Day 3 without pain meds or antibiotics.

After spending about 3 minutes with Dr. Wilkes at my initial consultation I was told that I needed a joint replacement in my right foot. I was trusting and agreed to the surgery. Two days before the surgery I received a message that a script for pain meds and antibiotics had been submitted to a pharmacy that I had never used in the past. And I had never used this pharmacy because they didn't accept my insurance. I contacted the office multiple times and was told the mistake would be corrected. Since the script had not been properly submitted by the day of the surgery I mentioned it again, both to the OR prep nurse and Dr Wilkes. I was assured the meds would be available post op. But they were not. Since the surgery was on a Friday (don't ever have surgery on a Friday) I was forced to go the weekend without meds. On Monday I contacted the office 3 times and was told the messages would be relayed to Dr. Wilkes. But Monday evening the pain had become so bad that I required a trip to Sutter Roseville ER. (See attached pic) The ER provider submitted the script for pain meds and antibiotics immediately. After a couple of months post op and still experiencing intense pain in my right foot I question Dr. Wilkes as to the surgical procedure that he had performed. He assured me the "joint replacement" had been successful and that it would take a few more months before I would have any relief. After seeing Dr Wilkes multiple times and getting the same explanation re. the surgery I decided to see a different podiatrist. Upon the first visit this new podiatrist scheduled an MRI of my right foot. Long story short, the MRI did not show that the joint had been replaced. The doctor mentioned that she was unable to determine what had been done during the surgery by Dr. Wilkes. She also mentioned that the joint was "destroyed" and that a second surgery would be required to fuse what was left of the joint in question. There are other negatives associated with my treatment from Dr. Wilkes but I'll skip over those to keep this review as brief as possible. If you're considering surgery with Dr. Craig Wilkes I would definitely advise to seek a second opinion.

Dr Wilkes better than the good feet store

This is my second visit here, this clinic has a kind , friendly and welcoming staff. This clinic is in a building with other small clinics. Dr. Manson is understanding kind and friendly. Their appointments are not too far out and get what you need in a good timely manner. Also, I'm totally not doing a 5 star review for the Starbucks card.... that's just a plus . Definately recommend this clinic.

Office bribe for good reviews

This office bribes people for 5 star reviews--take the positive comments with a grain of salt. I visited the office because I didn't know many reviews could have been bought. Bad experience-- sloppy, unprofessional, unhelpful. I've since found a thoughtful & helpful podiatrist in San Francisco, luckily.

Amazing, life altering , healing of plantar fasciitis. Struggled for months and sometimes years with traditional therapy( ice, exercises, rest) and it would take months to get rid of the pain. Only a few treatments with MLS LASER AND IT NEVER CAME BACK! Try and see. All the best Doctors and staff in Rocklin office.

Dr. Chima is fantastic, as is his MA, Charity!…read more I've been going to this office for a few years and Dr. Chima has always been a wealth of knowledge, understanding, patient and thorough. Charity is ALWAYS happy and cheerful The front office staff is not super warm - well not really warm at all.. and they don't exhibit great eye contact which is a pet peeve of mine considering I used to do that same job years ago... but it's a small price to pay for the physician and his support staff.

I was assigned Dr. Roy Harris as my PCP. Although I prefer to have a female PCP, I was okay with scheduling all of my appointments with his NP Janina. She was awesome, but eventually moved out of state. I then scheduled with NP Wendy and was happy for the most part with the care I received. At around the time she retired, the practice brought a female MD on board. I thought, "Great, I can finally have a female MD as my PCP!" Her profile described her as exactly the doctor I had been waiting for. When I called the office to schedule an annual physical with her, I was told NO because Dr. Harris was my PCP. I told the scheduler that I was not comfortable with a male performing a physical and asked to change my PCP to Dr. Michelle Do. I was told that had to be "approved" by someone named Cynthia in the office and I would receive a call back later that day. While awaiting the call back (which never happened), I started reading reviews online and was appalled by the multiple negative reviews of Dr. Harris specifically. At that point, I was not just uncomfortable with having a male PCP, but with him being my PCP. It took two more calls to the office that week to ultimately be told by Cynthia that I could NOT change my PCP assignment. It did not matter to her that in 10 years, I had never had one appointment with him or that I was completely uncomfortable with him. She claimed the practice has a policy about switching doctors. When I asked for the policy via my patient portal, she admitted that there was nothing in writing. Anyone in health care knows that if it is not in writing, then it doesn't exist. She was incredibly rude and dismissive. By the end of my phone call, the scheduler Roberta and Queen Cynthia confirmed the following: If I were a brand new patient, then I could choose Dr. Do as my PCP. Because I was already a patient, I no longer had a choice. (Whichever PCP a patient starts with is who they are stuck with.) If I wanted an annual physical with a female, then I could schedule with a nurse practitioner or physician's assistant. The female MD in their office was not a choice for me simply because my assigned PCP was Dr. Harris. Their supposed "policy" of not allowing patients to change their PCP is completely disrespectful. Brand new patients have a choice but established patients do not. Their website claims to "deliver personalized health care" and that their "philosophy is to provide individualized care", yet they will not allow patients to have a say in who provides their care. Horrible business model.

