We did not have breakfast here as we were hurrying to our next destination. Give yourself more time than expected as there was a line when we were checking out around 9 am. There is free parking on site which is always very convenient, and pets are allowed here too. There is a pool with water slide and a hot tub. The place was packed with people, especially children since it was the last week of Spring break, There is also a gym here. Our room was surprisingly big. There was a sitting area with sofa and fireplace. There was also a microwave besides the usual fridge and coffee maker. No bottled water. The bathroom was equally spacious with a big bath tub and seating area. You could fit two in it. Same with the separate shower area. I do not understand why there are showerheads on both ends though, Maybe to save time if you are there with a partner to shower? Checking in and out was quite a breeze. No issue on that. Free wifi, not spotty at all.

Free breakfast included waffles, toast, fruit, yogurt, cereal, eggs etc. Room was clean and hotel was quiet. Thank you Squamish Sandman for accommodating us at short notice and for being so terrific!!

Our family usually goes off-grid camping but this year decided to glamp it up a bit. Wonderland aka MTN Fun is a great spot. Hot showers. Power. Free Wi-Fi. A convenient store with ice & treats. Nice sites and great for groups. Management's chill and friendly. Clean & well maintained. So close to Alice Lake and great for accessing bike trails. Online booking is convenient!

The campground host obviously has anger issues and escalated a situation where we were moving campsites in the middle of a long weekend where we had to book 2 separate sites to stay the full amount of time we wanted. When we moved our tent to the new site in the morning after a very friendly exchange with the family leaving the site, the host took the time to remove our tent, resell our site and cancelled the rest of our weekend without a refund. Not sure if he's just being greedy to take double booking when he can or if he is just aggressively making up rules that don't make any sense. He cited that it was an extremely busy weekend and he didn't have time to accommodate our request to move our tent earlier in the day, yet he then took the time to move our tent. Not fun having your weekend uprooted by someone like this. Save yourself the risk and find one of many other camping locations in Squamish. You'll be driving to your recreation activities anyway as this location has nothing special to offer in terms of location. MTB Stressed-out Basecamp. I wonder what other unspoken rules folks have been burned by with this guy? Cam is the worst!

We had few issues with the room upon check-in so we had to go up and down but then it got solved and we got good room. We got a nice complementary chocolate plate from the hotel for our 6th wedding anniversary. Parking was inside the garage and it was for additional cost $40 CAD which is very pricey. We heard that hotel has a free shuttle service to town, as well as drop off with a private car (first come first serve). We didn't used it because we wanted to walk since weather was so nice, maybe next time. Hotel has a few restaurants and cafes. We enjoyed nice lunch at Portobello, I highly recommend their cuban sandwich and Belgium hot chocolate. Breakfast place The Wildflower was very crowded and service was very bad. Most of the people take buffet and if you want to take a la carte you will wait even longer for the food. However, egg Benedict was excellent and cappuccino and latte is speciality coffee and cost extra but it's worth it. We reserved the Wildflower for anniversary dinner. The ambience doesn't feel like in an upscale restaurant, maybe because we used to this as a breakfast place... Food was good my husband took lamb loin, I took elk tar tar that was divine, clam chowder was good as well. But we didn't felt romantic atmosphere, the place was very casual and we felt like we were overdressed. Service was better than service at breakfast. Room was very spacious, we got higher floor with a village view. Hotel was fully booked because it was last day for sky gondola for blackcomb mountain. Pool and spa felt overpacked! There were sooo many kids and few hot tubs were out of service. Overall we enjoyed our stay, however we felt it was bit overpriced. We loved the hotel, the location but service was lacking maybe because of the high demand.

Bedbugs and rats will be the least of your worries here, instead fear being a victim of human trafficking. Mattresses are ancient, keep your shoes on, don't worry about closing the washroom door (you can't), no air circulation, and filthy walls and touch points. Most concerning is the lack of safety. No front desk staff, outside doors open and available to any transient to come through the halls after a stop at the street level liquor shop owned by the hotel, No inside safety locks on hotel room doors. I would like a full refund.

Room: 205 My husband and I were planning to originally camp at Klahanie Campground, but due to an unexpected storm that rolled in a week before our trip, we cancelled and quickly booked this place. We have no regrets!! First, the location is excellent. It's right in downtown Squamish! We were able to drive a couple minutes to the beach lookout, walk to Howe Sound Brewing (or you can drive, if you want), down the street from Climb On store and grocery store, 10-15 minutes away from Shannon Falls and Murrin Park, 5 minutes from Smoke Bluffs, and 10 minutes from the Chief. It's right next to this nice liquor store, too. We never felt unsafe in this area. It seems like everyone is really friendly here. We met Jared and some of the housekeeping ladies. All were very nice! Jared was incredibly helpful and friendly. He recommended SO many things to do: Alice Lakes, Garibaldi, Chief hikes, Shannon Falls hikes/gondola, Murrin Park, some scenic lookouts, and places to eat. His wife was super friendly as well. Laundry soap is $1, but we only had a $2 coin, so she gave it to us free because she didn't have change. Our room was neat, simple and clean. We had a window view of the Chief. There's a good sized fridge and microwave. Two fans, if needed (we never used it). Tv. Wifi. Laundry drums were huge, which was convenient to do one load. Soda machine and dvds for borrowing. **Stairs only to get up to your rooms. We didn't mind at all, but just making a note for people who have a hard time walking up stairs.** **Unfortunately, our room was next to the kitchen exhaust from the Ruddy Duck. We didn't mind though and closed the windows.** **No breakfast/continental breakfast** The reason why I'm giving this place 5 stars is because it exceeds our expectations of places we generally stay at. We're used to staying in dirt cheap places that are generally 2 stars on our climbing trips. We knew that this was an old building and neighboring a pub, so we were prepared and brought earplugs :P If you're looking to book in Squamish without paying a fortune, stay here. But, don't have high expectations like it's the Ritz. We cannot complain that we had a nice roof over our heads from the wet weather for $50/night. Thanks, guys, we'll be back next time for sure!
