Took some customers to Crave this week. I've been in the past and always a good choice. In the past, I've stuck with their sushi rolls which are huge and amazing. Decided to mix it up this time and went for the short rib. It's was good but it fell short of my expectation. Nothing wrong with it, I like to say I was "whelmed" and not overwhelmed. I started with the chicken chopped salad which was huge, nicely dressed and full of craisins, apples and all the normal stuff. Could be a meal in itself. My clients were happy with their choices. Each time I've eaten here service has been good, food is very mediocre but I might not be trying the best dishes so I will explore that more in future visits. The lobster tasted like catfish - fishy. It was tough as well. I had the lobster Mac and cheese. I only ate 4 bites - 3 of them with pasta only because after the 1st bite with the fishy-tasting lobster, I couldn't eat any more. The cheese sauce wasn't even good. It was thin and watery. read more

Not much needs to be said about this gem but in a hotel, you do not know what to expect but this place hit it right on the nail. The burger was the definition of a smash burger. Burger was juicy and very flavorful. Fries were a solid upgrade so very glad that I did that. Service was kind and fast during our experience here. read more

The service was extremely friendly and helpful, our food came out super fast (it was earlier like I mentioned). My coworker and I both agreed it was the best egg roll we have ever had. The ingredients tasted fresh and the combo with the ranch was delicious. He had an old-fashioned. Best put; it was simple. If you like them, you'll like this one! (((( TAKE A HARD PASS )))) Just flew in from Denver and didn't want to cook, so thought we'd find something in downtown Sioux Falls. CRAVE's online menu looked good, but that was where it all stopped. Looks are deceiving. Ordered the Kogi beef tacos, and the Asian chicken lettuce wraps. Kogi beef tacos or just OK, but the problem is the meat is in huge chunks. Could've been shredded after cooking to be more convenient to eat. But everybody bite meant a big chunk of beef you had to work through. Not worthy of the price either. But as overstaffed as this place was, no wonder they have to charge so much. Next, the lettuce wraps were an abysmal presentation on the plate and you had to basically build them yourself. Which actually left you no room on the plate to do anything, and once again the meat (chicken) came in huge chunks. The overall flavor was not worthy of the cost. Last but not least came the crappy service. Waitress only ask us once if everything was OK and never bothered to offer to refill our drinks. We asked for the check and here's where the final rub came. Rather than presenting us with a paper tab, or leaving a handheld computer at our table for us to complete the final transaction, she simply pulled up our total tab on her handheld computer device and shove it in your face and said "there's your total". So basically she stands there waiting for us to determine how we are going to pay, be it cash or card. Now we like to discuss among ourselves how much we should tip the individual based on the service we received. Needless to say she's going to sit there and watch us determine the amount that she gets for a tip. Tacky, tacky, tacky. That was the straw that broke the camels back for us and the main reason why I decided to give this review. Now, I began this review by saying we just flew in from Denver, home of some of the best food in the country, and some of the best service. Come on South Dakota. You need to do better. Oh, and for what it's worth, if you look at all the other reviews, no member of management at CRAVE bothers to respond to any of the reviews. Enjoyed our recent dinner for 4 (including one child) at Crave. We were seated promptly and when we requested a different seating option, it was quickly accomodated. The lobster bisque was delicious - different than many other lobster bisque I have ever had with a really nice spice taste left behind. The firecracker shrimp was a large portion that was wonderfully crispy with a taste of sriracha. The spicy tuna crispy rice was also delicious and was served with some wasabi but no soy. The children's salmon with fries was a big hit (wow - salmon on the children's menu!). The cedar plank salmon and the Chilean sea bass were nicely presented and delicious. The service was, for the greater, part, attentive and was definitely knowledgable. Prices were appropriate. Only 'downside' could be parking availability. read more

5 of us came in a little after 4 on a Saturday and were rushed through the entire meal: 1. we barely touched the appetizers when the main dishes were served 2. not even halfway (!!!) through the meal the waitress asked if we were ordering desserts 3. we ordered several cocktails and desserts, and Tiramisu had the same chocolate (!!!) layers as a chocolate cake 4. half way thru our after dinner cocktail we were told they needed a table for some party who had a reservation- after spending $300+ we felt unwelcomed and needless to say will advise from going there read more

Great venue, has a nice outside patio overlooking the river. Sushi is very good, actually everything on the menu is good, have ate there many times. The chicken avocado egg rolls are amazing! Service is always very good. Always a stop when in town, would definitely recommend to give it a shot. read more

