It's been quite some time since I have been in Crate & Barrel. So very glad I took my time to peruse and purchase a couple of items. The SouthPark location has two levels where you will find your furniture on the upper level and your seasonal and everyday items on the lower. What a breath of fresh air to walk in, be greeted, and offered assistance if needed. After exchanging a few pleasantries, I was off on my merry little way. There was absolutely no hovering which was, to me, nothing less than sensationally stellar. I was able to try out every piece of furniture that caught my eye and for however long that I pleased. I simply enjoyed my time doing what I love, which is admiring the various stagings (always looking for new ideas), looking at the various textures and colors available, and smelling every candle that I wanted to. I was in paradise! The visit was an all in all pleasurable experience. Rest assured I will pop in the next time I am in town. read more

It's been years since I last stopped into this store, but I remembered just how much I liked this place! For some reason, the place had more household/kitchen accessories than l had thought (remembered). They had so much inventory to browse through...and many items I was itching to bring home, especially their rustic wooden plate set! I also loved how the sales rep didn't pressure sale here...by just letting you browse around in comfort, without following you around. If only the place was warmer, with a more inviting vibe. Maybe warmer store lighting and some overhead music would have helped? Although clean and bright, I felt that the overall shopping ambiance was too stark...and a bit uncozy. Still, I liked the place enough to hand over all 5 stars. So glad we decided to revisit! read more

Great selection of kitchen stuff here. I was amazed to find *exactly* what I was looking for as a gift and the price was absolutely reasonable. Color me impressed. As for the service here, an absolutely top notch young lady working the register who provided a box, wrapping and tissue paper, bow and card. She even offered to wrap the present, too. Just great customer service. Parking can be a bit of a pain as this outparcel from the Southpark Mall has limited spaces. Head to the parking deck. read more

I have been a loyal C&B customer for years, but my experience at the Southpark store was beyond infuriating. Yes, COVID exists. Yes, there are mask rules but there are EXCEPTIONS to every rule, as stated by the governor of our state and even by the CDC. This is not the case here. I cannot wear a mask but this was unacceptable to the mask-Nazi employee who accosted me at the store. I was there to return an online purchase and buy one small thing. I went right when the store opened and there was maybe one other customer there. If I had been able to grab the item I needed, make the exchange, I'd have been out of there in less than 5 minutes. The employee who approached me insisted I wear a mask, which my doctor has said I shouldn't wear, and wouldn't take that as an acceptable answer. Rather than get into a pissing match with an angry employee, I walked away from him and asked the lady at the register to assist with my exchange while I waited outside. This experience was SO frustrating on so many levels. The fact that their company has a mandatory rule with no exceptions is a complete joke. Borderline discriminatory. This experience and employee has now soured me so much that I will NEVER shop at Crate & Barrel ever again. Pottery Barn and Williams Sonoma will be thrilled to have my business! read more

