Not a bad farmers market just wish it was bigger with more options and more venders and a little more drink options

When your market has more food vendor's than vegetable stalls, I think it's called a street fair, right?

I heard so much about this Atwater Village Farmers' Market and being Sunday, I wanted to give them…read morea try to see if it's good or not. Walked in at exactly 9am, and there was already a long line. They had a lot of food options to choose from along with lots of beautiful, real plants. They have over 30 vendors and some even let you try the food before buying them. Parking situation was a disaster, No parking and one of the streets near buy was closed. I had to circulate like 4 times, parked 2 blocks down and had to walk to the Market. I bought couple of scented candles, loaf of olive bread, 4 Croissants, dozen eggs, 4 beef Pupusas, fresh Sunflowers from their floral vendor, 2 regular size ground beef tacos with cheese and tomato from their taco stand, 2 Apricot preserves in a jar, got fresh berries. 5 Peaches, Strawberries, and blueberries, and one cup of decaf. Coffee to enjoy with my croissant. Place was clean, and dogs were very annoying being in the presence of food and people. They have dried fruit, nuts, few clothes, jewelry, and more.. A small pony ride with carousel in the back for kid's entertainment. Everything was overly priced and not worth paying the money for. You can get all that at your nearest grocery store for a lot more affordable prices. It was worth giving this place a try though.. I think I will stick to my Studio City Farmers market that is literally 5 minutes away from my house. They also don't have parking, but it is somewhat more manageable than this one was..Remaining food that doesn't sell, they make a donation to the nearest charities!

I got some fresh eggs, tangerines, pickles, an iced coffee, a breakfast burrito, and my favorite stand was the loose leaf tea from Chafolio. We got lucky with parking and found a spot right next to the farmer's market - there's a small lot if you want to try that. There's also a nice clean public park across the street where you can enjoy your treats. Along the street are a bunch of food trucks you can also try! The goods here ranges from freshly made food to produce to hand made jewelry. Every farmer's market day will be a little different, but if you happen to love pickles or loose leaf tea, I highly recommend the Chafolio stand for tea and The Crazy Cucumber stand for pickles.

I went with a couple of friends for dinner- we were around the area and thought it was an opportune time to show them a place they weren't familiar with! I've been here since I was a kid, and though some things changed, alot hasn't! This was during a world cup game, so it was very lively at pub areas as they were broadcasting live. Everyone was so invested, from the patrons, chefs, servers, and even line cooks! Went to a stall selling the 'best corned beef sandwich' from Magee's kitchen. The servers and cook were super nice and the corned beef on display made my mouth water! It was very good, and paired with their blood orange soda, wasn't too heavy! It was a big enough sandwich that I took the other half home! I also got a cornbread muffin from Gumbo pot- which was good but a little dry. There's plenty of shade, though the area is mostly outdoors- lots of trees and buildings with covers and awnings. There's a fancy French market in there and plenty of eating options (though open hours vary). Come by this historic stop, walk through the Grove, and enjoy the hustle and bustle!

I would even say that my early visits at this place introduced me to some new cuisines from different countries. Just a solid place to eat at whether or not you are going to the Grove. I will say that the parking situation is shared with the grove so it could get a little hectic. And the place can get really crowded.

Wow! My boyfriend and I spontaneously discover this hidden gem. The South Pasadena Farmers' Market…read moreis an award winning farmers' market that pops up every Thursday. We took the Metro - A Line over to the South Pasadena Station and we could immediately smell the delicious barbecue and hear the live music from the market nearby. Follow your senses! I think taking the Metro would be easier than finding parking since it was really busy. We were both surprised about how large this farmers' market was with many food vendors, artisan goods, and of course fresh fruits and vegetable taking up multiple streets. Definitely the type of place you want to go to enjoy some snacks here, and then take some produce and goods home. One of the first things I saw were oysters but we were patient and decided to walk through the whole market first to see what our options are. After walking through the whole event, we came back for the oysters, and also got some roasted corn and a nutella crepe. Yum! Also we both felt like the prices with the vendors here were all very fair and reasonable. As my boyfriend puts it, you can get some of your favorite fair snacks without being price gauged. Also, there is a free museum in the area about the history of Pasadena that is open late on Thursdays to align with the farmers' market. Overall I felt like this is one of the biggest farmer markets I've been to with a wide variety of snacks, vendors, goods, and entertainment. Thursdays are normally hard for us to trek to the area after work, but I would definitely be back when my schedule allows. I'll bring my big cooler bag next time to take more goodies home with me.

Compared…read moreto other popular or well known Farmers Markets in the LA area, I would say this one is not particularly large, but what it lacks in sheer size, it makes up in the amazing vendors that come through. During my visit, I saw all the farms that I've heard about or seen on menus around town. Including but not limited to: Harry's Berries, Weiser Family Farms, Wong Farms, Ha's Apple Farm, etc. I was so excited to walk through and see so much gorgeous produce the the farms brought to this market. I focused more on the fruits because during my visit it was in prime fruit season especially for strawberries, mangoes, etc. I reserved prior to my visit a case of the Valencia Pride mangoes from Wong Farms. They may the best mangoes I've ever had the privilege of eating. I brought some strawberries from Harry's Berries and melons from Weiser to a friend get together and everything was a huge hit. I grabbed some peaches from Ha's for general snacking as well. All the vendors were just so friendly. Shopping for some of the best produce I've ever had was such a delight. I came really early in the morning, so everything was available. Because of the quality of the produce here a lot of things sell out within a few hours. I parked along the road about a block away.

The market itself is smaller than some of the other ones nearby, but I love the variety of produce and particularly fruit. Almost every Saturday, I buy whatever is in season and delicious. I usually stop at Guzman Farms for plums, pears, Weiser Family Farms for melons and potatoes, and Underwood Farms for all my vegetables. Underwood is always busy, but I do love that they have a frequent shopper punch card to save $10 after you get enough punches. When they are there, I will also get fruit/peaches from Tonarelli (which has my favorite peaches) and Galpin Farms Some of the other notable stands include eggs, meat, fish and baked goods. There are a few prepared food stands like a tamale stand, pita/spreads, and Italian food. I know that many farmer's markets have become like food courts, but that's not really the case here. Parking can be difficult but if you get there early around 7:30 am, there are still a good number of spaces available.
