TL;DR: Craigo lost a legal suit against me and has refused to pay.
I contacted Craigo on a referral that he could cut a door in the basement of our house. Though I only got him to talk on the phone once, he agreed he could do the job and then communicated primarily over text after that. He agreed to come when my in-laws would be available to meet him, and no-showed twice before showing up the third day.
What he did not tell me is that he had sold the necessary equipment to do the job to another contractor when he 'retired', and was attempting to cut a 10" wall with an 8" saw - which is all he had. Well, you can't do that... not without going into the house and cutting through the drywall, studs, and molding... Which he did without approval.
The mess he left in my basement was one thing. He didn't even bother to lay a tarp down over the carpet while using a wet saw *when the tarp was hanging over the opening*. This effectively turned the carpet into a cement pad by the time I got home hours later.
What's even worse is that 1) he didn't even cut a door or make the cuts he *did* make inside and out line up, and 2) he then requested full payment via text for an incomplete job - three weeks later. When I called, he just sent harassing threats via text, and I would not have bothered to post this review except he then filed an illegal mechanic's lien for work not done, which I had to sue him to remove.
I won the suit, and he owes damages and legal fees, which now, even *two years later*, he has not paid. Unethical and incompetent: do not use. read more
