Slightly off the beaten path (only by a few blocks), it's a huge building with a big parking lot. Park underground to avoid shlepping your stuff by using the elevator that runs through the center of your building. Outdoor but covered pool AND hot tub (not mentioned in the description so a surprise bonus). Rooms are suites - with washer dryer (but no detergent). We had a queen with queen pullout couch. Included a balcony with a view of a gorgeous mountain across the way. Best part, a mere 45 min from Whistler and 1 hour from downtown Vancouver. Awful I was in a 1 bedroom and it was bigger,they moved me and 2 of my children to another room that is small and above the pool,and then refused to move me to a bigger unit,we also have a dog,not to mention the mold growing on the porch outside on the porch rails and the bricks not even done properly, poorly done room,and manager went back on their word to move us to a bigger suite,the cleaners are better then them,I would not suggest this hotel at all l,awful and very unprofessional.oh and the bricks on the porch wobble when you walk on them very hazardous,and huge wolf spiders coming in the unit. read more

A beautiful hotel with access to anything and everything outdoors. No AC in the hallways which sucks on the 4th floor. But staying during a heat wave and I really don't think it would matter for most of the year. Our room on the 4th floor is like a tiny apartment. Complete with kitchenette and laundry closet. We had the two bedroom suite and it was great. One bedroom was a little small (hard to pass the dresser and bed- they were only inches apart on one corner. But I was happy the bed was a queen and not a full- so totally something you can over look Suite came with a beautiful view, balcony, fireplace, two bathrooms, a full kitchen and all cooking utensils etc and a washer and dryer. And it was in EXCELLENT condition Nice heated pool and jacuzzi. Excellent weight/work out room Front desk is extremely helpful and friendly. Last weekend, my sister-in-law invited my husband and I to join her and her daughter and partner for a weekend in Squamish. They had booked a room at the Executive Suites Hotel & Resort, so we also booked a room there. The room wasn't cheap, around $300 for one night, but at least the hotel was nice and very clean. (While I did not inspect every inch of our room, I didn't see anything to warrant alarm -- everything was clean and in good condition -- very impressed.) Our room was also very quiet -- I did not hear noise from another room, the hallway, or from outside, and we were on the ground floor, near the pool. It was probably the quietest hotel room I have been in. Top marks for quiet and cleanliness, two of the most important factors in a hotel. Despite the absolute peace and quiet and the comfortable bed, I had trouble sleeping due to the heat and the blinking wifi router light. First of all, the bedding consisted of a ridiculously thick duvet. It would even be too hot for me in the winter, never mind during a heatwave in the middle of July. Why do some hotels have thick, winter duvets as the only bedding option?! Luckily there was a bed sheet we were able to use as a blanket, but even that was too hot as the air conditioner wasn't working -- it would cool down the room to a somewhat tolerable level (but not cool enough) and turn off, only to semi-cool the room again once the room heated up (which was pretty much instantly when it turned off). It was a cycle of not-quite-cool-enough and hot. In the end, we changed the settings to "fan mode", which while not particularly cooling, circulated the air constantly and did not keep turning off after a few minutes. In addition to the heat, there was a wi-fi-router attached to the ceiling, nearly directly across from the bed, constantly flashing a green light. It wasn't particularly noticeable during the day, but it was very visible once all the lights were turned off. Whoever placed the router in that location must be a FUCKING MORON, or else literally blind. A better spot would have been in one of closets, where the light wouldn't be visible. Ya know, COMMON SENSE. Despite the cleanliness and quiet, due to the heat and flashing light, I was going to give this hotel 2 stars, and my husband and I agreed that we would never stay there again. But the next morning when I asked my sister-in-law's partner if he had slept well, he said he had, except it had been TOO COLD, and they had to turn off the air conditioner in the middle of the night! Not only that, but I noticed that their room did not have a wi-fi router. So it seems like we got a dud room. Knowing that not every room is sweltering hot or has flashing lights, and considering it was a clean and quiet hotel, I am giving this hotel three stars and would consider staying again, just not in room 102. Our trip to Canada was primarily for Whistler for New Years. We started to look for hotels in Whistler late September to find out hotels/lodging was at least $250+ a night!! With our plane tickets and ski pass, we couldn't afford it. So we settled here, which is about 30-45 mins away. And for 3 nights, it was about the same price as a night in Whistler (that's if you book early). The hotel is in a quiet and cute little town. The hotel itself is beautiful. Parking is free, which is a plus. Once we entered the lobby, we were greeted by staff. The staff working there are very nice and accommodating to your needs. We booked a Studio room, which was very nice. It was probably one of my favorite hotel rooms I've ever stayed in. The room is modern, and you have your own kitchenette with pots, dishes, large refrigerator, etc for your convenience. And I am in LOVE with the soaps and stuff they provided. It smells so good!! Hahah anyways, I definitely recommend anyone on a trip to Whistler to stay at this hotel. It will definitely save you a lot of money and the hotel is great!! read more

