Trying to contact people during the summer months is somewhat painstaking, and the staff who greeed me at the door have the same warmth as the secretary character in Monster's Inc, Roz. If you have to go upstairs to the Special Ed department, know that you are once again greeted with an unwarm hello. For parents of a young child, just entering school, I was completely turned off. We were recommended to go there for a somewhat sensitive evaluation, and I ended up just feeling like I was a bother to most of the staff. The building is old and not welcoming, the staff seemed incredibly disorganized (they messed up my appointment) and we left our appointment thinking that we might not want to continue doing any schooling through PVD.

this is the worst school in providence. the lunch food is NASTY so i told my dad to bring me food…read morefor lunch. they didn't let him in the school. i went to get my food and the principal took it away and told me i would get back in lunch. i went back to his office during lunch m he refused to even leave his office to give me the food or to even tell me he was going to give me it. he didn't have the balls to tell me i wouldn't get the food i wasted my money on back. i went again after school to get it. the food wouldn't have been good cause the bread would've been soggy. he refused to give it to me again. i know he ate my sandwich. it was a cubano w jugo de chinolla. i hate the school and hate the principal.

I will start this review by saying - if you're not even sure if you want a kid, but might someday -…read morestop reading, get yourself on the waitlist NOW, and then come back and finish reading.   Every time we talk about moving, I can't bring myself to pull the trigger because I don't want to take my son out of this amazing early learning center, and I have no idea how we would ever find a daycare that compares?!!!  So much stems from the awesome owners, who employ and develop a great staff, and promote a culture of client satisfaction. We are so taken care of here, our feedback is frequently requested.  Any questions I've had, are answered within hours - day or night.  And I have to give Jamie, the Director, major props because not only is she cool, calm, and collected with great communication skills, but she's also fashionable, stunning, and super funny. In addition to the amazing employees and the beautiful and bright space, this is a quick list of what I love so much about A Child's University: *It is accredited - It is extremely difficult to achieve and maintain academic accreditation.  It shows in all levels of the education. Yes, even my 11 month old had a daily curriculum they follow including themes, art projects, science, math, and health/motor skills. *Daily art projects.  Yep, even in the baby room, they do art! *They exceed the state's teacher ratio standards by staffing more educators in each room than the state requires.  Full time educators have their degree. *It's clean.   *They play music entering and leaving the building, and in the baby room. *They use an app that sends push notifications so I know the minute my son goes down for a nap, has a wet diaper, and how much of his lunch he ate (or threw on the floor as the case may be). *They send several pictures daily and have a live stream camera. *They have a nurse on staff daily. *The staff is so loved, and in return they shower our babies with love.  It makes me smile to see all of the love notes and gifts that the teachers received.

If you're one of the many who have to head back to work with a new baby in tow, then you know…read morethere's nothing more nerve-wracking than placing your brand new darling in someone else's hands. You worry about whether your baby will like the caretaker...whether s/he will like them more than you...whether they will care for your baby as well as you could...and whether they will be kind enough to not tell you that they witnessed your baby's first word/crawl/gurgle/etc. If you're also in tune to the importance of early childhood education, you likely also want to know whether they follow the standards for care and that they are fostering your child's social, emotional, and educational learning and expanding your baby's gross motor skills. Whew. It's exhausting, thinking about all those things...and, as a new parent, I thought of all those and more when trying to decide where to enroll our daughter. A Child's University was seriously one of, if not the, best place we could imagine. Each and every day, she loves going to 'school'. I also love that she can grow there and maintain continuity, as the school goes up until Kindergarten. I have full confidence that she will develop mentally, socially, and emotionally under their watch. They do wonderful craft projects, even with the teensy babies, and every time I pick her up she is happily playing with the various toys or other children - always with one or more of the teachers sitting watchfully. All of this allows you, the parent, to feel good about the fact that your child is engaged all day long. And, while they do have a ton of rules and protocols to follow, I know all are done with safety in mind. The teachers are outstanding. I am not joking when I say that a primary concern of mine is whether they will be sensitive to the conflicting emotion caused by leaving your baby with another caretaker. For that kindness, and for the kindness they show to my daughter each and every day, they get an A+ in my book.

Wow staff is amazing so friendly and helpful. Clients and myself really enjoyed our time there from making artwork to signing and practicing for plays.