I couldn't recommend this place enough!!! The staff were AMAZING, so kind and accommodating. We stayed in the hotel and they made us feel at home with a warm welcome. The sushi is delicious! Prior to visiting this resaurant, I went to their website and was pleasantly surprised to see that not only did they off vegetarian menu options, they also clearly offer vegan options. I liked that items with VEGAN in the menu titles are 100% vegan and items with the "GO VEGAN" designation are menu items that can be made vegan with noted substitutions. Although the restaurant is located inside the Hilton Garden Inn, we were easily able to find the restaurant. After looking at the vegetarian/vegan menu options, we ordered vegan truffle Parmesan fries to share, veggie stir fry for me and the Crave veggie burger which is an impossible burger with vegan bacon and fries for hubby. Since we were in a hurry, we decided to get our food to go and our order was ready in twenty minutes. The vegan truffle parmesan fries had a great balance of vegan parmesan along with what I felt was garlic and was perfectly paired with vegan dipping sauce and ketchup. My veggie stir fry was flavorful as well as seasoned and I appreciated that they customized my dish by adding tofu. Hubby was a little disappointed that although his burger was supposed to come to with a smoked cheddar cheese slice (either dairy or nondairy,) the burger consisted of the Impossible burger patty, lettuce, vegan bacon and sauce but no cheese. Other that the missing cheese from hubby's burger, we enjoyed our meals but plan to dine inside the restaurant near time we visit as a way for hubby to confirm toppings are added to that food he orders. read more

This restaurant is located inside the lobby of the Hilton Garden Hotel. Server Austin was great - enthusiastic, efficient. He recommended some of the entrees since we weren't that hungry. The crispy Brussel sprouts and the chicken avocado roll was good. The King Kong roll was average, the roll temperature was cold since this roll was flash fried with a tempura batter. This usually isn't the top of my list when I'm visiting but I had the BEST experience. Sat outside at the bar on a very pleasant evening. The music playlist was excellent, relaxing but not boring. The service at the bar was attentive without being too much. And this lemon curd cheesecake was amazing. read more

This restaurant is located inside and outside a Hilton Garden Inn. We opted to eat outside, and it was such a pleasant evening with a wonderful water view. We were visiting Sioux Falls for my husband's work. He ate here the last time he was here and said the Crave Burger was the best burger he has ever had. He also had an omelet the last time and said it was really good, too. So we decided to eat here this time and it was good! We had the Crave Burger with Truffle Parmesan Fries ($16.95 + $2.00 extra for the special fries) and Veggie Truffled Mushroom Flatbread ($15.95). The food was very flavorful and delicious, and the portions were good. We had leftovers! Our server Alex M. was joyfully and good! Crave is a surprisingly decent restaurant located in the Hilton Garden in Downtown Sioux Falls. On a recent visit to Sioux Falls, due to a dearth of restaurants open in the downtown area on Sundays on Mondays (and also due to the fact that I was staying at the hotel), my friend and I decided to eat at Crave. Service was very attentive and friendly, and the restaurant was jam packed. I ordered the steak frites and my friend had a vegetarian tofu dish. While the steak frites was not a true steak frites in the Parisian style, the meat was cooked just as I had requested, and was delectably tender, accompanied by a very generous helping of fries. My only critique is that the prices are high for Sioux Falls, but it is technically in a hotel so I guess that is to be expected. If you are in Sioux Falls and need a place to go on a Sunday evening, or any other night of the week, I highly recommend Crave. read more

This is one of my fav go to places in Sioux Falls, it's always someone there to greet me to a seat. I'm a non meat eater so this is one of the main reason I love this place because they offer vegetarian and vegan meal options. When I come here I always get the cucumber and avocado rolls. They are simple and are a hit. One particular night I went which was a late Saturday, the servers were still energized and peculiar to attention to detail. I appreciate that. With a meal I got I even asked the server to give me thank you to the chef because this sauce I had got in this meal was superb and tasty. I sat in a booth in the restaurant and it was nice and cozy to where I got to study a little while waiting for my meal. Crave y'all always got a chance to receive my money. I asked the server what the best thing they served was and he literally reiterated the menu Had the food delivered the promise of the menu's author I would not be so disappointed . We ordered something from every section of the menu and there was nothing remarkable served to us. I take that back. The kikkoman tasted like it was supposed to. The horseradish not so much. Asking someone how they want their protein prepared suggests that they were plaiting meals individually, and that was definitely not the case. We got bulk prepped everything. The fish was rubber and flavorless, the red meat was served grey, and the pasta was so soft that you could have poured it through a strainer. Little Debbie made our dessert and even though it was beautiful it tasted like cardboard. The thoughtful addition of ice cream to aid in the swallowing process made it easier to appreciate, but it is difficult to mess up ice cream. I regret reading the menu. read more

