Parking was in as structure and for the three hours we were there it was about $16 dollars. It was a nice evening, I would definitely visit again.

Alas those days are long gone and my grandpa can no longer drive, a bit sad and a bit nostalgic to look back on, I digress. It's a huge mall and I definitely prefer it over going to the Americana across the street (free parking here and such), but again, it's a huge mall that attracts all around, so parking can get quite busy, especially on the weekends, so keep that in mind. I like that there's an attached Target and lots of shopping and dining options. They have all of the franchises that you find at a standard mall and at a higher end mall too, so you get a good mix of both. There's an Apple Store, Beard Papa (not many of these left sadly), Bath and Body Works, Heytea, Hot Topic, Kura, Lacoste, Lush, Marugame Udon, Miniso, Molly Tea, Pop Mart, the Lego Store (I remember visiting this as a child), Uniqlo, Tokyo Life Style, etc. There's a markedly newer and lively part of the mall and when you go to the periphery, there's a strange mini floor on one of the top floors and the crowds start parsing through. It used to be the only mall where we could get some of these franchises and foods or we'd have to travel more into the OC, but now that the Santa Anita mall has almost every business that I would need, going to the Glendale Galleria is a once in awhile treat if we're already in the area.

After that, we all had dinner together at Kura Sushi. After dinner at Kura Sushi, I decided to pick up another kabob to go for my other brother at home. As I was walking back to Kura Sushi with the food, I passed by the restroom area near the food court and a kiosk that appeared to offer eyebrow tattooing services. A Hispanic female janitor was cleaning the area. My mom had called me and was asking me to come back quickly, so I was walking at a very fast pace with the takeout order in my hand. Suddenly, the female janitor jabbed me in the arm and started speaking angrily in Spanish. I couldn't understand a single word she was saying, and I was completely shocked by her behavior. I assume that because I was walking quickly to get back to my mom, I may not have noticed that she had placed a caution sign and was cleaning that section of the floor. Perhaps I accidentally walked through the area she was working on. Even so, I found it completely unacceptable for someone to jab me in the arm like that. To make matters worse, she kept speaking to me in Spanish, which I could not understand. I honestly thought her behavior was very inappropriate. I simply responded, "Please speak English and do not touch me, OK?" My mom was waiting for me and wanted to leave right away, so I didn't have time to continue the conversation and just walked away. However, the more I think about what happened that day, the more upset it makes me. I sincerely hope I never experience something this unpleasant again. Glendale Galleria should do a better job of training its employees on how to interact respectfully with customers.

And this location is the only one that released the exclusive California roll! Yes it's a bit pricey for plush but they're so cute lol The California roll was $30. I know sounds crazy but very cute. There was many other items to pick from too. I also got the broccoli and ginger and carrot and garlic. Sounds like I'm about to make me some type of stir fry lol The grove is a very cute place to visit! It's like an outside mall but also feels like you're walking around in a small town or even Disneyland. Super cute place to shop and dine.

Several different retailers from Sears, Macy's, World Market, Body and Bath Works, See's Candies, Victoria's Secret, Vans, Burlington, and dozens of other national and local retailers. There is also an AMC Theater inside the mall. There's not much to their "Food Court" as there are other dining/snacking options throughout the complex. There are 3 levels of shopping and dining. The reason for the 3-star rating is the condition of the mall in certain areas. The management doesn't take really good care of the center. There are out of order elevators with others that needed a good cleaning or an upgrade. See pictures. The center does offer a large garage with free parking. That's very rare in Los Angeles. The garage looks very dated, but it served its purpose, so no major complaints.

Abundant parking available. One day, I would like to come here and just walk around to get a better exploration of this place. We don't always come this far into town, but when we have, the Town Center architecture and list of shops and restaurants has provided a siren call. We finally answered it a few weeks ago, stopping at Panera Bread. We ended up driving around much of the complex, since we didn't know exactly where Panera was located. That revealed lots of free parking options, and a uniquely shaped center. Will definitely have to come back and explore more when we have more time. I'm always up for a walk-through at HomeGoods, so there's another draw, right off the bat! Luna Grill sounds interesting and worth checking out. Blaze Pizza sits next to Panera Bread, offering another fast casual dining option. The eclectic style architecture mixes a dash of Mediterranean with Craftsman, which takes a bit of doing to pull off, but they've seem to have made it work. It's a mash-up, yeah, that's it! Nice to experience a home town shopping / dining plaza with some innovation and stylish character.

I was a little confused because I took an elevator which spat me outside when I thought this was an indoor mall. It turns out that some stores are outside, while the majority are inside. If you're looking for somewhere to go in the middle of a heatwave in LA, this place has amazing AC. At one point I was even rubbing my arms because it was so cold inside. I'm a sucker for anything cute, so I was glad there were so many Japanese stores that reminded me of my trip to Tokyo. A couple of the stores even had the rows of vending machines that drop out capsules with various items inside. It was disappointing to see one of the stores had a broken token machine, so you couldn't use the vending machines even if you wanted to. Both the stores and restaurants are a mix of reasonably priced to expensive. If you go to one of the actual restaurants instead of one of the fast food places at the food court, I'd recommend making reservations since the one I went to is notorious for having long lines. Both at the store and the restaurant I went to, the employees greeted me and were friendly, asking if I'd want any help or letting me know about discounts they had that day. All malls are pretty much the same, so I wouldn't go out of my way just to visit this one, but if you're in the area, need somewhere to hide from the heat, the free AC and parking here are definitely a draw.

But the signs can improve a bit for better direction. I was so confused how to get to the parking near D&B entrance. Also, the parking garage seemed under maintained. While it was great to see only two empty storefronts, most businesses sell overpriced to super overpriced products to stay afloat. The mall is dated-looking, with a defunct water fountain, but the open second floor bathed in natural sunlight gives off soothing, chill vibes. The food court has about 9 places, mostly Korean but also a Vietnamese and Japanese katsu options. We ate fresh bi bim naeng myun (very chewy buckwheat noodles), ja jang myun (chewy noodles with black bean sauce and a nice amount of minced beef or pork), and fish cake on a skewer. Some places charge for a to go container and the cranky employee at the naeng myun place (the name's only in Korean, Kang San Myun Ok, refused to sell me to go in separate containers. Excuse me for wanting to separate the chewy noodles from the broth, as the noodles will lose elasticity from a long drive. The food court had many televisions broadcasting a World Cup match. There eating area is spacious with tables are cleared and wiped quickly. The outdoor dining are was closed the day we went. The supermarket is huge, organized and has the viral fruit-shaped ice cream that I adore, for $4.99 each. There's a Cake House bakery with mildly sweet Asian pastries and hot beverages. Their cakes are very expensive and beautiful. Cake slices are also sold. The mall has women's clothes, skin care, a bank, bookstore, children's toys, handbags and jewelry, and knick-knacks or collectibles. There's even a flower shop on a parking level right by the supermarket entrance. We were surprised to spend about 4 hours there. It's easy to spend a lot of time here as the parking is free!
