We visited early afternoon on a weekday after running errands. Initially it was not busy, only a few other guests, so we were seated quickly - 3 adults and a toddler (there are high chairs available, crayons, and a coloring sheet). Since it was not busy, the hostess was attentive and got our drinks and food quickly. All the adults had strawberry lemonade, which tasted more like fruit punch without lemon. The toddler had a fruit punch which was more flavored sugar water. The adults shared a large seafood platter (boil) since we were advised that the large was enough to satisfy 3 adults, it wasn't. Luckily we had a side of sweet potato fries, which we freshly fried, hot, and tasty. For the boil, we had the Cajun seasoning with medium spicy. We didn't think to mix up the bag before opening it because we assumed it would be mixed so all the contents would be equally seasoned, but it wasn't. Thus, the contents on the top were a bit bland. It wasn't until we got to the bottom of the bag that all the seasoning had pooled at the bottom. The potatoes should have been soaked in the seasoning too, but instead, they were bland and not seasoned/soaked through with flavor. So, the food was just okay. Wet towels were provided for clean up since the hand-wash sink was inoperable. Or, guest can wash their hands in the bathroom sink. When we were almost done eating, a large party of appropriately 10 people arrived seemingly celebrating an event. After that, our service was delayed since our waitress was also helping them. Requested a substitution of potatoes with eggs instead, he was adamant that he couldnt switch it out but he could charge me extra for it. Considering that ive been in your establishment for almost 45 minutes without even a glass of water i think you couldve spared me the 1 little egg. Refusing to argue i continued with my order which came out in pretty good timing. Wings were good but definitely not lemon pepper just plain wings. from the chinese store. Rice was wet, sticky & undercooked. While eating i saw my supposed server from the other section take a seat at the bar conversing with another server. All that time you have on your hands you couldnt have possibly been too busy to serve a table of 1 individual. Decided to try this location for lunch. I don't under why they charge a 18%gratuity for a part of six (3kids & 3adults). I don't think the serve was worth 23 dollars. I usually have a craving for a clam boil once a week lol. This Crafty Crab is my usual spot it's close to my house. I always get the half pound of clams in the boom sauce medium with all corn. Great place for your seafood fix. Visited this spot for the first time and it was surprisingly great, but the time to take our order and when Our food came out is the reason for 4/5 stars. Once we were we will informed we could not be seated until our whole party arrived despite the resturant being empty. We did get seated but then sat with no server for about 10 mins. A friend stopped in and we were now a party of 6. While we couldn't get anyone to acknowledge us she was quick to come over and tell us that there was a 18% gratuity for parties of six or more. I will NEVER go to this crafty again. I would drive all the way to Fort Lauderdale. We checked in and they said it would be an hour wait. We waited and the wait was more like and hour and a half. We finally get seated and we don't order for another 30 minutes and the food takes an hour to come. We were there well past closing time! The server was nice and apologetic but this was ridiculous and we should have been notified prior that they were short servers and cooks. And they don't serve alcoholic drinks.