The wife and I have been wanting to try this place for a while now. So we once again put on our semi formal fancy pants and drove to the downtown. The restaurant is attached to a hotel, but upon entering, it has a cozy restaurant feel. Decor is nice, wine racks, nice chandeliers, nice bar, candle lit tables. We were seated and greeted by our waitress Karissa. She was excellent. Friendly and attentive. We started our order with an appetizer of parmesean truffle fries, a pineapple mojito, and a red bull watermelon margarita. Then, I ordered lemon garlic chicken dinner, Chilean Sea Bass wirh mushroom risotto, sushi spider roll, and some unagi. Drinks and Parm fries were delicious. Fries come with ketchup and some other delicious dip. The eel was cold, which I'm not used to. It should be served hot with eel sauce coating it. Cold eel isn't the most pleasant taste. The Spider roll was decent. No complaints. The Lemon Chicken was delicious. Moist, cooked perfect. The best dish was the Sea Bass with the Mushroom Risotto. The mushrooms and sauce were amazing. A must try dish if you go here. For dessert, we had the Tiramisu bite and the French Silk bite. Top notch desserts. The French silk is out of this world. Aside from some cold eel, this place is a must try. Anyone who lives in Sioux Falls or enjoys trying great restaurants can't miss out on this place. Definitely will be back again. read more

Having looked at the reviews I'm really surprised this has anything less than four stars. I always go for my go to meals... The chicken wings, outstanding, and they have two for one on Mondays. The chicken, BLT pomegranate salad with dried cherries also a winner and great value. The classic chicken dishes also great the burger fantastic. Now, if you're coming to Sioux Falls for sushi, shame on you because it's sushi in Sioux Falls and I do not have a four-star expectation for such. I am in no position to write the sushi menu because I've never ordered it but everything else on that menu is four stars or better as I've tried it on the numerous times I've been to town and as a Hilton Diamond Member this restaurant is so convenient for my every stay in Sioux Falls. Over the past 8 months I have stayed at the HGI in Sioux Falls, SD several times. While this HGI is very nice and most of the staff is very good, my experience just today was reprehensible. Be that as it may, the highlight of staying at the HGI most definitely is dining at Crave! As I was looking forward to dining at Crave once again Friday evening, I made a reservation on OpenTable as I usually do for 7:00p. I always request a booth since it's just myself, so this time, once again, no problem. I must say that being a Bourbon and Rye afficionado, the selection at Crave are excellent. Last night I went with my go-to which is Basil-Hayden's. For dinner I started with the Wedge Salad. It was delish! Great size, very crisp and plenty of Bacon...mmmMMM! For my entré I went with the Filet Mignon. It came with Truffle Mashed Potatoes and several spears of Grilled Asparagus. I like my steak rare to medium-rare and this was grilled to perfection! The ambiance of Crave is very laid-back. At times it can get a bit loud due to the crowd size, but it has always been an excellent dining experience. Last evening was no exception. read more

What a wonderful dinner experience this evening at Crave. The atmosphere of the restaurant is top notch, as is the connected HGI Hotel. Chad was fabulous and recommended the Chicken Rosa when I asked about it and he was spot on! It was a perfect meal with the addition of Grilled asparagus. De-lish!! The risotto with the Sea Bass was creamy and buttery- delicious! The service was really good. I was in crutches and the hostess sat us in a booth so I could put my leg up - very considerate. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, timely, and not too talkative. She was just right! The overall ambiance was relaxing. It has contemporary decor, tastefully done with gorgeous light fixtures. Made a stop here for the burger battle 2022. The place is laid out really nice. It is a restaurant within a hotel of course. We were greeted and seated quickly. The fresh made sushi caught my eye as we were seated. Now I have to admit the prices are well above my comfort level but on a good day I am sure I could be happy to try it. Now back to the burger. The description caught our eye. The ordering was simple. As we cut into the burger the meat was cooked to order and so juicy. Always stay at the Hilton and make my way to Crave for dinner one or 2 nights during my stay. It's a chain but very good food. On this night I decided to skip the sushi and ordered the wedge salad $9 and the miso glazed Chilean sea bass over sweet pea risotto with mushrooms $34. Wedge was a typical wedge, large and very good. Sea bass was cooked well and tasty. Crispy on the outside just the way I like it. The risotto was good. A little bland but cooked perfectly. Service was good, quick and attentive. My only issue was my fish came out almost right after my salad I hate that, I hate when the entree is rushed. A solid meal and worth the visit read more