We had a very good customer service experience with Kelly who was extremely helpful in giving us some information and assistance with regards to purchasing a lot of new stuff for our house. We just moved across country for a last minute move and left most of our things behind. Set apart from the hustle and bustle of the mall itself, Crate & Barrel is two full floors of the most rad and modern, fashionable furniture and housewares around. I have no idea how I missed going in for the first time until not long ago. This stuff, along with items from shops like west elm and IKEA, will be sure to grace my home one day when I make it to pickin' in the high cotton. The staff is always just friendly and helpful enough, but out of your way when you want to burn some time just feeling out the way a couch or chair ergonomically hugs your contours. The possibilities for decking out a kitchen and dining areas in particular are endless here - and I'm a man who loves those rooms most! Needless to say I can get lost pretty easily trying to figure out what I want. The colors and selection are, like I said, very modern. Lots of straight lines and dark woods. Furniture is almost always out of real woods from oak to bamboo. Shag rugs and pillows of every variety and furniture that makes you think "How did they do that?!" Of course I am opinionated and there are some items here which I think are a lot less functional outside of being an obstacle for you to trip over in your home. Overall this stuff is just amazing beyond description. The furniture is highly functional, chairs and sofas surprisingly comfy and the choices for kitchen-wares are endless. The only issue here is the price but I think it fits for the area and ultimately the quality of what you're looking at here. Ok, so some of these places can be like hearding cattle through the process with an overly pretentious sales force, but not this location. We have recently had a wedding and built a new home that desperately needed furnishing. We shot a lot online but chose to come to the brick and mortar location to touch and feel the things we will love with in our house for a very long time. Being tactile and wanting to "try before you buy" is always the best way to be when shopping for high quality household items. We purchased 8 Italian dining room chairs and Ferrell the furniture specialist was incredible! We have a professional designer who helped us with our house decorating needs, and after I rent rouge and picked out these chairs at C&B for my table, my designer was in full support of their quality and design. I'm very happy about the deals that C&B offer as well as the wonderful staff who are always eager to help. We even wanted a few glasses that were being discontinued so they reached out to other stores in different states to have them shipped directly to our home. Amazing customer service. I went back last week after failing to use my online gift card to get an office table, and Ferrell was there to help make the process smooth and successful. GREAT JOB!! A great place for gifties for yourself, a soon-to-be-married couple or just about anyone. This particular Crate & Barrel is just off of SouthPark mall with (fairly) limited parking on the weekends. I often come here, walk around and find at least two or three things I don't need but I must have. Whether it's kitchenware (glasses of all kinds are super affordable), dining room linens, picture frames, home decor or furniture, this Crate has it all. Plus, two levels. Woot! Staff are all quite helpful and nice - comes in handy when you're registering for wedding gear or picking up a present. So...this weekend I was eyeballing the website & came across some goodies that I had to have. Well, mainly I wanted them for Milo. :D They offer phone orders / buy online, pick up in the store options. CONVENIENCE, people - I love it! So, Saturday morning I called at 10 AM (when they opened) & spoke with Jeff - an associate. He patiently & efficiently entered in my SKUs & let me know how many of each item they had. We also chit chatted about the items I was getting, so it was a very personable conversation. After "ringing" me up over the phone, he let me know those items would be ready to pick up whenever I was ready - within a two week time table. When I went in yesterday (Sunday) to pick them up, I checked in with an associate, who went to the back & retrieved my bag. Everything was nicely wrapped up & placed neatly in the bag. To me, all Crate & Barrels are fantastic, so I'm always going to rate them fairly high. They're all so modern, clean, and fresh. This one (the only one) in Charlotte stands out because it's a two-story freestanding store and carries a large supply of bedroom and living room furniture on their second floor as well as the regular home decor that C&Bs carry. I love walking through their room displays and imagining what my house could look if I had thousands of dollars to plunk down on the counter. Until then, I scope out their sale items of other miscellaneous goods. This past weekend, I got great deals (about 1/2 off) on a deep lasagna dish, quiche dish, and set of ramekins. Great place to kill time, get ideas, and be inspired. Everything in the store is pretty modern and clean - I don't really have much to compare the one in Charlotte to (except the ridiculous 4 story one in Chicago) but I think 2 levels is a good even number and doesn't seem too overwhelming. Well - let's call it 2.5... if you enter in from the Mall side, theres a mini escalator. I call it the half floor :) I usually like giving gifts from here since it is a popular place that people register at for Weddings and events. They do a great job packaging for shipments and also wrapping if you are at the store. Normally I go to the store to actually see the item before making my decision to buy online and ship it direct. Never had a bad experience, the staff is very warm and welcoming, but not in-your-face about trying to help you. read more

