The visitation experience at this unit was leaps and bounds better than the Ellis Unit. The staff were also friendlier and not quite legalistic about security. (There is security, but it's mixed with common sense.) From start to finish, I thoroughly enjoyed getting to see my friend again. Thank you to the unit for making this trip pleasurable. The entire unit also seemed immaculately manicured and highly maintained. Felt kind of envious and jealous of my friend and the other inmates.

I had a scheduled appoint time of 3pm but got there early I signed in and received my ticket with a time stamp of 2:39pm. I was called to my window before 3pm where we met Lindsay. She was truly kind, pleasant, patient, funny, and very helpful. She walked me through the process that is Medicare and SS benefits without issue. I was able to complete my business and off to a late lunch/early dinner by 3:15. I can't say enough nice things about this experience and the employees (Officer Castillo and Lindsay) I encountered during this visit. His teacher sends home sweet notes and updates about how well he ate, about his nap time, and how his day went. Since I provide lunch, I can control what he eats. I would not think to send my son anywhere else. I also love the flexibility. No other daycare facilities, in Belton or Temple, would take my son part-time without outragious fees. BCYC is affordable with caring teachers.

The bridge spans 475-feet, and at one point, was considered the longest single-span suspension bridge west of the Mississippi. The Waco Suspension Bridge is majestic, yet aesthetically pleasing. It now serves as a pedestrian crossing. When you walk out on the bridge, it is peaceful, quiet and serene. Listening to the water meander under the bridge almost puts you in a trance. In addition to the bridge, the steers in the front of the bridge are being renovating...painted and sealed with hot wax.