I specifically went to this chiropractor because he has a frequency specific microcurrent machine. It is undoubtedly the only way that you will fix certain problems. My previous chiropractor from Portland Oregon used this system to fix a very bad ligament tear around my sacroiliac joint. When I went into the office, I actually looked kind of silly. My hips were very out of balance in relation to my spine. William, the husband chiropractor, did a microcurrent treatment on a couple of very bad spasms that I had. They did an exceptional job of relieving the pain. As anyone knows, when you get a very bad injury that leads to prolonged pain, then you need somebody good to fix it. I would not only recommend these doctors, I would suggest that if you go to most other places, that you may find that a quick adjustment is only a temporary fix. These doctors will provide a real solution to your problems. I hope I do not get injured again, but if I do I will be back here for sure.

Between weights and jiu jitsu I get pretty torn up. Dr. M was able to fix this up also. She has the skill and equipment to fix you up. She is priced really fairly. Dr. M is who I see when I need to get back to 100%.

Dr Hansen did my rotator cuff surgery…read more I was a combination of a very old tear and 2 recent tears. My diagnosis was "Massive Rotator Cuff Tear". He was my second opinion, and he felt that I should not get my hopes too high of being able to reconnect my muscles and tendons. Much of my muscle had deteriorated from the years old tear. Most likely I would just have a graft of tissue to keep my arm in my shoulder socket. At 52 years young, being a contractor and small rancher, not getting use of my arm back was just not sitting well with me. I chose Dr Hansen to do the surgery even tho he was more pessimistic about able being able to "fix" my shoulder. I did so because his name was given by another orthopedic Dr at another location when I asked who was known "round town" as being good with shoulders. Then on my pre op appointment, the assistant came in the office and the first thing he said was "I see you are scheduled for a graft". My heart sank a bit, and I talked about the small chance that this could be fixed and my hope is that would be attempted. I was extremely apprehensive on surgery day. Were they going to really try to work a miracle or just go straight to the graft? Should I have went to the surgeon who felt like this would be no big deal to fix? I almost canceled the surgery. I started to feel at ease when I was told that i was scheduled for 2.5 to 3 hours in the OR. This was more than twice the time the other surgeon said he would have me scheduled for. I can not effectively say how thankful and ecstatic I was when I woke up and my wife told me Dr Hansen stopped by while i was still under and informed her that he was able to re-attach my muscle and tendons. He had pulled off a small miracle. Maybe the muscle and tendons were in better shape the the MRI showed, maybe he had a lucky day. No matter what, I can not say enough that if you need a great shoulder guy, I am proof that you would be in the care of one of the best with Dr Hansen. And if you are reading this Dr Hansen, I know you may operate on over 300 of me every year, but your impact on every one of us can be life altering and I appreciate your skill and ability. I thank you so much for "fixing" my shoulder.

My follow-up appointment never felt rushed. She took the time to answer all of my questions, and we were even able to discuss when it might be appropriate to schedule surgery for my other foot. She is very informative and makes sure you understand what to expect throughout the process. A HUGE plus is how quickly Dr. Nguyentat and her assistant, James, handle work-related paperwork. When I requested paperwork, I received it the same day! I've had paperwork for another condition take months through a different doctor's office, so I really appreciate that they understand how important it is to get these forms completed quickly so your time away from work is protected. The ladies at the front desk are also extremely helpful and genuinely go above and beyond.
