We got lucky with parking and found a spot right next to the farmer's market - there's a small lot if you want to try that. There's also a nice clean public park across the street where you can enjoy your treats. Along the street are a bunch of food trucks you can also try! The goods here ranges from freshly made food to produce to hand made jewelry. Every farmer's market day will be a little different, but if you happen to love pickles or loose leaf tea, I highly recommend the Chafolio stand for tea and The Crazy Cucumber stand for pickles.

It's located on a parking lot near what I think is the downtown Burbank area. Despite the small footprint, it still has what you need with some produce vendors and other vendors of various goods. Including prepared foods. Also, to be fair, it was crazy windy that day and it was only my first time coming. So it's possible that there's more vendors usually. The wind actually ruined some vendor's tent that particular day so it could've caused a few others to close down early. Most of them end around 1pm, so I felt lucky that the Montrose Harvest Market was open until 2. This was much smaller than I expected. They close down about 1 block of a street, and vendors of various types set up tables lining the sides (my google search said it's slightly bigger in spring/summer months). On one side is the farmer's market and on the other vendors are selling things ranging from old books to tuperware to fairy wings - there's also a bouncy play house for kids. In the middle are a few food vendors selling grilled corn, rotisserie chicken, hawaiian chicken, tamales, and a few other foods as well as honey, breads, cobbler pies, and nuts. But I was here for the farmer's market, and I was definitely underwhelmed. Still, this is a small town so I shouldn't have been expecting too much. There were about 10 tables set up with difference produce. This is February, and they had a bunch of different lettuces, strawberries, oranges and blood oranges, apples, avocados, broccoli, cauliflower, potatos, tomatos, onions, garlic, shallots, herbs, and I'm sure other things I'm forgetting.

During a trip up to LA/Pasadena, we decided to brave the heat and play tourist. I love a quaint and…read morehistoric downtown shopping area and that's definitely what this is. The shopping park opened in the 60s and has a couple of miles of individual mom and pop shops and restaurants. There is lots of street parking and multiple parking lots around the area. We snagged a street spot, checked the directory and headed east on Honolulu Ave toward the bookstores I was eyeing. We checked out two bookstores, a candy shop with Knick knacks, a couple of clothing stores, and a few jewelry stores. The area had such a vintage feel; it was great. Shop owners were friendly and helpful. Families walked about and sat and dined at one of the many restaurants with sidewalk tables. Drivers obeyed the posted speed limit and slowed down for pedestrians. We walked and shopped for almost three hours and never even made it to the other side of Ocean View to the stores on the west side...next time. Can't recommend this shopping district enough! Love your style, Montrose Shopping Park!