You definitely need a car! This is for the hotel only, the restaurant Norman's Rudy is separately run. To get there you need a car, there is no bus stop or other way to get there. We used extensively taxi services during out stay as the nearest grocery store is a 20min walk away. Although the Greyhound Bus Stop is not in walking distance, when you have luggage with you. Reception was nice and friendly, everything was as we booked it online. The rooms are fully equipped, unfortunately we found some leftover snacks (don't know how old) in the cupboard next to our bed. The second bed was a couch. Refrigerator in the room was very loud so we had to switch it off so that the guy on the couch could sleep. Although you can hear people talking on the hallway outside. We stayed 4 days and went off in the morning, returned midday and left again for another hiking trip until 4 or 5 in the evening. In all the days it was no possible to clean our rooms, so we helped ourselves with new towels from a cart in the hallway. The reception was always helpful and more than friendly to us. read more

Good hotel to spend a weekend. A few complaints though, bed is too small for 2 adults, the air conditioner was noisy and not cool enough on a 35c day and 22c night. The cleaning lady missed cleaning our room in her daily chore and we need to ask her to come back at 5:00pm to redo our room. That said, the room was comfortable, the amenities were all there. Love this hotel it's not really close to any shops so it's usually quite but they have patios on every suite and that makes a huge difference. The pool and hot tub are amazing and never really to full. They have an in house restaurant which is always an bonus. Next time you're in town check it out. read more

The front desk reps were friendly and welcoming. The room we got was clean and tidy. The bath tub curtain was damaged when we came, there were 3 rips/holes on the curtain. Also the knob on the closet close to the washroom was damaged. These are minor things but still would be nice if they were not damaged. I notified 'Sally' at the front desk the next morning and she said she took note of it. The wash basin was outside the washroom. Which I think is ok, provided there is a wash basin also in the washroom. If there can only one wash basin other than the kitchen sink, it should be located in the washroom. If a guest needs to mind their call of nature in the washroom and need to wash their hands, they have to get out of the washroom just to wash their hands, which is not convenient, awkward or embarassing if they have room mates they don't normally share washroom with, or they may be touching the door know with dirty hands. The mountain view is worth the extra charge, although we weren't able to really take advantage of it because of the short stay. I saw a bear close to the edge of forest, but it was just a second or two as it dashed behind the next bunch of trees. It was too fast so I was not able to take a picture. I would imagine the sunrise photography would be nice on the mountain view terrace. The pool was good amenity. Although it's not big, still good to have a short swim. there should be more than one shower rooms/stalls for the gym/swimming pool. I was able to shower because it was only me that time. What if there are other people who want to shower at the same time, and there is only one shower room? Also the hot/warm water takes time before it comes. The water that came out was cold for a 2 minutes because the hot/warm water came out. I had to shower in the cold before the water became warm. the water heater/boiler capacity may have to be increased. The Norman Rudy's is located on the 1st floor. It has daily event/activity is great program although we weren't able to take advantage of it. I imagine it would be fun to participate. We ordered the steak and eggs for take out and were delighted with the meal as the steak was perfectly cooked. The room was fully equiped with 2 TVs, stove, microwave, pots and utensils, iron, hair blower, washer and dryer, etc that guests can virtually do the same chores they would normally do at their home. Also the terrace with chairs and table is nice addition enjoy the outdoors/fresh air without leaving the room. The room size was pretty decent as it can accomodate up to 4 without feeling cramped. I like the 'green'/environmentally conscious reclying bin in the room as well as in the lobby, where we can put recyclable materials to save the environment. Overall I recommend the Executive Suites, especially the mountainview suite as the mountain scene with snow top is break taking (there was still snow in May on some mountain peak like the Atwell) plus the terrace to sit down and relax with fresh air from the forests and mountain, you may even see wild life coming out of the forest, fully equipped room, and the recycle bin for the environmentally-conscious people. Just mind if you use the swimming pool/gym, there is only one shower room for the men, I would imagine it's the same for the women. Also this hotel has no complimentary breakfast. It would be a big plus if breakfast is complimentary. read more

