We had the two bedroom suite and it was great. One bedroom was a little small (hard to pass the dresser and bed- they were only inches apart on one corner. But I was happy the bed was a queen and not a full- so totally something you can over look Suite came with a beautiful view, balcony, fireplace, two bathrooms, a full kitchen and all cooking utensils etc and a washer and dryer. And it was in EXCELLENT condition Nice heated pool and jacuzzi. Excellent weight/work out room Front desk is extremely helpful and friendly. Loved them- wish I wrote down names, as they really deserve shout outs.

This is a very good hotel likely the best in the area . Comfortable rooms , friendly and prompt service staff. We stayed in a room with a kitchen and it had all the pans and utensils we needed . The views are very lovely both In the front and back of the hotel. My only critique is the cost is a bit high at $179 per room and up especially when one factors in there is not even a continental breakfast included .

Our trip to Canada was primarily for Whistler for New Years. We started to look for hotels in Whistler late September to find out hotels/lodging was at least $250+ a night!! With our plane tickets and ski pass, we couldn't afford it. So we settled here, which is about 30-45 mins away. And for 3 nights, it was about the same price as a night in Whistler (that's if you book early). The hotel is in a quiet and cute little town. The hotel itself is beautiful. Parking is free, which is a plus. Once we entered the lobby, we were greeted by staff. The staff working there are very nice and accommodating to your needs. We booked a Studio room, which was very nice. It was probably one of my favorite hotel rooms I've ever stayed in. The room is modern, and you have your own kitchenette with pots, dishes, large refrigerator, etc for your convenience. And I am in LOVE with the soaps and stuff they provided. It smells so good!! Hahah anyways, I definitely recommend anyone on a trip to Whistler to stay at this hotel. It will definitely save you a lot of money and the hotel is great!!

Good hotel to spend a weekend. A few complaints though, bed is too small for 2 adults, the air conditioner was noisy and not cool enough on a 35c day and 22c night. The cleaning lady missed cleaning our room in her daily chore and we need to ask her to come back at 5:00pm to redo our room. That said, the room was comfortable, the amenities were all there. There is a fully fitted kitchenette completed with refrigerator, microwave and dish washer, so we cooked breakfast ourselves which was a cozy experience.

An instant favourite was the scallops which was rich and creamy without being overly heavy. The atmosphere is casual but classy, making it the perfect spot for a relaxed meal. The ingredients are incredibly fresh, and the flavors are expertly balanced.

We decided to spend our Anniversary here at the Rockwater Secret Cove Resort from Washington. Years…read moreago we stayed here and stayed in a historic cabin. This time we reserved a water side tent. We could not have been happier. This thing is an actual tent with a metal frame. It's one main space with a small bump out for the water closet. There's a shower/sink area with a jetted soaking tub on the other side. Don't get any illusions about sound insulation or sound privacy. These things are lightly constructed and move in the wind which was very cool because a wind storm rolled in. The sea was rolling and all we could here was wind and breakers hitting the rocks below us. There's a gas fireplace inside and the double doors lead out onto the deck for the unobstructed view. We had no problems with the front desk or housekeeping. Just know the way you get to the tents is on a long raised boardwalk along the cliff side. If you get a tent with a high number it's a pretty good hump. There are also copious amounts of stairways leading to the tents from the walkway. They have some luggage carts to use and they pick them up after you drag your stuff to your tent. We enjoyed every minute and barely left our tent. It was pretty quiet and restful. The restaurant/bar is in the main building and is considered high end. The prices certainly are but I did not see that in the food per se. I had seafood linguine. It had scallops (scallop bits actually) shrimp, Krab, and a hint of salmon. First off when you put shrimp in a creamy pasta dish the tails need to be removed. The shrimp in my dish had tails. I took time to remove them which I shouldn't have had to do. The salmon was a few flaky chunks about the size of my thumbnail. The flavor was okay but I found the sauce a bit runny and the linguine was not cooked long enough for me. I did not complain though. My Bride had a lamb dish with vegetables and whipped potatoes. We are coming back to stay here but will most likely not patronize the restaurant. I thought it was overpriced even at the US to Canada exchange rate. This takes nothing away from the resort. It's amazing here and we shall return.