I visited the Crate&Barrel location near the South Park Mall recently, and this store is phenomenal! To start, the people who work here are amazingly helpful and friendly. They are very attentive and really want to help you with whatever it is you are looking for. For me, it was a new countertop water filtration system - I bought mine from here a few weeks back, and it recently started making a crazy loud noise like it was getting ready to throw itself off of my countertop. I lugged it in there with no box, and no receipt, and they took it back and replaced it with no problem. I also want to mention that if you are getting married, you should definitely check it out for a registry. They have EVERYTHING you could need, and some really great and unique products that you probably won't find elsewhere. If you buy your bedding from there (which we did), they ship it to you for free. I had to come here to get a wedding gift. I walked in and saw the computer to print out the registry. It was very easy to do. As soon as I got done printing my items, a very sweet associate named, Maggi, asked me if I needed any help. I told her what all I was looking for and she helped find where everything was. She was even trying to hold my items for me while I looked. There was one product that we couldn't find so she checked the computer system to see if it was available or not. She was so sweet! She took so much time in helping me find my stuff as well as ringing me up and packing up my items really good and putting them in a box. I felt so spoiled! Beautiful store, however I felt like staff was giving a little too much customer service. I'm not sure if they thought I was trying to steal something or what, but every three minutes someone would come up to me and someone was always hovering nearby. All I did was stand by plates as I decided which size I wanted to go with. I'll most likely just do pick up orders from now on. read more

I LOVE Crate and Barrel! This location always has stuff in stock and the staff is extremely helpful. I've been here plenty of times (every time I go to the mall), but one of the first times was for our wedding registry. A couple times in the year they have private registry parties so we went to one. They let you browse through the store before hours so it's not busy and they offer you pastries and OJ. It was super vice. The staff also helped us pick out our kitchen plates/settings which we LOVE! The color combo they picked was something I would have never imagined would go good together. I'm a fan! read more

On 12/ 6/20 around 6:45pm, my mom was giving the worst customer service ever and to top it off she was being racially profiled by three of your employees! It's really sad that you have to be dressed a certain or look a certain in order to be treated the right way! I'm very disappointed because I love shopping at this store but I won't continue giving my money to a company that can't treat people equally. Since registering here for our wedding, I have always received top notch customer service at C&B. I went yesterday to pick up a gift for someone else's wedding and it was no different. I actually ordered off their registry online for store pick up. I received texts and emails letting me know when it was ready so I didn't waste a drive down there. Also, they ask about combining the gifts into one box or keeping them in separate boxes. It was easy when I got there - just gave them my name, order number, and a guy from the back brought out the gift. I also was looking for an umbrella stand, which I realize probably isn't a common item to find. however, I had three wonderful staff associates helping me, relaying to each other about things in the back and searching two floors for the one we saw online. I was very impressed with the customer service team approach. Everyone was very nice, knowledgable, and super helpful. They will let you shop on your own but be close by for any questions. read more

I could mosey around this store day after day and wouldn't get bored. I love crate and barrel. I could easily spend too much money during each visit, so I will often leave my credit card in the car! That way if I really need something or want something, I have to go out to the car and think about it again before buying. We've bought several pieces of furniture from this location. If you need help in this department, ask for Tamara. She is extremely helpful and not pushy. The only complaint I have is the parking lot. I always park in the parking garage across from the store because the parking spots are horrible out front. Large SUVs will take up several spaces and backing out of a space is a little scary. Save yourself a headache and go to the garage. Your car is more protected and it's shaded for those warm Charlotte days! read more

Terrible experience. I ordered an office set and window treatment from CB in different orders. When my items got delivered, CB messed up everything. The desk has a drawer that is broken. One window panel was missing, and a window rod was damaged when shipped to us. I specially ordered 2 day shipping to rush my project but the errors failed it. read more

Stopped in last week, after i pampered myself with a facial. I could spend hours in this store, especially in the kitchen and food area. Finally got the Viv Sparkling Glass Set of 8, great price and good purchase as we entertain quite a lot, especially in the summer. The check-out staff is always friendly.