Great two bedroom suite with Mountain View. The suite was a nice size for our party of three adults. Perfect location for our four night stay. All the employees were very kind and knowledgeable. The room was fabulous. I will definitely stay at the Executive Suite Hotel on my next visit to Squamish. We recommend this hotel over any other one in Squamish. We say that with confidence because we have also stayed at several other hotels In Squamish. The mountain view rooms are certainly worth the extra cost. Called in to make reservation for one night. Arrived to property and the names was incorrect and wrong date as well. Front desk staff I believe his name was Peter and was so rude. Said sorry you have no reservation here. Then found out they could not find us as late name was spelled wrong. Peter then came to say sorry the date says a different day and the rate is more. I explained to the staff that it's an error and we are here for my mothers birthday go the night. Peter then started with an attitude and said " I WILL CANCEL YOUR RESERVATION AND YOU CAN GO ELSEWHERE " . I asked for manager and he said the manager will tell you the same thing. Front desk Peter walked away and got the manager. She was very apologetic and made things much better. She was amazing help. I have never been told to elsewhere. This is unexpected as it was 5pm on a Saturday night and spending 325 for the night. A great place to stay! Stayed here for 2 nights during a conference last week, and I really liked it! The room was a full suite, with a living room, kitchen, dining area etc. The kitchen was definitely nicer than mine at home...! The bed was a little firmer than I like, so my sleep wasn't perfect, but that's ok, just personal preference. The shower was nice, and I loved that there's a washer/dryer in suite - I just wish I'd brought my laundry with me! The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, and I definitely took full advantage of the pool and hot tub! They were very clean and just the right temperatures. Housekeeping wasn't as thorough as I'd like - the room has carpet and there were definitely some little bits left on it from the last folks who stayed. The location is a bit out of the way - it's a solid 20-25min walk to get to the nearest little strip mall, but having a car made it super accessible. There's a golf course behind it that also has frolf and soccer golf options, which is pretty freaking cool! I had grand plans to frolf, but it was a little pricier than I wanted to pay (considering the course I usually use is free!) All in all a lovely place to stay! I'd come back next time I stay in Squamish. read more

The full kitchen and laundry is a HUGE treat, saved us money and was a blessing for our early morning wake up calls. Only complaint is the sofa bed is hella springy! "Whoa! Wow! Freaking awesome!" -- these were the words from my 2 daughters. Verbatim. That was our initial responses both emotionally and physically as we drove up to the front entrance of the Executive Suites Hotel & Resort here in Squamish, BC, Canada. Stunning backdrop of mountains and creeks, we knew we were going to be in for a great stay. Our 2 bedroom suite was incredible! Felt like home. In-suite laundry to clean some of our clothes after our hike, as well as a full kitchen to make our own meals... awesome. The staff are super friendly, wifi has been decent (could use a boost on the bandwidth though), and the outdoor heated pool and hot tub were a hit with all of us. We've loved our stay and plan to stay here again next time we find ourselves in Squamish. PS - they have dog friendly rooms/suites too! My boyfriend and I jumped at the chance to visit Squamish when we saw the Living Social deal for a one-night stay at the Executive Suites. The reception was very friendly and helpful as I booked our stay. Although we showed up at 3pm and the check-in time was 4pm, they accommodated us and gave us a beautiful studio suite, with kitchen. The room was very clean, and modern looking. We took full advantage of the amenities, swimming in the outdoor/indoor pool and relaxing in the hot tub after a long hike on the Chief. We had drinks at the on sight restaurant, the Living Room (separate review), and borrowed one of the DVDs at the front desk to watch after dinner. The bed was super comfortable, and we woke up well-rested and enjoyed brunch at the Living Room. The view of the mountain range behind the hotel is beautiful too! Drawbacks: This hotel is located down Tantalous road, kind of far away from the restaurants in Squamish, which lead to us spending a lot of money on a cab to drive to and from dinner. Being located in an active, outdoorsy town I expected this hotel to be pet friendly, but they would not allow our small dog join us on the trip, while many other hotels do. read more