Extra plus? The shower had such amazing water pressure and after traveling nonstop for a week, this was so relaxing to enjoy. The staff is usually friendly, though I didn't appreciate the employee who checked me in this time calling me "hey you," when they called me over to advise my room was ready. My name is right in front of you on the screen, use it. The hotel is connected by a covered walkway to the casino, so definitely wander that way and lose, or win, some money.

Twice already I was given complimentary upgrade. Front desk is always high in customer service. I don't gamble, but went I walk across the casino to get to the parking area or night market, there's no smoke whatsoever. I just found out they are pet friendly. And so is the night market. So next time we bring the fur babies. Not to mention their outstanding spa. I'll write that review on their own page. Also compared to the other hotels in the area, the price is pretty decent.

Beware of Unscrupulous business practices! Anyone traveling to Powell River please be extremely…read morecautious if you stay at the Beach Gardens Resort and Marina. If you are thinking about booking this property, I would strongly advise you to reconsider. I stayed at the Beach Gardens Resort and Marina for one night, while traveling to the Sunshine Coast. At check in I was informed that a $200 damage deposit would be charged to my card in addition to the nightly charge for the room. I figured it was similar to the pre-authorizations for incidentals etc so I wasn't overly concerned at the time. My initial impression of the property and the check in attendant was that they both seemed a bit sketchy. I know myself well enough though to know that I should have listened to my intuition and that What happened next should have come as no surprise. There was a notice posted in the room with the check out instructions. The instructions were to leave the key cards in the room and invoices would be emailed the following day. I figured the reason for this was that they were short-staffed so I left my key cards on the dresser as instructed and left. A few days had passed and I hadn't received the refund or an email with my receipt. I contacted the hotel through Expedia and received a reply from Cheryl Ilott, the Rooms Division Manager, on Aug 15th, confirming that the charge for the deposit had been released. The message I received from Cheryl stated, "We released it the next day on our end and it is now up to your bank when they do it." Cheryl Ilott. The message was very straightforward. It was clear from her response that the property was confirming that they had released the $200 damage deposit and any further delay was due to my bank. Essentially they were removing themselves of any liability for the deposit not being returned to my card and transferred the blame to my bank. Another 5 days had passed and there was still no refund, so on Aug 20th I contacted my bank. My bank confirmed that the charge had not been refunded as I had suspected. The agent asked me to contact the hotel to confirm the transaction details in order to get proof that they had released the deposit. I reached out to Expedia to see if they could assist me as I had made the booking through their site. It was at that time I was informed by the Expedia agent who had contacted the property on my behalf, that the TV was broken and the deposit had not been released. Firstly this entire broken TV scenario is a complete and utter fabrication. I was never informed of any of this by the hotel nor did they ever email me a receipt of my stay as is their protocol. I am an experienced traveler and have never been accused of damaging a TV, a hotel room or any its contents. I'm at a loss for how I could be accused of this by these people. I was given no details of the damages to the TV, no explanation of the charges or proof to support this ridiculous accusation. Although I am unfamiliar with this situation I can't imagine that any reputable business would just withhold a damage deposit without the courtesy of informing their customers of the charges. It goes without saying that this is not a reputable establishment. The claim against me is untrue and the way in which the hotel staff handled this was extremely unprofessional. These people are not only dishonest but are desperate! How is it that on August 15th I was told by Miss Cheryl Ilott, their Rooms Manager, that the deposit had been refunded and then 5 days later on August 20th, the story changed completely and I'm being accused of breaking their TV? Overall, I feel really badly for the hotel employees and management. When people have to resort to such unethical business practices and wrongfully accuse their guests of damages to generate income due to their apparent lack of cash flow is just tragically pathetic. So many employees and businesses, especially those in the hospitality industry, have been hit hard by the pandemic. But that's certainly no excuse to lie and make these types of accusations. It's sad that there are people like this who lack integrity managing this hotel. It's unfortunate because the location is so beautiful. During my stay there I remember thinking about what a beautiful property it could have been if only it had been owned and operated by the right people. Maybe one day it could be amazing and all hope is Not lost. I hope that one day this will be a lovely place for travelers to stay and that these desperate people don't have to resort to lying and defrauding their guests for much longer. Hopefully my review will shed some light on this situation and I can make a positive impact by preventing other guests from being taken advantage of.
