept my horses sound and true. One might wonder if the health of my horses' feet is due to nature or nurture? Well, when Chris was laid-up (from a non-horse-related injury) for a number of months, and I used a couple of different farriers in the interim, two of my horses suffered very bad abscesses that took months and thousands of dollars to resolve. This example is clearly anecdotal, and I will never know is these abscesses were coincidental, but I do know that my horses feet look and perform better when they are under Chris' care. I really appreciate the fact that he seems to sincerely care about the science of hoof health, and continues to do stay educated about it. An added bonus is that Chris is punctual, tidy, and quick to respond to messages. And on a trivial note, he keeps his shirt-tails tucked in, so no plumber's crack =)

He took on the challenge and over time repaired the damage the previous farrier had done to both horses. Now we are fine tuning how the horses move and he's awesome. Both horses feet are now solid and shoes are well balanced allowing both horses to gait properly.