My girlfriends and I grabbed the Living Social deal for a birthday weekend. I've been a regular to Whistler for the last 7 years or so and wasn't too familiar with Squamish. My friend is a local to Vancouver and says that it's been developed recently with the nearby restaurants and shops, etc. The room itself was designed to be for those with 'extended stays' (such as business folks - hence Executive Suites). It offered a king size bed along with a pull out bed and a washer/dryer and fully stoked kitchen. We only stayed the one night and were excited to try out the outdoor hot tub after the long drive up. The water temperature just seemed to be turned way down (it was perhaps a luke warm bath vs. a hot tub). It was also small and we had it to capacity with about 8 people in it. So a little awkward to be squished up against strangers when you want to relax. They also ran out of towels and so we were thankful we had brought our room towels down although it meant we were now left with hot tub water towels to shower with. There was a large deck which could come in handy during summer months but it was too cold in February to hang out there. read more

This past weekend we were looking for a hotel in the Squamish area. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of this hotel. Clean with great amenities including a full kitchen - not just a fridge and microwave. The only downside was the check in time is later than most hotels at 4 PM - however the price, location and view of the mountains made up for that in the end. read more

Having a daily busy schedule means I need a break to recharge my battery to continue to conquer the world. Reception was friendly and fast. Executive upgraded our suite! The suite faced the mountains and included a balcony. The 1 bedroom suite felt like home--comfy bed, fireplace, dining table with wine glasses, dishes, pots, fridge, microwave, stove with oven, dishwasher, washer, dryer, tv, utensils, exhaust fan, DVD player etc. Other amenities included a pool, hot tub, fitness facility and spa that I will use the next time I stay here. The suite was bright and pleasant to be in during the day. Romantic and relaxing in the evening time. 2 adults. Free parking and wi-fi. Executive had DVDs available too. Comfy bed and quiet hotel equals great sleep!! Recycling boxes inside the suite along with regular waste baskets. Awesome soap, shampoo, etc. Price was reasonable. The only downside was the CD player on the clock radio didn't work. Not an issue for me but my partner wanted to listen to his CD and the DVD player could not play both CDs and DVDs. I was teetering between giving this place 3 or a 4 star. I wish they had 1/2 stars as I would have given it s 3 1/2 star based on they call themselves the executive suites and they don't even have the basic necessities such as robes especially when you have pool amenities. What's the deal with that? They call themselves the executive but they don't offer you coffee creamer in your room with your coffee, just cheap coffee mate. What's up with that? And the towels are cheaper quality and all marked with black felt marker so people won't steal them. I thought only low budget motels do that. The room was clean. Normal size but the website made the king suite seem grand and the one bedroom king suite wasn't as big as we thought but still not bad. Only paid $269 not bad. The pool only had four tanning lawn chairs so be prepared to tan on your towel on concrete or sit on one of their couches. The pool was nice and heated. Service in the restaurant was horrible every time. Front desk staff was great attentive and accommodating! It wasn't bad for the money. Probably the best you'll find in Squamish for sure. If I had to stay in Squamish again I'd probably go back there as there's not really anywhere else much better to go. Very nicely setup place with friendly staff. We rented a 2 bedroom suite for a nite - felt nicely setup giving it a condo-like feel. Kids thought it was a cool place for a hotel. Unfortunately it was raining that day so we couldn't try out the pool and the hot tub. The only downside were the bedsheets which felt like paper and made a lot of noise each time you moved on the bed - I guess if you are not a lite sleeper this will not be a big deal. read more

We were celebrating a birthday at the restaurant with about 15 or so people on a Saturday night..we had a few small children that were acting up as children often do..so we would take the children out into the lobby of the hotel (which is attached to the restaurant ) to try and calm them down, etc. The hotel staff was pretty rude to us on more than a few occasions about our children saying " they couldn't take there reservation calls because of the noise"...The hotel staff was very unprofessional about trying to deal with us which kinda of really tainted our birthday dinner all around! However the food was decent and the service was good from the restaurant, but still undecided if I would ever do a big family meal there ever again based on this experience . read more

While this used to be a great place, it seems to have gone majorly downhill. I've been treated rudely by the manager and there's disgusting soaked carpet all around our bed which they've not addressed in four days. When we checked in and told them about the carpet, they said they were already aware of it but they had still rented us this room! They've done nothing to resolve the issue other than hand us some extra towels, despite the carpet being soaked for the last four days. Today, it turns out their annual fire alarm testing was going on, but we weren't informed, despite the fact that we stayed there for four nights with our dog and we even spoke to their staff at the front desk this morning. They claimed there were signs at the front desk, but I even had walked by several times while walking my dog in the morning, AND stopped in and spoken to front desk staff and did not see signs, nor was I ever been informed. So when I complained because when I came home, my dog was terrified as the fire alarms went on over and over, the manager instead of apologizing, said "I'm sorry you didn't see the signs." Clearly, no ownership over their responsibility to properly inform the people in the hotel. I'm usually a pretty patient person because Ive worked in the service industry but I was shocked at how rude he was with me on the phone. Then he proceeded to give me a hard time because his pet policy doesn't allow people to leave pets unattended in the rooms (even though, our dog hasn't caused any issues at all in the hotel whatsoever). What great customer service! I definitely recommend other hotels in Squamish over this one after that horrible experience. read more

Currently staying here as we speak for the long weekend with a little one. Space is nice and big and the view is pretty. Nice to have a large fridge that is cold and laundry machine if needed. Unfortunately the place is NOT that clean. Food residue left in the microwave...I think I found a nail clipping on the couch...food on the floor. Speaking of the floor the carpet needs a good cleaning and the tile in the bathroom also needs a deep scrubbing. Let's just say I felt more comfortable using a antibacterial wipe on the toilet before I could use it.... Update...well after I wrote my review last night the fire alarm went off at 130am. And lucky me I get to put my 8 month old back to sleep. No one was at the desk to answer any questions and we were left completely hanging. I won't be coming back here again!!! read more

The dissapointment starts from booking. After a total of 12 frustrating and useless calls, our booking was finally confirmed by hotel staff 48 hours after our last phone call. Apparently when they agreed to help us in the first 11, they were lying Additionally, their attitudes were completely unprofessional. Their condescension and sarcasm did not contribute at all to solving our booking issues. The workers may have tried to help us, but were called out by the manager, who was repulsive not only to us but the staff. Her rude responses did not reflect the values of the hotel, unless their values were to make everyone in the room dissapointed. I would never recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. I wish there was something nice to say about ANYTHING here. I really dont want to sound like a prick. When you come to squamish book an airbnb instead. They are much more affordable and welcoming even without staff. read more

I stayed at this hotel Dec 31 to Jan 3, 2015. I loved it, I had a 1 bedroom mountain view suit that had a beautiful scenic view of snow covered mountains. The hotel was clean. Great kitchens with full stove and fridge and everything you need if you want to have some meals in your suite. The decor was up to date and tvs in both rooms for families. There was even an in suite washer and dryer! I didnt rate a 5 star because my only complaint was that the restaurant was closed most of the time during our stay and when it was open, we went to the lounge at 9pm on Saturday and it was closed!!!! I thought this was odd for a fully reserved hotel. And the receptionist was rude 1 of the days but in her defence I beleive they were understaffed. They were extremely busy they even ran out of towels once! I will definatley be going to this hotel again with my family and will refer my friends. Just south of touristy Whistler is this great place. Washer and dryer in the room. The restaurant was fabulous. Some of the best food we had on our trip through Vancouver and surrounds. Two baby bear cubs playing in the distance for the view. We drove from Vancouver to Whistler, did the Peak to Peak and then came to Squamish to sleep. A great way to go! read more

So bad experience! They sold our hotel room out when we arrived! We reserved a room like two weeks ago! They just said they can't do anything and kick us out! The front desk service was so bad too, a young lady just say:"we sold out.we sold out, it's not our mistakes!" No any sorry and rude. Lier! They overbooked!How shame are they and selfish! me and 2 friends stayed here and were immediately impressed with our room. We had a seperate room, a pull out couch, a private balcony, a washer/dryer, and a full kitchen. However we were not told about underground parking (although it was raining when we checked in) until we overheard other people talking about it. But what really got me was the unprofessional letter in the kitchen regarding dishes. It said something in terms of how they offer full housekeeping services and dishes could be arranged at a cost of $15 but the fee could be averted by simply putting the dishes in the dishwater and using the soap provided however if we do not the charge would just be added onto the room. When you consider the level of class of the room i did not expect that. My overall impression of the staff and their helpfulness was quite disappoinging. Way overpriced for what kind of service you recieve in my opinion. I value customer service too much to ever stay here again. read more
